What are people saying about Mexico City

Ernesto the Encyclopedia!
We took this private tour with Ernesto and I’d strongly recommend starting early while it’s still cool and before the crowds build. We began at around 9:30am, which was perfect - by lunchtime the school groups were arriving in force!
Ernesto was intelligent, thoughtful, and never rushed. He has an impressive depth of knowledge about the history and development of Mexico, Mexico City, and its wonderfully diverse population and his passion really comes through. He tailored the tour to our interests, answered all our questions, took photos for us, and guided us effortlessly through the 700 (nearly 701!) years since the founding of Mexico City (see… I was paying attention! 🤣).
Wherever we travel, we try to use a local guide for key sites, and Ernesto is exactly why. We got far more from our (slightly over!) two hours with him than we ever would have wandering around alone or relying on an audio guide.
If you’re unsure whether to book, do it. You won’t regret it. Thanks, Ernesto!

Our guide Issac was so...
Our guide Issac was so knowledgable and passionate about sharing the history, Barragan's life and works as reflected in the house. He incorporated our own experiences with Barragan's work and tailored the tour to our needs. We brought our one-year-old and Issac was very patient and accommodating while we took photos, revisited certain areas, and asked about different aspects of the property. Such a beautiful experience thank you so much!

A Day in Roma Norte y La Condesa
Ricardo is a lovely guy and a fantastic guide. His knowledge of art, history and architecture is both impressive and accessible. I was lucky to have a solo tour with him, but no matter what he is the person to take you around these beautiful neighborhoods.

The Guide Makes the Difference
If you visit the Luis Barragán House, do yourself a favor and book this tour. Our guide was wonderful, thorough, passionate, and consistently checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. His deep knowledge of the architecture and the story behind how this iconic home came to be at its location made our visit much more meaningful. We would never have appreciated the significance of the design details, especially Barragán's extraordinary use of color, without someone who understood them so well. Truly one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico City.

The museum is more than worth the price of admission!
Very detailed. Oscar was exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about the prehistory of Mexico and the how the pieces of each hall merged together.
Th only issue we had was not his fault but was from the office which delayed the digital tickets for admission. One family was particularly bent out of shape and very rude towards him when it was not his fault. Fortunately, they left the group. They were not pleasant and might complain about him, but it was the circumstances that were out if his hands.

Leonor is the Best
Leonor is the best possible guide. She knows virtually everything important about Diego Rivera, Frida Kayla, Juan O’Gorman, and pre-Colombian indigenous civilizations from the Olmecs to the Aztecs. She is sensitive and highly attentive, and she sees things that others usually miss. My wife and I are lovers of history, art, and anthropology, and we heartily endorse this tour. Bravo, Leonor!!!

Worth it!
100% worth it — Mauricio was an informative and entertaining guide! He provided great context and information regarding the lives of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo as well as the home they shared. Mauricio is an architect and provided historical/architectural context to Juan O’Gorman’s home/studio and his commissioned homes for Rivera and Kahlo. I would highly recommend if you are not fluent in Spanish — most of the signage & written information is in Spanish. Mauricio was able to give us that information and so much more! Thank you Mauricio!

Murals and Architecture appreciation!
Excellent tour of the Palace of Fine Arts and other historic buildings of the city. We spend over an hour with a thorough explanations of the precious murals at the palace including controversial masterpieces by Diego Rivera and others. This tour provided great insights into the magnificent architecture and the stories behind it.

Coyoacan/Trotsky tour
Rodrigo was a perfect guide, very knowledgable with a great sense
of humor. We left the tour with a better understanding of Mexico's history, its complicated relationship with Spain, Frida, Trotsky and more, not to mention a walk through beautiful Coyoacan.
Highly recommend!
