We are leaders in creating makgeolli resources for brewers worldwide—through our offline classes, published book, and online courses. It has been our pleasure to teach students from all over the world, and in every class we: • Share practical brewing knowledge rooted in traditional methods, using fresh, real ingredients—not simplified shortcuts. • Train students to continue brewing at home, giving them the confidence and understanding to ferment independently after returning to their countries. • Encourage experimentation and creativity, helping each student develop their own style and expression of makgeolli. Our goal is simple but ambitious: to grow a global community of makgeolli brewers who understand the craft, respect its traditions, and continue brewing long after the class ends. What sets this experience apart is its unique "Cook & Dine" structure. You are invited into an authentic Seoul apartment to cook and eat like a local, experiencing the true daily life of Koreans. You will hand-craft 3 signature vegan dishes with the chef, then you will be treated to a grand feast of over 10 homemade vegan side dishes. After class, We’ll take a short walk to a hidden gem—a local supermarket where Seoulites actually shop. More than just a class, this is an immersive journey into Korea’s healthy food culture, where you’ll learn about traditional fermented foods and authentic seasonings through a heartfelt, plant-based home meal.

Korean alcohol is a lot more than just a green bottle of soju, which is diluted ethanol with artificial sweetener. Broadly, Korean alcohols are divided into Tak-ju (unfiltered rice wine), Cheong-ju (filtered clear rice wine) and So-ju (distilled spirit). Here, we will focus on our specialty, soju, but we can also taste other types too. Samhae soju was a beloved choice of spirit among the noble class of Joseon dynasty(1392~1894). This luxurious alcohol had caused cult following, but the making was so resource(rice)-heavy that production had to stop during famines. The current master, Hyeonjong Kim had learned and practiced for more than 10 years under master Taeksang Kim who had inherited and kept the recipe in the family. Sadly, master Taeksang Kim passed away in 2021. We will have a privilege to taste the history. *For private groups, please make a private group reservation or message me. Guided by our expert chefs, you’ll learn the secrets of fermentation, the art of balancing bold and subtle flavors, and how to pair Kimchi with other dishes to craft perfect, harmonious meals.

Make Bean Paste Ricake with your own design that you can't find anywhere else. Learn how to wrap the inner bean paste finely with dough, divide and draw lines using tools, and put fine decorations on the top. We can't make the outside batter(dough) together, but we provide a recipe for the customer you want. If anyone who want to learn outside skin dough, then please ask the 2 hours additional class. (This special class is provided for someone who wants have their own shop or so)

The instructor is a professional chef with an educational background and 7 years of experience in Korean cuisine. (Working michelin guide one star restaurant and Korean consulat in the USA as a Chef) Class will begin with a demonstration followed by the hands on portion. During the demonstration, you will have some tea or soda, prepared by Chef with high quality ingredients from multiple Korean farms. By the end of the class, you will learn how to cook traditional Korean food from scratch. The space is also perfect for taking photos during and after class, and you will be able to have your food in studio or take it to go. The studio is easily accessible to Gyeongbokgung Palace and the traditional market. I look forward to meeting everyone!
