At first the excursion started a half hour late & it was very cold waiting in the open parking area. Though Sukh was very pleasant and knowledgeable on this tour. She nicely took us to an extra winery to make up for the delay starting.

Disappointed

we were told we would be picked up at 9 o’clock at the visitor center. We got there early and we’re actually moved away from the visitor center and told we weren’t supposed to wait there as the tour company was not allowed to pick up there. We waited approximately 45 minutes after pick up time in the cold weather with no explanation as to why they were late. We started the tour with a winery that was not on the list and that was going to be the only winery we saw, but they did arrange a second winery to visit at the last minute ( offered a brewery instead?) per our group request. Second winery was enjoyable. Van was cramped and tour guide very difficult to understand nor hear very well in back of van.

Hi Carol, Honestly, we are extremely disappointed by your comments. Your tour clearly stated a 9am start time, yet you arrived earlier and somehow decided that was our fault. We were there at the confirmed time and operated exactly as scheduled. We took you to Mission Estate Winery, the oldest winery in Napier, well known for its history and premium wines — a highlight for most of our guests. Despite this, you were still not satisfied. Your booking included one winery visit, yet we added an additional winery at no extra charge to enhance your experience. That was complimentary from our company. Instead of acknowledging that, you chose to complain. We conducted the tour in a Toyota 10-seater van specifically so we could access elevated scenic spots that large 49-seater ship buses simply cannot reach. This is a clear advantage, not a disadvantage. At some point, expectations need to be realistic. We delivered exactly what was promised — and more. If someone prefers a large ship-organised bus tour with limited access and a standard route, that option is always available. Team Hawke's Bay scenic tours
