We had a wonderful time on our tour! There were just the 3 of us and our tour guide. We went all over the island, even stopped for a small coffee in a cute little town with hot springs!

The ATV tour was great! We saw a lot of amazing views and had a really good time! Our tour guide was attentive and took us on a great trip around the island.

We booked the half day, having previously enjoyed quad bike tours in other countries. We went on the tour with philipe and had a fantastic time. We met at the tour booth opposite the marina hotel in ponto delgada. A quick minibus ride got us to the quads, where we had to show we could handle them before going out. This was easy to do. :- i think every should at least give it a go, so much fun.
Anyway, things you need to know:
The half day takes you on main roads, side roads and dirt tracks.
We only had another couple with us and phillipe, so had a max of 3 quads as they sit 2 each.
If you want a quadbike each, don't book 1 ticket for 2, book 2 single tickets.
There is a car park near the meeting point in ponto delgada, not expensive.
This tour is amazing! The quad bikes are new, you get to see sete cidades from the main viewing points, then go around the volcano's crater and into sete cidades village for a stop, right near a gorgeous church. You ride over the 7 arch bridge, around the blue lake and then on to an incredible viewing point.
It's a fabulous way to see parts of the island you'd otherwise miss. Phillipe told us about the craters and island's history, was happy to take photos and stop at viewing points. We neve4 felt rushed and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I recommend this trip 100. The roads are safe to get about on, the scenary is gorgeous and it's a great mini adventure for your holiday. Do it!
