Our guide Vincent made...
Our guide Vincent made this tour more than we could ask for. He is so entertaining, caring and just wanted to make sure we had the best experience in his country. His English was great. He made accommodations for our 83 year old mother and even have her a nickname. He explained the history of the sites. Showed us some of the beaten path places and have us an authentic experience. Highly recommend this trip and Vincent!!

Great tour!
I had a wonderful time on this tour with An. She is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We visited two beautiful waterfalls and two Old Streets. We also stopped by the Yin Yang sea which had some interesting old abandoned mining buildings across the street. It was fun walking through the old streets of Shifen and Jiufen where I got to try lots of local foods and snacks. I highly recommend this tour and An as your guide if possible.

Sean is the only guide you need for this tour
We booked the Jiufen, Shifen, and Houtong Cat Village private tour with Sean and it was one of the best decisions of our entire trip to Taiwan. Hitting three such different spots in one day could easily feel rushed, but Sean paced everything perfectly and made each place feel special.
Jiufen was stunning — Sean knew exactly where to position us for the best views and helped us avoid the crowds. At Shifen, he made the sky lantern experience feel genuinely memorable rather than just a tourist checkbox. And Houtong? The cats basically came to us, which we’re pretty sure was Sean’s doing.
Beyond the itinerary itself, Sean was just great company — friendly, flexible, and full of local knowledge that you won’t find in any guidebook. Having a private driver and guide made the whole day feel effortless.
Highly recommend, don’t even think about doing this one without him.

Night Market Tour
My guide, Ivy was so much fun. She met me at our meeting spot right on time and we hit it off right away. Ivy showed me so many great food and drink options in the Night Market. We also tried out the games, bought lotto tickets and used the claw machines for prizes. I had so much fun! I traveled solo and the tour was just the two of us. Her English was fantastic and I learned a few phrases in Mandarin. I would definitely recommend this tour with Ivy.

Best Taipei city, private car, and walking tour!
Jennifer was a wonderful guide, who was punctual, knowledgeable, and spoke very good English. She showed us many beautiful city sites, including temples, memorials, old city and Taipei 101. She gave us plenty of time to explore, and pointed us to a wonderful place for a restaurant in the old city. We would highly recommend Jennifer in the future and as an added, plus she was a great photographer!

Leo made it fun and educational! Loved it!
Leo was fantastic! I really enjoyed the walking tour through Taipei Old Town as it was a perfect way to get introduced to Taiwan. I had just landed and went straight to the walking tour where Leo welcomed me and the other travelers with a warm smile.
It was a beautiful day to walk through 228 Peace Memorial Park to Ximending and learn more about Taiwanese identity, culture, and history. Leo was an engaging, informative, and fun guide and I had an incredible time learning more about Taipei, Taiwan. He had me teary eyed, laughing, asking follow questions. He was a wealth of knowledge and provided great suggestions. We had sufficient time at each stop to soak in the information, take photos, and immerse ourselves in the ambiance never feeling rushed. He answered questions by providing context and perspectives. There were toilet stops along the way, which was convenient. Since it’s Lunar New Year and Lantern Festival, the tour was vibrant and lively with amazing decorations everywhere.
Overall, I’m so glad I booked this tour with Leo. Memorable experience and a great way to kickstart my exploration of Taipei!

This private tour was...
This private tour was such a great experience! My review is based on the itinerary, the guide, and the value of a private tour.
Itinerary: We knew we wanted to see some of these sights outside of Taipei, and it was arranged quite well to fit in a lot in a compact day without ever feeling rushed. There was also quite a bit of flexibility built in to the agenda. We felt like we saw touristy sightseeing spots without feeling like they were simple, shallow hops.
Guide: A was hands-down amazing, and we’d gladly book & request her again in the future. My parents already have future trips to Taiwan planned and will be booking through this company and guide again. A was an extremely efficient and smooth driver, despite the rain, the winding mountain roads, and bits of traffic. She had plenty of professional commentary to share about the sites, extended extra courtesy and hospitality to my elderly parents (age 78 & 80), and we even had great conversations about coffee, food, and nutrition. We were also impressed by her ability to comfortably float between English, Taiwanese, and Mandarin to accommodate our various levels of language proficiency. Really couldn’t recommend An higher.
Private tour: This is really the way to go, especially to preserve the magic of a family vacation. Memories, comfort, and experience are worth the investment, if you can afford it. Highly recommend it, especially for such a long day of travel.

Because of a delayed...
Because of a delayed connection we missed our flight to Taipei. So we were rebooked for the following day. We found out about the delay after the 24 cancellation window was passed. I messaged the provider directly and called Viator. The Viator help desk did nothing for me. They just said it was outside the window so no changes were possible.
The provider response was give them the new flight information and they would be there. And they were!!
The car was very nice and the travel time was less than the quoted time. I would use them again.

Great Service and punctual
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our experience with Taipei Departure Private Transfer: Hotel to Taiwan Taoyuan (TPE) was absolutely excellent. The driver was extremely punctual, professional, and courteous, making our airport drop-off completely stress-free. The car was spotless, very comfortable, and clearly well cared for, which made the ride smooth and relaxing from start to finish.
Everything was handled with precision and care, and the service exceeded our expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a reliable, clean, and top-quality private transfer in Taipei, this is the service to book. Highly recommended—we would absolutely use them again without hesitation.

We had the most...
We had the most incredible day exploring Taiwan with our tour guide, Oliver. He took us to Jiufen, Shifen Waterfall, the Golden Waterfall, the Yehliu Geopark, and even made a special stop for us to light a lantern and make wishes—plus several other thoughtful stops along the way. His timing was *perfect*; we always arrived just before the big bus tours, which made every experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.
Oliver was not only knowledgeable—sharing fascinating history and stories about Taiwan—but also genuinely personable and so easy to chat with. By the end of the tour, it felt like we had made a new friend.
I can’t recommend this tour enough. Skip the crowded big bus options and book this tour instead. You’ll get a much more intimate, meaningful, and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

A Wonderful Last Day in Taipei
I had an absolutely wonderful day with Charlotte. It was my fourth and last day in Taiwan, and she took me to many places and I hadn't seen yet, and encouraged me to try the things I'd heard about but didn't know where or how to try. So we had tea eggs (hard boiled eggs marinated in tea) a type of fruit I've already forgotten the name of, and various nut and sesame and tea infused treats. We went to a traditional market, and I got to ask all my many questions, mostly: what is THAT? I have traveled in Asia before, to Japan and Singapore and Indonesia, but it was a luxury to ask all my questions. We went the beautiful Grand Hotel built by Chaing Kai-shek to receive his guests, and also to a lovely smaller temple, My favorite thing was that we went to a tea house to have traditional Taiwanese tea. The Makong Gondola was closed for maintenance this week, and there wasn't enough time to go up the mountain, but Charlotte found me a tea house in town. It was very soothing to have the tea demonstration and then sit and enjoy it. I highly recommend the experience. I also highly recommend this tour and Charlotte!
