Our Best Excursion in Panama

This was our best excursion during our week-long stay in Panama. It started with an early hotel pick up because we had a 2.5 hour drive to get to the carribean side. We were the only Travellers that day, so we got VIP private service. We were taking to a engine powered canoe at the dock to meet the catamaran. Once there, my husband i discovered that we were the only passengers enjoying the excursion today. Wow! Capt Juan and his other crew member (who happened to be his mom who was also on vacation) gave us the full experience as advertised. We set said to some of the remote island areas along the carribean coast of Colon. We disembarked the catamaran on a small dingy to tour the mangroves and walk and swim in the shallow ocean area. Once back at the catamaran we sailed to another area, anchored and my husband i were provided kayaks and paddle boards. We swam, and walked the shore. Thank you Juan's mom for the excellent lunch. On the 45 minute sail back to meet our driver, Capt Juan played awesome Bosa Nova music. We sat on the front of the boat and let the ocean breeze relax us. This trip was one for our vacation memory books. Thank you Viator.

Jazz (sp?) our tour guide was incredible. Knowledgeable, welcoming to the whole group, even switched between English and Spanish throughout the tour to include everyone. Knew some of the monkeys by name, saw sloths, 3 species of monkeys, toucans, a snake... had some local snacks. Overall just a great experience, worth every dollar.

Great Guide. Great trip. Really enjoyed the canoe trip and hiking to waterfall. It was doable but you have to be in shape. The Embera people are cool. Great food and wonderful presentation, music and dancing. This is a must do trip if you want to get a broader understanding of Panama.

Mr. Fernando was the best!

This experience was amazing! Fernando gave us all of the history that we asked for and timed the canal perfectly. He swapped out a stop for us to see more of what we really wanted and we were very grateful. His car was nice and air conditioned and he made sure to get us some waters for our journey. This was such a memorable time and he was an outstanding photographer. I was so happy to have photos of my husband and myself. We only had one day to spend in Panama City after being in Bocas and it was easily our favorite day of our entire trip. Book this one! We had great communication from the time of booking on.

Good overview of the canal and Casco with Dimos. After the canal visit and IMAX, most of the time was spent in the van (with A/C) driving over the Bridge of the Americas, Amador Causeway, and then around Casco Viejo with a few stops for souvenirs and snacks. Especially if staying in Casco, it’s a good way to start a visit to learn the canal history and function and then get a feel for the area.

We had a great experience with our tour guide Jennifer. When we walked out of the airport, Jennifer was there already waiting for she. The minivan was comfortable for the six of us and all our luggage. Jennifer was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She’s very flexible to accommodate our needs. A fabulous way to spend a day

This trip was amazing. Yes, we were on the boat for 12 hours with about 200 of our newest best friends. But everything worked well for the entire day. Check-in was organized and orderly. We read before the trip that one review compared the meals to airplane food, but if that's true we'd like to know what airline the reviewer was talking about; while the meals aren't 5-star, they were certainly fresh and enjoyable. The entire crew was helpful and friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to serve us. Special kudos goes to the guide who spent hours telling us about the canal and answering questions throughout the entire trip. The guide and the rest of the crew also managed to keep everything in order without being heavy-handed; passengers were told the do's and don't's of travel on the boat and it worked as everyone seemed to comply. even the return trip on buses was well organized and timely. And finally, about the canal, if you've ever thought about going, you should.

Exploring Panama

This was an incredible experience. Our guide, Oscar, was so friendly and personable. He answered our questions throughout the trip and even went out of his way to pull over to make sure that we got all of the pictures we wanted. He was such a sweetheart.
