Top Roatan Private Sightseeing Tours

We, a party of 4, arrived in Roatan on Princess Cruise. We were a half an hour early for our excursion, but our tour guide / driver Fabian was already waiting for us at the port exit. To backtrack a little, to get to the exit, you have to walk pass the taxi stand and up an inclined road. We were approached by a group of taxi drivers offering to drive us up the road for $8 ($2 a person), which we declined. The walk is literally 5 minutes from the taxi stand. Unless you are using a wheelchair, disabled or have mobility issues, the ride is not worth it IMO. Anyway, Fabian drove us in a large 4-door pickup to our first stop to see the animals, along the way, he pointed out interesting sights and briefly talked about the history and culture of Roatan. See the Roatan monkeys, sloth and macaw was interesting, fun, and a unique experience. To be honest, there was not much to see besides these 3 animals, but touching the animals made it worthwhile. Next stop was the chocolate factory, which was okay. You get to taste a few bits or flakes of chocolate and see workers pouring melted chocolate into molds. After this, we went to Rum store. Again, it just a shopping stopover where we purchased a rum cake. On our way back to the port, Fabian dropped us off for a photo opportunity at the popular Roatan sign. During the hold trip, Fabian was very nice and polite. I highly recommend requesting him for your driver if you book this tour. He basically made the tour worthwhile for us. Overall, I would recommend this excursion if you're looking a short tour that is not too tiring.

We had such an amazing time on the tour with Alfredo! It was customizable as he offered to cater to what we wanted to see, there was no rushing always giving us extra time to explore and of course take photos! We even got our own van. Alfredo went above and beyond with his local knowledge of the island and within the experience. I would 10/10 recommend this tour!

Travel guide Diana Johnson is very kind person, all the way she was driving carefully, she explained the history, environment, living expenses, and sightseeing information of the city. Under our required, she drived us to a local Supermarket and we can brought local coffee and chocolate powder. She did a very good job, and we have had a wonderful day with her. Excellent experience we had.
