What are people saying about Romania

Daniel is a great tour...
Daniel is a great tour guide! He knows all there is to know about communism in Bucharest and about the architecture of the buildings he pointed out to us. There are so many landmarks in Bucharest, a walking tour is helpful to figure out which ones have more historical significance.

Fantastic experience
Andrea was an incredible guide- we were together for almost 6 hours and it flew by. She was so deeply informed and a great storyteller as we learned and ate together. I was stuffed by the end, and really enjoyed all our stops. It was worth it to get oriented to Bucharest.

Bran Castle and Travsylvania
This was a full day experience. We visited the gardens of Peles castle as the inside of the castle is closed on Mon and Tues. We visited Brasov's old town square, the Black Church and Mustata Craft brewery. Then, we went to Bran castle. The castle was interesting and entertaining, but crowded. The bus ride was beautiful through the Carpathian mountains and the countryside. The bus was comfortable and air conditioned. Alex, our guide was friendly and very informative. His understanding of English and colloquialisms, idioms and jokes kept us engaged. Thanks for a fun day.

A very worthwhile day trip
An excellent way to spend a day sightseeing! Our guide, Narcis, had a great command of English and provided an excellent commentary and a most enjoyable day. There were 7 of us allowing everyone to get acquainted. After crossing the Danube we spent time in Ruse, before traveling south to Veliko Tarnovo, the early Capital of Bulgaria, to visit the castle and extraordinary church, then driving up to a traditional restaurant to try the local food and sample Rakia, a local type of slivovitz. I recommend eating after the castle visit not before as the peasant food is filling, and the climb to the castle quite steep and there is a lot of walking involved! Then back into town to walk around the picturesque village and shop in the artisan stores (some are tacky but most offer quality, locally handmade goods), before going north to the border and into Romania again. An odd highlight was seeing storks on their huge nests atop telegraph poles along the road. Highly recommended!

Peles and Bran castles and Braşov tour - full day of excellent sites/guide
Wonderful tour with our guide Andrei to see Castle Bran, Peles Castle and Braşov. Highly recommend Andrei he was on time very professional and knowledgeable about each place we visited. It’s a long day but we really enjoyed all of it. Leaving Bucharest at 7 am got us to Peles before the crowds and it helped to enjoy the castle and grounds. It’s stunning to see how beautiful the interior rooms are each carefully curated and furnished with the finest art and fixtures. Highly recommend this tour!

A very good day's activity
A great way to get out of the city and see the country. We had comfortable coach, very good driver Daniel, and our guide Stefan giving commentary along the way. Plenty of time at each stop off point and he'd chat with any of us asking questions. Whole day was excellent. I really would recommend this to anyone. Well worth the cost.

A Unique Salt Mine Escape from Bucharest
The Salt Mine day trip from Bucharest was a really unique experience and definitely worth doing. The tour was well organized, informative, and comfortable throughout the day. The salt mine itself is impressive- huge underground spaces, cool atmosphere, and something very different from the usual tourist attractions. There was enough free time to walk around, take photos, and enjoy the experience at your own pace. The views and surrounding areas were also beautiful during the drive. A great escape from the city and a memorable day trip from Bucharest.

The best 2 hours of my weekend in Bucharest
What a great experience! We were collected from our hotel by Alin in a shiny electric tuk tuk, given 2 bottles of water and a snack and taken on a fantastic 2 hour tour that included all the key sights of Bucharest. Alin (who is the owner of this company) provided a lovely, humorous running commentary whilst driving. The great thing about this tour is that when you get to a landmark Alin just bumps the tuk tuk up the kerb, you hop off, he gives you a quick history and then takes your photo. Then it's back in the tuk tuk and you're off to the next sight. Do this on your first day and you will then know all the places you want to go back to and explore further on the rest of your trip. Honestly, I can't give this a higher recommendation, just book it, you won't be disappointed!

A good option if you are...
A good option if you are short on time and based in Bucharest.
We did Peles Castle, then lunch in Brasov, then Bran Castle. We got 1.5-2 hours at each stop. There are lots of tour groups so both castles were very busy. Note: entry into the castles is extra, and the driver and the guide hope for tips at the end (so bring cash).
The day is long because of the distances and traffic (we left at 7am and returned to Bucharest at almost 8.30pm). Bus was clean and quite comfortable (but you can't eat on it). Tour guide was quite knowledgeable.
If you want to explore Brasov, bring your own lunch because restaurants take their time serving you and prepping food.
If we had more time, we would have liked to stay a night in Brasov or Sinaia and done each castle on different days.

A Brilliant experience with Claudiu
We had excellent communication before the trip, including confirming the correct time to book tickets to Peles Castle, text updates for pickup, and an introduction to our driver, Claudiu. He met us directly at our hotel and we began the journey towards Peles Castle, stopping halfway for a coffee break.
Peles Castle was absolutely beautiful and well worth the entrance fee. After the visit, we met back up with Claudiu and continued on to Bran Castle. While Bran Castle looks stunning from the outside, we found the interior a little underwhelming in comparison.
Our final stop was Brasov, which is a truly beautiful place. We were recommended a fantastic restaurant called La Ceaun, the food and service were both excellent and we spent around 90 minutes there before heading back.
There is quite a lot of driving on this tour, but Claudiu regularly offered to stop whenever needed and made the journey enjoyable with his knowledge, humour, and friendly personality. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.

Mario karts in Bucharest
This exeprience is one not to miss seeing the town in a mini hot rod. Looking at the beautiful city and the amazing buildings while feeling like you are in your own little game. The tour guide was amazing and took some amzing photos and videos of our experince. The group was small so felt better the guide kept us all together and safe. I would do this again it was so much fun.

Wonderful experience in Romania with George
Our driver and tour guide, George, was wonderful. We are two ladies traveling. George picked us up on time at our hotel. We had a schedule of sites, but George was very accommodating by squeezing in other places we were also interested in seeing, like the bear sanctuary. George was most professional the entire two days. We wish we had more time to explore beautiful Romania. I highly recommend this service.
