Was a very nice touch to have a private tour! Mar was very sweet and gave a personal perspective on Freda + the museum which was appreciated. The museum itself it a little small and there are translations for everything in English just an FYI. So this is definitely a splurge experience.

Our tour guide Neene was exceptional. From the moment we got to the museum she gave very clear instructions on how to find her and helped us check in seamlessly. I really appreciated her knowledge about Frida as this was our first time coming to this museum and to Mexico City. She was extremely friendly and she went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and take lots of pictures as well. I highly recommend her.

As a fan of Frida's work, we were looking forward to this museum and we were not disappointed. The museum has a great flow that takes you through the house and keeps the crowd evenly dispersed (even on a busy day). A lot of the information was in English and Spanish so one can easily enjoy at their own pace but to get the most out of the experience, we highly recommend getting a guide. Our guide was Neene who was very knowledgeable and passionate, relaying all the emotional aspects of Frida and Diego's journey excellently. We left feeling like we were immersed in the experience thanks to her.

The info on the tickets needs updated. Where they told us to meet did not exist, but Neene was prepared with a sign with our names.

The Frida Kahlo museum is a very well curated collection of the life of Frida Kahlo. It focuses on her life, loves, politics and philosophy as well as her struggles. Both personal and physical. Frida's spirit, as well as Diego Rivera's could be felt in every room. What is not here are Frida's self portraits. But no matter. There's plenty to take in and learn from. Neene, our Viator guide, was very knowledgeable about Frida's life. She was able to illustrate the world in which Frida lived during her life. We definitely came away with a stronger understanding of who Frida Kahlo was, her worldviews, and the society in which she lived. There is an intensity to the museum that envelopes patrons. The cobalt blue structure cools the senses to help prepare one for an exploration into Kahlo's tumultuous life. But the gardens at the end help to calm the mood. I highly recommend this tour for people interested in Frida Kahlo, art history and the impact of society on artists and their art. A truly unique museum for an enigmatic artist.
