Excellent experience
It’s a fulfilling excellent experience guided by Mary and driver Nascar (I may misspell his name). The tour in 5 days covers beautiful natural and cultural features of central Mongolia. Totally recommend.

Phenomenal Experience Exploring Central Mongolia
We recently went on the 5 Day Terelj National Park and Central Mongolia Tour. Our guide, Chimba and the driver were both excellent. Chimba (I hope that is spelled correctly) spoke great English and was very informative. The driver was phenomenal, you have to be a great driver to first drive in Ulaanbaatar but then to take all the off road trails. Every day on the tour was unique and the experiences were incredible. It was nice to stay at a mix of travel yurts and nomadic families. Just be warned, the toilet situation can be very limited as is electricity. The locations we visited from the Terelj National Park and Orkhon Valley to Kharkhorin and the waterfalls were all spectacular. We ended up eating a lot while on the tour, I enjoyed everything I tried. Overall, this tour was phenomenal and I have nothing but great stories and memories to share. Thanks again to our guide and driver for showing us around Central Mongolia.

Joy in Mongolia
Jagaa, the boss of the tour company, contacted us way before the tour started. He asked us what we were expecting and told us what to be aware.
The guide (Biphyun) was the sweetest guide i have ever met. He paid 200% attention to our need and took really good care of my parents who were over 70. The driver was funny and professional at the same time.
Regarding the content of the tour, it provided the best we could have experienced in Mongolia. We have seen the most scenic snowy side of Mongolia. We got a chance to get a taste of staying with a nomadic family, seeing how they take care of the herd, spending nights at ger.
Definitely a good one.

People Also Ask
What is Hustai National Park famous for?
Hustai National Park is most famous for its population of wild horses, known as takhi or Przewalski’s horse, which roams free in herds. But the 220-square-mile (570-square-kilometer) park offers a wide range of wildlife across diverse landscapes, including forest, steppe, mountains, and rivers, plus fascinating cultural traditions, too.
What's the best way to see Hustai National Park?
You’ll need a 4WD to explore Hustai National Park so, unless you’re an experienced off-road navigator, your best options are to charter a driver or join a tour. Besides wildlife spotting, many tour packages include a night’s stay in a ger camp and/or cultural encounters with nomadic locals.
What is the best day to visit Hustai National Park?
Unlike US national parks, it generally doesn’t matter which day you visit a Mongolian national park. Mongolia is huge and generally empty. Even on weekends, Hustai National Park feels far from crowded. However, for a more isolated experience at the ger camps, plan your visit for midweek.
Is Hustai National Park worth it?
It depends. Hustai National Park is convenient as it’s just 60 miles (100 kilometers) southwest of Ulaanbaatar, making it a practical day trip. Many tours also stop by while headed south to the Gobi. If you’re traveling north or east from Ulaanbaatar, Hustai National Park may not merit the detour.
How much time should you spend in Hustai National Park?
For the full wilderness experience, you should spend a night in the park, staying in a ger camp or with a nomadic family. A day and a night leaves time to drive both of the main park trails, see the wild horses, and perhaps ride a horse or a camel.
Are there horses at Hustai National Park?
Yes. There are herds of short, stocky Mongolian wild horses, known as takhi or Przewalski’s horse, in Hustai National Park. They were reintroduced in the 1990s after going extinct in the wild. The captive-bred original horses have produced a sustainable population of wild descendants.
