Lantau Island is a must see when in Hong Kong!

Our family had such an amazing day on Lantau Island and it was all because of Tella our amazing tour guide. We took the crystal cable cars to the top of Lantau Island and visited the monetary and the large outdoor Buddha. We then went to Tai-O and spent some time in the fishing village which was super interesting! Our day with Tella was definitely a highlight of our trip and we could not recommend it any more!

Terrific itinerary and a fantastic driver (Kan Yeung) and guide (Cisco). Cisco was a fountain of information in terms of history and geography. Be aware that when you go into the old city, there is about an hour of walking on cobblestone streets. It’s a busy but very informative day on a very comfortable bus. You will not be disappointed.

Great way to see and learn about Hong Kong!

We had Karen as out tour guide who was very knowledgeable and very nice. She gave us options prior to our trip so a personalised itinerary was put together for us. Do go up Victoria Peake as there are stunning views of Hong Kong. She took us on the subway which was very clean, cheap and efficient! TIP - Do take into consideration the humidity when planning this trip and don’t try to fit too much in as is mainly on foot and you get very drained. Make sure you have plenty of water! Subway travel is by credit card only - no cash! Trip was very good value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Excellent informative and fun food tour with Issac

Issac was an excellent guide (we did a walking tour with him first and liked his style so much we asked for him again for the food tour). He is excellent at providing information in an interesting and informative way whilst also using humour. He took us to places we wouldn’t have even thought about trying without his knowledge. He also gave us tips on where to find the more unusual delicacies that weren’t part of the tour (snake soup and chicken feet for the braver westerners only!)

Great Trip with Daisy

Great trip and guide Daisy did wonderful. We rode the cable car and then a bus across to the fishing village. Not everyone had selected lunch but it was a local place and we had a very nice quick lunch. Back to the big Budda area. Visited the monasteries and then up the 168 steps to Big Budda if you wanted. Great views. The only downside to the trip is if you upgrade to the Crystal cabin you don’t have to wait in a long ride, but others in your group may have standard cabin tickets and you have to wait on them both ways. I would suggest changing the trip to only have one option. That said make sure to choose the crystal cabin option if you can. 5-10 min in line on the weekend instead of an hour for the standard ticket.

The trip was great and well organised. The cable car and Buddha were very impressed and would recommend the boat trip. We saw the white dolphins which was great. The dim sum lunch was only ok as was not dim sum but a plate of various items like spring rolls and mushrooms plus noodles

We had a great day out with Jackie our tour guide. He was so efficient and knowledgeable and gave us all the information we needed to know in a humorous and friendly way. The Peak Tram ride was awesome, dim sum lunch was delicious and very filling. With a short time in Hong Kong this was really worthwhile trip.

Amazing two days in Hong Kong tailed to my interests

One of the best tours I’ve taken. Kiyo was fabulous - warm and engaging, terrific English, and flexible. I actually booked two 6 hours tours with him so he came up with a compromise plan for the two days, and communicated with me ahead of time to ensure that my interests were taken into account. He made sure the pace was good and when I hit a wall late in the first day, arranged a coffee break. I can’t believe how much we saw. We were supposed to see Victoria Peak but the weather didn’t cooperate so the office actually refunded me the cost of the tram. I really wanted to see local artists and craftspeople so he took to me several excellent spots, and at the end of the second day dropped me off at the PMQ so I could explore more. I really felt taken care of and I love that he shared details about his day-to-day life in HK. He took me to some less touristy places as well as hitting all the highlights. I enjoy trying different foods but I’m not into waiting in line to try the places all the influencers go and I can’t eat much at once, so he made sure that the food was not a big deal - still very tasty! He took excellent photos and videos of me and sent them via WhatsApp at the end of each day. I 100% recommend this company - and specifically Kiyo - for anyone who wants to really explore Hong Kong.

experience good but receiving the voucher codes a nightmare !spent 1.5 hours night before and 45 mins at the tram trying to get the codes off . if I book with viator again I need the codes prior to travelling as I received in advance for my other tours, apart from cruise in Hong Kong and this trip .

Not the biggest boat, but the best by far!

This was a great choice. This was not the biggest boat running this type of tour in the Harbour, but it had the best heart and crew. They were very attentive, assisting me to board and disembark, as I use a cane, as well as helping me get around the decks. The boat had the charm of traditional Chinese fishing junks. They played lovely, relaxing piano music. After the bustle of the day and the crowds, it was a lovely respite. We were on the 6:30 pm sailing, which was perfect for viewing all of the buildings lit up on both side of the Harbour. Among the regular lights, we were treated to special displays specifically designed for the upcoming Year of the Horse celebration of Chinese New Year. There were about 25 passengers on the sailing, leaving plenty of space to see everything. All in all, beer was cold, music was soothing, crew were great, and the sights were outstanding. It was lovely that the weather was perfect, too, around 22-24 C, with only a slight breeze.
