I highly recommend taking a private tour of Teotihuacan. There is just so much nuanced history to learn and only a guide can truly provide such information. Plus, transportation to and from the hotel was so worth it-- traffic in Mexico City is intense. Hector was wonderful. We learned so much, not just about Teotihuacan, but additional Mexican history. If you are on the fence about taking a private tour, it is well worth the money. Again, we highly recommend Hector.

We visited Teotihuacan on April 20, 2026, and had an incredible experience overall. We were actually on the Pyramid of the Moon about 15 minutes before the shooting began, but at the time, we had no idea anything was happening. Our guide Laura was calm, professional, and handled everything with great composure. Despite the unexpected situation, the tour itself was amazing. The archaeological site is enormous, yet very easy to walk and explore. It’s an impressive and memorable place, and we truly enjoyed our time there with our guides.
