What are people saying about Normandy

The Past- WWll
I learned more on this trip that I learned in school. The guide Moana was superb. Extensive background information for each of the places visited was shared by the guide. Pictures maps and charts as a part of the background information were well placed throughout the tour. Once at a location, there was sufficient time for exploration of the site/location. Stories as to why things were the way they were made the trip more meaningful.

To walk in the actual footsteps of greatness
Julien is an exceptional guide and an accomplished student of art history. He taught us about Monet the man by telling us the story of his life and guiding us to stand in the places where he lived, was inspired, created his works, and died. It was a peak behind the curtain that allowed us to walk in the actual footsteps of the man. Being guided to stand in and see a glimpse of Monet's world, I now see his work with a far deeper appreciation for the genius of his impressionistic expression of his vision on canvas. Thank you, Julien.

Great day and experience.
Couldn’t be any happier with our experience. Our tour guide, Victor was wonderful! Victor had a great personality and was so informative about the d-day invasion and the history of the area. We thought we knew a lot of the history, but he shed light on so many things that we weren’t aware of. We had 5 in our tour and it was so personal. Even though we didn’t know each other at the start we all connected and Victor made that possible.

Our motorbike and sidecar...
Our motorbike and sidecar tour was really great - our guide Tierry was brilliant and told us loads of information about the area and anything we needed to ask about the battlefields and cemeteries that we visited along the way. It was a great way to sample the Normandy coast and all the little villages that we passed through whilst enjoying the freedom of the motorbike and sidecar.
Tierry was an excellent rider and a great guide - we loved it!

Respect for heroes
Our guide Thierry was very kind and had great knowledge of events in WWII. We were very comfortable in the modern clean vehicle used with Air Conditioning on a very hot day. We were offered cold drinks as well. The taps ceremony (lowering of the American flag) at 4 pm was very poignant and we were grateful for the respect given our military heroes.

A wonderful experience
A wonderful activity from start to finish! Super easy pickup from the train station in a small group format. The stops were well planned and thoughtful in their story telling. Irene our guide was fantastic! She is extremely knowledgeable and delivered the stories in an impactful and entertaining manner.
Be prepared for various weather fronts!

I joined the Normandy...
I joined the Normandy Beach tour on what was probably the busiest day of the year, but Lucie was an outstanding guide. She skillfully adjusted the schedule throughout the day to avoid crowds at each site and traffic on the roads, making sure we were able to see all the important locations.
I was late starting my museum visit, but Lucie guided me as efficiently as possible so that I could still see almost everything. Her flexibility, quick judgment, and professionalism made the experience smooth and enjoyable despite the heavy crowds.
I would absolutely recommend Lucie as a guide.

Enjoying Hanfleur, even in the rain!
If you’ve already gone or simply have no interest in going to Normandy, this is the trip for you! Although Deauville was lovely and worth the trip/stop, it was Honfleur that stole the show. It was both charming and beautiful not to mention a history/culture worth hearing. Indulging in a glass of rose’, a plate of delectable cheeses and fresh roles was a perfect afternoon snack at a sidewalk cafe. And we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Laurence was fantastic! He was extremely informative and had a great sense of humor. If the rain had held off just a bit longer, it would have been an absolutely perfect day!

Omaha Beach Tour
Faustin was an excellent guide and driver. He was patient with the couple that got lost on the way to the pickup point and his attitude was the reason the other passengers were also accepting of the situation. He was full of knowledge about the area and historical references. I would love to do another tour with him in the future.

Great service and so friendly
Definitely worthwhile. First off - the service. We had challenges with trains and luggage getting to Bayeaux and they saved the day last minute by taking our luggage in the tour van. Then after they made a special trip to drop off us with luggage at our hotel which was amazing. It really saved our day.
In terms of the tour I really appreciated seeing and hearing about some of the less considered parts of d day like the logistics. We all know the famous beach stories - and it’s amazing to see Omaha - but I feel like I got a lot more appreciation of the whole operation. Plus our guide really focused on the human factor - the loss of life and huge impacts - on both the soldiers and the French.
I definitely recommend this tour to anyone. I will advise that coming to Bayeaux in the morning without any place to leave your luggage will make the day harder. There are luggage storage places but they take lunch beaks from 12-2. So make sure you have a plan for luggage or come the day before so you can have a stress free day.

Excellent!
The tour and the tour guide were excellent, the kids really enjoyed it especially the quicksand. Would highly recommend.
Tips: Bring a spare change of shorts or wear swimming trunks in case you get wet while trying out the quick sand. Bring a small snack/drink/beer for when you stop on the little island; tombiline. Follow the other advice in terms of clothing and equipment as detailed on the website. Enjoy!

Excellent Tour
In short, our tour through Normandy was excellent. We're a family of three, and as this was our first time in Normandy, we wanted to see as much as possible. We figured a private tour would allow us to accomplish this goal. We truly lucked out with our tour guide, Emmanuel, who was able to accommodate our agenda. At each stop, he was able to provide additional background and details while giving us the time and space to explore on our own. In addition, he was kind, funny, and a great driver!
To highlight how Emmanuel made the trip extra special, my dad had mentioned in passing that he had served in the US Coast Guard. During our stop at the Normandy American Cemetery, Emmanuel made sure to point out the lone Coast Guard member listed in the Garden of the Missing.
We definitely recommend this trip (and Emmanuel) for others!

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Normandy is home to iconic medieval monuments, World War II battle sites, and picturesque beach resorts, but with limited time, it’s best to focus on the highlights. Normandy half-day tours are an ideal choice for time-crunched travelers, but they are also a great way to get to know a city better or enjoy a memorable activity. Inject fun into your trip by opting for a unique transport method, such as a sidecar, WWII-era Jeep, or an e-bike. Combine a sightseeing tour with a cider tasting at a local winery, or join friends for an exciting scavenger hunt.
