Overview
Take this scenic drive through Tukituki Valley which will take you to the peak of Te Mata by stylin Supertrike. This is a small group tour, so you’ll keep costs down by sharing your ride. But since there are only 4 to a group, you’ll still have an intimate experience. You’ll ride through Napier, along the coast, and end up with some gorgeous views and a drink at the peak.

What a thrill!! We had soooo much fun riding with Phil on his Supertrike!! You get to feel the wind on your face and enjoy the surrounding scenery. It was really fun to watch people stop and watch us go by them. It is worth the money and then some. Highly recommend this ride.

The Scenic Te Mata Peak Supertrike tour was honestly one of my favorite parts of our two-week trip. Riding in the open-air trike made the whole experience feel adventurous and unique. The drive itself is incredible, taking you through beautiful countryside and up toward Te Mata Peak, with amazing scenery the whole way.
The ride up to the top was an absolute blast, and the views from the peak were stunning. You get incredible panoramic views over Hawke’s Bay and the surrounding landscape, which made the whole experience really special.
Our guide was fantastic too — the perfect balance of being chatty and sharing interesting information while also giving us time to just relax and enjoy the ride and scenery. It never felt rushed and the vibe was really fun and easygoing.
A couple quick tips: bring a scarf or face covering you can pull up over your mouth because the wind can get strong during the ride, and definitely wear sunglasses to protect your eyes.
Overall, it was such a fun and memorable experience and easily one of the highlights of our trip. If you’re visiting Napier and want something a little different with incredible views, I highly recommend this tour!

We had an absolute blast on the Supertrike in Napier! The ride was very comfortable and exhilarating. The view was spectacular and what a unique way to get to the summit of Te Mata Peak. Certainly unlike anything we've ever done before. Hold on to your hat! We highly recommend this tour.

This excursion was fantastic! The ride was a lot of fun, and even better with only 4 passengers. Phil was very personable and gave us a little history of the area. Highly recommend a jacket with a hood and sunglasses. One of our favorite excursions on a 14 day cruise. Highly recommend and it was a great value.

Wow what a way to see Napier! Phil was great, communication was faultless. Time was changed to better suit and we shared the ride with another couple off our cruise which worked out perfectly. Phil explained where we will go and what to expect etc. Phil waited patiently while we all looked around and stretched our legs at the lookout. Highly recommend.

Actually we really enjoyed the trip . Would have liked helmets with microphone in it to get more commentary on the ride. The guide did give lots of info before the ride and at the peak.

Whilst helmets are great for commentary you do lose that 'wind in your hair thrill' that the Supertrike gives you and on a hot day, a Helmet really is like wearing a fishbowl. I do totally appreciated your comments though. Ana @ Supertrike

Exciting adventure! Lots of fun on the super trike as we traveled through gorgeous vineyard areas to the summit of Te Mata Peak. The views from the peak were absolutely stunning! Phil was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Definitely highly recommend this adventure… You won’t regret it!

This was an awesome way to take in the topography of Napier. From sea level pick up to the 1400’ Te Mata Peak views - just wonderful! Phil was a great driver, handling the comfortable vehicle with finesse at curves and bumps - and had impressive power at 100 kph on the straightaways! Highly recommend to bring ‘wraparound’ sunglasses and dress in layers - a windbreaker was invaluable and a mouth kerchief is optimal for comfort. What a ride!

Phil is very friendly, answered all my many questions quickly, and is a very good driver. This has been one of the best excursions we’ve been on. The description of what to expect was spot on.
