My favourite Azorean experience
Loved this experience so much! I was nervous about being able to eat as a vegan, but the restaurant we went to, Tony's, had vegetarian cozido, which I was assured was vegan.
Our guide was great and gave us a lot of good local insights, incredible views, interesting and unique things about the Azores. I won't spoil the surprise but it was very cool.
The thermal baths at Dona Beija are incredible. Definitely recommend bringing a dark bathing suit so it doesn't stain, as well as a dark towel. You can rent towels there for 4 euros and a locker for 2.

Quad ride
This is such a fun experience and a great way to see the island! Sete Cidades are beautiful. They let you go fast on the quads too! Our tour guide (I think Miguel) was so amazing! He was very knowledgeable and we stopped at amazing view points too. It did rain and get cold but we’d still do it again, just with a buggy or better rain gear as it wasn’t on the radar. Overall, so much fun!! Definitely one of our trip highlights

Great all day tour.
This was a great all day tour also. We had a great time and a great meal of food cooked in the Caldeiras. The tea plantation was okay just extremely busy and crowded! The other stops were better. Lunch was not included but we ate at Tony’s and it was well worth it. Definitely a great tour to do if you are on Sao Miguel.

Fun Experience…
We had a good time on the whale watching tour. We were lucky with good weather and ocean conditions. We saw common and bottle-nose dolphins and sperm whales. We were worried that the catamaran would feel too crowded, but there was plenty of space and everyone was able to view the animals. Pico de Adventures got us as close to the animals as they could while still respecting them. (We watched a small boat from another tour company get too close to the whales.)

Great tour
We had a wonderful experience on our excursion. Our guide was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, with a great personality. We learned so many interesting things throughout the tour and really enjoyed every moment. We also felt very safe and comfortable with his driving, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable and relaxing. Excellent service from beginning to end. We would definitely recommend this excursion and our guide to anyone visiting!

Unique way to see the island
This is an incredible experience -- you get to enjoy the coastline from the water, providing a view that you cannot get on land. We loved going into the caves -- it was stunning. The small group size made it more special. Luis was an excellent guide. He was so knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour!

The Wonderful Eastern Island Adventure!
This is an outstanding travelling tour that is a must to explore the Eastern part of Sao Miguel! We were a small group of eight travellers who bonded well through our excursion. Our guide was exceptional, Joaquin ( sorry about the spelling) expertly transported us to various regions of the island, provided solid information, was pleasant and very personable. The sights were amazing, the luncheon was delicious and very, very ample. If you would like to learn about this island, book this trip! It’s much more than a 5 Star Venture!

A fun adventure!
We had a great afternoon with Tomas and Alberto! They made the experience fun and enjoyable. We were provided with all the gear we needed. Just show up and meet the company in the parking lot. All you need is a bathing suit. You can leave your shoes/clothing in their van for the duration of the experience. This was a lot of fun and great for the kids (ours were ages 8 and 11). Highly recommend giving this tour a try. It was great!

Fantastic introduction to...
Fantastic introduction to the Azores. We scheduled this our first morning upon arrival and it provided us with a great overview of the Azores and the food, as well as recommendations for the rest of our time in Sao Miguel. Highly recommended. Lana was wonderful. Thank you.

Great way to see several views in the same excursion
My family (husband, 18 yr old son and 21 yr old daughter) all enjoyed ourselves. Instead of one 4-person UTV, we decided to get two 2-person UTVs so both my husband and I could have the opportunity to drive (and potentially the kids if they chose to, which they did not). We went on a mostly sunny day and the views were outstanding. This was our first trip to the Azores so we had no idea what was the best way to access views, and this experience allowed us to see several views we would have had to hike up to see, and gave us ideas about future excursions on our own.
While we all enjoyed ourselves, this excursion may not be for everyone. The UTVs were very loud and I had to almost yell to talk to my daughter next to me, but they do provide headphones to help cut the noise of the engine down. We all drove in a line (2 person ATVs in the front, 2 person UTVs in the middle and then 4 person ATVs), so the route is very specific and there is no opportunity to deviate. We drove on paved major roads about half the time, paved back roads about 20% of the time and dirt roads about 30% of the time. I absolutely have no confidence to drive the rental car whenever we travel to Europe, but I enjoyed myself driving the UTV because for the most part we were in a line and I just followed the person in front of me. When we got to stop signs, my daughter looked right while i looked left if we were on a blind corner. My family plays a lot of Mario Kart and it felt a bit like I was driving one in real life. I am happy we chose the 2 person UTV over the 2 person ATV because we had some shade as opposed to full sun the whole time.
Overall I recommend this excursion if you are new to the island and want to see 5 different views in a relatively short amount of time.

Great Experience
It seems like a family owned business which was really nice! The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure to check in with everyone a few times throughout just to make sure everyone was good and didn’t have questions. We had been to a few different viewpoints of Sete Cidades before doing this, but i think it’s still worth it! It’s a different experience than just driving and pulling over. Also, you get to explore different areas/top of viewpoints that would only be reachable by walking /hiking etc.

Covers sao Miguel greatest hits much better than any one day tour
Okay. If you are looking at all in one tours this is probably the better option. There are one day tours of the island but you miss a lot doing it in one day. You really need two days to do it all which this tour does....basically all the greatest hits of the east and the west. Be aware that they sometimes change the order of the sites and sometimes flip around day 1 and day 2. If you want to see absolutely everything do this tour plus the "hidden gems" tour and maybe a boat tour as well (we did). A note about the lunches: there are other lunch places around the day of the volcanic lunch cozida al furnas but not many options on the second day. The buffet lunch is okay. But the volcanic lunch was a disappointment (sadly) as the food was nice but bland no seasoning no spice little flavor. My Azorean friends say the local versions are spicy so maybe they make it bland for the tourists. Ask for spice and seasonings for yours. Apart from the food a great tour it has everything. But don't forget the botanical gardens and thermal baths cost an extra 17 euros. And they want 3 euro admission for the volcanic park where they cook the food. But the botanical garden in Ponta Delgado is just as nice and it is free so go there and skip this unless you specifically want the thermal pools part. As I said a great tour and it would be basically impossible to rent a car and do all that driving yourself on very narrow winding and steep roads. Bom Dia!

Sao Miguel, the largest island in Portugal's Azores archipelago, boasts stunning volcanic landscapes and lush scenery. Sao Miguel tours take you into the heart of the island to fully appreciate this natural setting—from exploring the crater lakes of Sete Cidades and the thermal baths of Furnas to canyoneering through waterfalls. The island’s marine life takes center stage on trips that focus on whale-watching, snorkeling, and swimming with wild dolphins, while cultural experiences help you discover local dishes.
