What are people saying about Roatan

Totally worth the price, book asap
Our family of 6 had a great time on the excursion. We had Angel as a guide and he exceeded every expectation and more. Finding him was a disaster, does not reflect the excursion but getting out of the port was anxiety inducing. Once we found each other, we stopped at the animal encounter and that was busy but they got us in within 30 minutes, but Angel went and found us some fresh mango to nibble on while we waited. After the encounter we went to the beach break, that was amazing. Good food good drinks. The snorkel was so much fun the guides made sure to find as many species to look at as they could and had plenty of equipment for everyone on board. After the beach break, Angel took us to a local market to do some shopping and then took us to get the local food and it was better than we expected. If you’re still reading this and remember anything from the review, see if you can request Angel as your guide and you’ll have an amazing time.

definitely worth it
We did the tour again because 10 years ago it left us such a good impression, and this time too. The zipline was our favorite, 9 stations, one is 1090 feet long, good scenery. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. The beach has crystal clear water and white sand, many security guards so we feel safe. They sell fresh pineapple and coconut on the boat, the pineapple beverage was so delicious. We had lots of fun at the nearby swimming pool too.

Animal experience and tour of Roatan
While it was advertised as a small group on the tour, ours ended up being a private tour of just the three of us.
The sloth, monkey, and parrot experience was awesome! (Note that Honduras recently passed a law preventing tourists from interacting with the sloths, but you could still get really close to them.)

Beautiful Roatan!!!!
Roatan, was very beautiful what I loved about this excursion is we had our own driver so it was a way more personalized experience we did everything in the order that made sense for us for our day I was able to stop and get real authentic Honduras food from the street side opposed to a typical restaurant something that I always like to do is really experience the country natural being as if I live there opposed to tourism. Our driver Kenisa was very sweet answered all our tourist questions made us feel safe and got us back on time to our ship. I would highly recommend booking through this company to do the things included but also to personalize one or two things if you have the time! Beach was amazing on the west side!

Cool wildlife and beautiful beach!
Our guide, Tirsa, was awesome! It was just a girlfriend and myself so we were so happy to see that we had a female guide. She took us from spot to spot and gave us the history of the island which we appreciated. She was so helpful and snapped photos of us. Gave us plenty of recommendations for when we come back. Even suggested foods, restaurants and activities to try— which we did! I 100% believe she made the excursion 10xs better and would definitely do this excursion again. Thanks Tirsa!
The animal sanctuary was so much fun! Not enough time in my opinion but we got some really cool photos and fun interactions. FYI: u can no longer hold the sloths but still worth it! The beach afterwards was incredible. Left us wanting to come back to Honduras and we’re already planning our next trip there!

10/10 Experience — Highly Recommend
Highly recommend this tour! We were a family of 8 and had an amazing experience from start to finish. Dale was our tour guide, and he was absolutely incredible. He picked us up right at the terminal exit and drove us to all the different stops included in the tour.
At the ATV site, he introduced us to three other amazing guides who led the ATV portion of the tour. Dale stayed on-site the entire time, so we always felt comfortable and well taken care of.
We had such a great time — definitely the highlight of our trip so far! Also, don’t forget to bring cash so you can tip the team for the amazing experience they provide. Highly recommend!

Personal tour of the islanf
Make sure you ask the company name before trying to meet up in the mob of vendors. Also ask meeting times so you’ll have a complete plan. Cynthia was AMAZING and she took us all over the island helping us with group pictures and telling facts from the route. We added a stop at the sanctuary and had an amazing time. ($20 extra per person…bring cash and plan ahead!) it was totally worth it. Also added an extra rum tasting near the chocolate factory and it was SO MUCH better than the Roatan Rum factory stop. We had a group of 8. We had our own private tour. It was 10 out of 10 for us. ❤️

Private tour with Jerry
We were a group of 4 & arrived at the meeting point about 30 minutes early and found our guide Jerry was already there waiting for us. We had a basic itinerary planned out and after a few minor tweaks (based on Jerry’s advise) headed off. Jerry was awesome! Very knowledgeable and answered any/all questions we had as we drove around the island to the spots we wanted to see. We did a complete loop of the island. Went snorkelling and did rum/rum cake tasting on the west side, shopping & chocolate tasting on north side and hilight of the day was definitely visiting the sloths & interacting with the monkeys at AJ’s Sanctuary on the south side. Our day started around 8:30 and got back to the ship around 2:30.
Terrific day with our awesome guide Jerry!

True Island Experience!
Kerit is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and GOD SENT! He is courteous and accommodating. He knows his way around the island and allowed me and my mom to customize our experience by exploring various areas on the island. We tasted chocolate, went to a souvenir shop, rum factory, the beach, and ate some awesome seafood and oxtails. I plan to come back on my next visit and book with him! Ask for Kerit for a fun, customizable, and knowledgeable experience.

4 Wheeler Sloth Bird Monkey Tour
This was great. 4 wheelers are what we always expect on these. You follow like a train so never get to really go. However seeing the villages and local people was nice. New laws don’t let you hold or touch the sloths. So site should reflect that. The birds and monkeys were fun and hilarious to interact with

A+ Day! A must-do excursion!
We were super excited to zip line again! We had done in once before in Roatan and definitely wanted to do it again! Fantastic! After that we were brought to ride the ATVs. That was very fun! Soak and wet, filthy dirty, and laughing the whole time! You follow the guide around a man made course, huge puddles, lots of mud, and a great photographer at every corner. The whole package of a LOT of pictures was only$30. They take a before and after picture of you. Clean and dirty. It was really a blast! Then, just when we thought our day was over, we were surprised by the zoo! You can have your picture taken with a sloth, have a capuchin monkey climb onto your shoulder, hold a macaw on your arm, cross a sweet suspension bridge and more! So worth the cost to have such an amazing experience!

Zip Line and Beach Experience
After we walked out the port to meet them outside of Gate 1, they had red shirts on that said Anderson tours. One of them walked us to the zip line area which was not that far. We felt safe the entire time zip lining. The workers were all trained and made sure to care for everyone in our group. Afterwards, we had a tour of the animals in the same place. We saw monkeys, guinea pigs, a sloth, a macaw, and a few other animals. Then they set us up with a driver and vehicle that took our group to see the chocolate factory, we stopped at a shop and then he took us to the beach. We had a fun experience even though we zipped lined in the rain. We could’ve just walked off the ship to the zip line for $50, but the $15 extra to go to the beach was worth it. It was a nice calm beach to go to.
