Incredible day out of Ulaanbaatar

Visited the Genghis Khan Complex seeing and going up the largest equestrian statue in the world. Views surrounding the complex were amazing. Was able to hold an eagle, ride a camel and attemt some of the archery (challenging!). We then went to have lunch in a traditional Ger and had traditional Mongolian food which I found to be delicious. This was followed by the visit to the National Park where climbed the Turtle Rock, and climbed up the monastery, again with amazing views of the surrounding. Was able to horse ride and visit a nomads Ger on this tour as well. The host was an amazing guide who had a lot of knowledge about Mongolia. Highly recommend this tour, it felt more like a private tour which made it even more value for money for me.

This company is very professional. Before our arrival to Mongolia, they WhatsApped me informing me Bayaraa will be our driver and will be waiting. Sure enough, Bayaraa was waiting with a sign with my name right in the arrival hall. Bayaraa spoke good English, and he was very courteous and professional. The BEST experienced in all of Mongolia!!!! This is no mere cooking class. It is an indoctrination to traditional Mongolian living. Sadly, this way of life is dying. If you want to understand millennia aged traditions including OUTSTANDING cuisine, (They will accommodate vegetarians but vegetarians - seriously, this is Mongolia!) music, philosophy, games, and incredible conversation; this couple see themselves as Mongolian ambassadors. They do not disappoint!!! Book early!!!

Recommended even in winter!

A very satisfying day tour! I went in mid-december, it was very cold and I was almost the only tourist around, but MJ was a reliable and knowledgeable guide, took a lot of pictures/videos of me and chose a good restaurant in a ger for lunch. He was always ready to answer my questions but also let me take my time and explore a bit on my own (especially in the wonderful Aryabal Temple, truly beautiful in the snow). Would definitely recommend!

This was a great trip. Navigating traffic in Ulaan Baatar is always a struggle but my guide was patient, efficient, and safe. His English was excellent and we had great conversations about life in Mongolia and my home in Canada. The Chinggis Khaan statue is enormous. I think we were the only ones there that day probably because it was -25C that morning. We had a light lunch in a nomad’s ger where we were served Mongolian fried rice and hot milk. Just the perfect lunch on a cold day. We went to the Meditation Temple but didn’t make the short climb because of the cold and wind. It was a truly enjoyable trip.

I had a truly wonderful experience exploring Ulaanbaatar and its surroundings with Byamba. Byamba took me to see the magnificent Chinggis Khan Statue Complex, the beautiful Terelj National Park, Zaisan Hill Monument. He even took me to tradional dance Mongolian which was amazing and is recommend and several local highlights around the city. He shared fascinating insights about Mongolian history, culture, and daily life, which really brought each place to life. The ideal tour for us

This tour was precisely what we wanted. We paid more for a private car and a ger with private bathroom, but it was well worth it! Everything was well organized, and we thoroughly enjoyed our excursion into the beautiful landscapes outside Ulaanbaatar. Our guide, Iggy, speaks outstanding English and is very knowledgeable, which is an enormous bonus - I say this as someone who has suffered through so many tourist excursions, smiling courteously whilst either trying desperately to make head or tail of the guide's explanations,or having simply turned off out of self-preservation. With Iggy, it was all straightforward and great fun! (He even drives safely). Thanks a million - it was a wonderful Mongolian experience.

This half day tour was perfect for our group of 4. We all had different arrivals in UB and we were able to rendezvous as a final group with this tour. Our guide Enjii was lovely in accommodating our different pick up points and really kept us on track to visit all the sites as advertised. Driver efficiently transported us to Chinggis Khan equestrian statute, Turtle Rock and to the beautiful Aryapala Meditation Temple. Outstanding full day tour of Ulaanbaatar

We had an outstanding full day tour of the highlights of Ulaanbaatar with our driver / guide Byambaa on our first day in Mongolia. He timely picked us up at our hotel and took us to all of the main attractions in the city as well as a few additional sites that we wanted to see. He was great at explaining the history and culture and answering our questions. He was happy to spend as much time as we wanted at any location and to customize the itinerary to our wishes. Highly recommended transportation to UB from airport

Our driver was waiting for us when we exited baggage claim even though our flight was late. He was courteous and got us to UB in about an hour which was great considering the traffic into the city after we left the highway. We felt safe and that we were in good hands. Highly recommend.

Great Guide, Skittish Horses

A good day out in the sun! Our guide Enhrgl was great: easy-going, informative and enthusiastic. He took some great photos of the horse ride. A couple of horses were skittish; we were led by ropes past traffic/cows for most of our ride. While we were eventually allowed to ride on our own when surroundings were calmer, I'm not sure if more experienced riders would enjoy being tied by ropes to the horse at the front. The ride was mainly past ger encampments, sadly not the most picturesque of landscapes at times. The hillside meditation centre was lovely but the statue complex unfortunately had the air of a tourist trap. Lunch at Big Sky Lodge was excellent with a home-cooked feel.

Totally worth it

It was a beautiful and easy way to get a more proper insight into Mongolia. Both my guide Tsoki and the driver Zoloo were extremely kind and making all possible effort so that I could feel comfortable and see the places of my interest. The monastery at Erdenne Zuu is extraordinary and itself already worth the journey. The yurt campsite was also very interesting and there was a live music performance at night.
