This was a wonderful walk tour with bus and train transport. One day in Nara is not enough. The shrines, temples, park and deer were amazing. Our guide Maha was the best. She met us at our hotel in Kyoto and guided us by subway to the train station and on to Nara. Her knowledge, and warm spirit was highly appreciated. An excellent tour to consider.

It is an intense long tour with about 5 to 6 miles of walking with steps and inclines Great sights to visit especially if you have only a limted time in Kyoto However we were dissapointed with the guide ..she did not interact with the guests....she was aloof and distant. The audio on the bus was not comprehensible. We were left to find things for ourselves

Wonderful experience!
The tourist guide is wonderful. Very knowledgeable and really proud of his job. I have learned a lot from him about Japan and history. Thank you so much for the stellar job. The driver was wonderful too. The ride was very smooth and I felt safe.

The Sika Deer freely roaming around in the Nara Park (Nara Koen), Osaka.
  • Nara Park is free to enter, though many of the attractions charge for admission.

  • If you want to feed the deer, you must purchase special crackers, which are available from vendors throughout the park. You may not feed the deer anything else, and you can not leave any trash in the park.

  • The deer are usually very tame, but they can sometimes become aggressive if food is around.
