Julio is an excellent tour guide. He had triuble locating us but he and the driver Moreno were very patient and greeted us pleasantly. Julio is very knowledgable. Very informational, and interesting. The private guide is the way to go if you'd like to experience Lima at your own pace with a small group. This can also be customized to your desires. We were going to have some overlap with some of our independent sight seeing, so we told our guide ahead of time where we wanted to focus and it was the perfect modification and pacing that suited our wishes.

An amazing experience

Yoced is a charming, funny and expert tour guide. As a solo female traveller, I was slightly nervous but from the moment I arrived, Yoced was attentive and kind. I had questions beyond the food tour and Yoced was ready to answer all of them really thoroughly. It felt more like a conversation with a knowledgeable and funny friend rather than a tour you pay for. He made sure everyone in the tour was happy and taken care of. Amazing Food Tour with Arthur!

The Lima Gourmet Food Tour with Arthur was absolutely amazing! The food was beyond delicious, and Arthur was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and informative throughout the entire evening. The small group made it easy to get around and made the experience feel personal. The bus was clean, comfortable, and very well air-conditioned. Each food stop was unique and memorable. Our first stop was a beautiful ceviche at a seaside restaurant overlooking surfers at sunset—so picturesque! The second stop was near historic ruins and featured some of the best dishes of the night. The third stop included a unique cocktail and some of the best croquettes I’ve ever had. We finished at a charming chocolatier, which was the perfect sweet ending to the evening. Afterward, we walked around Barranco, which was a great way to burn off a few calories while learning about the history of the neighborhood and taking in all the beautiful murals. If you’re visiting Lima, go on this tour! The food, the experience, and Arthur’s hospitality made it absolutely worth the price. Highly recommend!

Great for families

This is a fantastic experience if you want to get an overview of Lima’s culture and food traditions. I went with my husband and 2 college-aged sons. We sampled a variety of cuisines from fantastic coffee, delicious ceviche, and traditional Peruvian food overbooking Pre-Inca ruins. Lorenza is a terrific tour guide and very knowledgeable. Albert is a very professional driver. I loved that this tour was private for our family only. Our family are foodies and we firmly believe you cannot enjoy a country unless you enjoy their local cuisine! Would recommend to all our friends.

Amazing food tour with an amazing guideI had a great time on this tour. My guide Marco was hilarious, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. He made the entire tour feel packed with interesting stops and information, but still very relaxing and enjoyable. The pacing was perfect - we moved smoothly from place to place without ever feeling rushed, and he always made sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. I learned a lot about Lima's history, culture, and food, and got to try so many great local dishes. Marco's personality really made the experience even better. Highly recommend this tour!

Highlights of Lima Tour for Cruise passengers

Nice tour of the Highlights of Lima including the main areas downtown and visiting the Cathedral, the San Francisco church, museum and catacombs. Since our tour took place on a Sunday we had the chance to see around the Plaza de Armas several student groups performing music and local dances. We also had at our own expense a lunch at a nice restaurant in the downtown area. Last we visited a local market where we sampled some delicious fruits and visited Love Park with great views of the coast.
