Jung is the best!

What a great experience to visit the DMZ and learn about the challenging issues that led up to the war and its tragic consequences for families both south and north of the border. Emily was a superb guide who explained very well the history and also related it to what he we have seen in the crash-landing on you k-drama that is masterly done. Equally it was very touching and insightful to hear the personal story experienced by people directly impacted.

Awesome Tour and Guide

We had such an amazing day on this tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Katie! She was incredibly friendly, funny, and so passionate about sharing Seoul with us. You could tell she genuinely loves what she does, and that made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. Katie shared so many interesting stories and historical facts throughout the day, but it never felt like a history lesson—it was engaging, entertaining, and easy to follow. She also gave us plenty of time to explore, take photos, and soak in each location without ever feeling rushed. Gyeongbokgung Palace was absolutely stunning, N Seoul Tower had incredible views, and Namsangol Hanok Village was such a beautiful glimpse into traditional Korean culture. Katie made each stop even more memorable by explaining the history, traditions, and little details we would have completely missed on our own. She also shared fantastic recommendations for restaurants, cafés, shopping, and other places to visit during the rest of our stay, and every recommendation was spot on. If you're visiting Seoul for the first time, I can't recommend this tour enough—and if you're lucky enough to get Katie as your guide, you're in for a real treat. She made us feel so welcome and gave us a much deeper appreciation for the city. One of the highlights of our trip!

Come hungry and ready to have an amazing experience! Suha shared her Korean culture and so much delicious food with great enthusiasm, and in a personal and engaged way that made the entire group connect and have fun together. The food was fresh, authenitic, and delicious, and we even got a very nice walking tour as we pursued our food into the neighborhood! We had a fantastic food tour with Mike and would highly recommend both him and this tour to anyone visiting Seoul! Mike took us to hidden gems we never would have discovered on our own, and every single food and drink we tried was absolutely delicious. Beyond the amazing food, he did a wonderful job teaching us about the history behind certain dishes and sharing interesting information about the neighborhoods we explored, which made the experience even more meaningful. He was also incredibly thoughtful throughout the tour—always making sure to grab water in addition to the alcoholic drinks and consistently pointing out bathroom locations, which was greatly appreciated during a long evening of eating and walking. One thing that really stood out was how authentic the experience felt. We passed several other food tours that seemed to stay exclusively in the touristy areas, and it made us even more grateful that we chose Mike’s tour instead. If you’re looking for a food tour that goes beyond the typical tourist experience and gives you a genuine taste of Seoul, don’t hesitate to book with Mike. It was one of the highlights of our trip! GJ (JeeEun) was awesome and so kind to our kiddos (6 & 4). We got lost on the subway on our way to meet her and she told us to stay put. She came to where we were and rescued us. We went to the palace and wanted the kids to get dressed up. She brought us to multiple rental shops and every single one was packed with no store staff availble to help. She took the initiative in the shop, took both kids by the hands, and found them the outfits they loved. She took my daughter and got her changed and even did her hair while all the adults were waiting in line for the store employee to do it for them. My daughter loved it. We were out of the shop in 10 minutes! The tour of the palace was crazy, but she helped us navigate away from the crowds. She suggested a lunch place nearby that we liked. Honestly, time went by so quickly. We wish we had a full day instead of a half.
