Good experience! Recommend you do it as soon as you get there or first few days since they’ll give you a market tour and tell you about street foods. The market tour was authentic and fun, and the cooking class felt warm and personal. The food we made was absolutely delicious.

I booked this cooking experience as part of my spouse’s birthday trip to Korea as she thoroughly enjoys Korean cuisine. This was an absolutely phenomenal experience from walking through the Mangwon market to flipping a traditional Korean pancake. My spouse and I agreed this is by far the best cooking class we’ve attended!!

Taking this cooking class with Sarah was one of the most memorable experiences of my trip.
We started with a visit to a local market, which was such a fun and authentic way to begin the experience. Walking through the stalls, learning about Korean ingredients, and seeing how locals shop for fresh produce made the whole class feel much more meaningful. Sarah explained the different vegetables, spices, and traditional items, which gave me a deeper appreciation for Korean cooking. Back at her home, the cooking session was both fun and hands-on. She explained each step clearly and encouraged everyone to participate, which made it easy to follow. By the end of the class, I honestly felt like a chef preparing traditional Korean dishes. What made this experience truly special was the welcoming environment. Her home was cozy, and she created such a relaxed space! I would highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting Seoul.

My partner and I really enjoyed this cooking class — the market tour was an absolute eye-opener and added so much value to the experience.
Thank you for all the small but practical cooking tips shared throughout the class.
The tips were incredibly helpful and made the session both educational and fun.
This is our 4th cooking class in Korea and Japan and definitely the best one, in terms of overall marketing experience, learning environment, kitchen setup, language fluency, dining interaction, location.

My husband and I accidentally had a private class since no one else booked that day, and it was so much fun! We learned so much about different ingredients that are in season and the history of why certain ingredients were used in the market tour.
During the cooking class experience, Junghee helped us take photos and walked us through every single dish. Even teaching us Korean phrases that would be helpful during our stay. I'd highly recommend this class and hope to go back again, to learn different dishes next time.

Absolutely delightful -- fun, informative, an overall great experience! I did this with my 3 kids -- ages 16, 18, and 28 -- and they all thoroughly enjoyed it. Walking through the market with Sarah as our guide, stopping every few feet to explain things to us, was very interesting. She was a wonderful teacher and hostess, and it was fun to do this activity with other travelers from all around the world! Sarah (her "English" name) also taught us a few helpful Korean phrases along the way, including how to ask for items in the markets and restaurants. Other than the VERY cold weather the day we went, it was overall a fantastic experience! You will make a Korean savory pancake, bibimbap with all the sides, and a chicken dish. She makes a soup for everyone. One NOTE: We cook and eat in her home, which is in a 5th floor walk-up apartment with no elevator. I have some back and hip issues, but I made it up fine. If walking up several flights of steps is a real challenge for you, you might consider a different activity or cooking class, because there is no getting around 5 flights of steps here.

An excellent introduction to Korean cuisine. Junghee was an amazing instructor/ host. Met us promptly at the meeting time and took us through Mangwon Markets providing an overview of the markets various food options and local produce. A couple of tasters along the way before she invited us into her home to begin the class. Well paced lesson especially with a full 10 people. The food was fresh and the final product delicious. All the way through see entertained with anecdotes and a bit of food and cultural history as well as a Korean language primer. Junghee followed up after the class with recipes and photos that she had taken throughout the lesson.

We loved this class with our amazing teacher! She was so kind, funny, and shared her personal stories that helped share her culture with us. The dishes were absolutely delicious and not too complicated to make. We are excited to try out these recipes when we get back home. The walk through the market, learning the different names of things and how to buy it made this an awesome experience too. And the honeydew flavored popsicle in the heat made it all better. Her English is perfect. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who has a free afternoon.

Of all the things I booked for my daughter and I to do in Korea, this was by far my favorite!! It was a wonderful time spent walking through the local market and learning about traditional foods, followed by an engaging and entertaining cooking experience. Junghee is one of the most charming people I’ve ever met in my travels. She’s fun and endlessly curious about the travel journeys of all the attendees. She made the cooking super simple, taught us lots of Korean phrases, and shared lots of details about life in Seoul. Amazing tour.

This was such a fun event! We were met outside the station as expected and took a wonderful tour through the local market. As we walked, Sarah explained so much about the foods used in the Korean cooking culture. Once we arrived, she welcomed us into her home where the class was held. Her stories, experiences, and cooking skills made the experience warm, fun, and genuine. We had a great time meeting and eating with fellow travelers from all parts of the world. The food was excellent and the class introduced us to the delicious foods of Korea. My family loved this part of our vacation and I would recommend you put this at the top of your list of to-do's when visiting Seoul, South Korea.
