Our driver Rene waited patiently for us to go through customs which took a long time as we could not access the QR code at the airport due to unavailable WiFi. Rene was a cautious, safe, friendly, helpful driver that went out of his way to make sure we were delivered safely despite all the rain and flooded streets in ANTGUA on our particular arrival day. One of the best tours I have ever been on. The site was amazing and so was our guide. We saw so much wildlife (lots of monkeys) and got to seethe sunset from a beautiful view point. The pacing was great and we leaned a lot about the history of the site. The food/drinks provided before the tour was great, come hungry!

I sent a message to the tour company 24 hours before to ensure they still had us booked as I didn't fancy getting up at 2:30am and no one picking us up, and they replied immediately confirming pickup details. The journey from Flores took a little over an hour and the minibus was completely full, and a little cramped, but this trip wasn't about the transfer. Make sure you purchase your Tikal entrance tickets AND a seperate sunrise ticket seperately, as there is no phone reception in the park. Upon arrival we had approximately a 40 minute walk, at a very brisk pace to reach Temple IV, and then one final push to climb to the top of it. Make sure you take a torch as the group does get split up a little due to the pace. Once at the top, the early morning start was 100% worth it. We were fortunate enough to see an awsome sunrise, and to hear the howler monkeys awaken was magnificent. After sunrise you continue the tour then at a more leasurely pace, with time to enjoy the scenery. Our guide was excellent providing not just information on the Mayan history, but also the wildlife we saw during the morning.

I highly recommend this private shuttle company. Our driver, JJ, was punctual, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. As we traveled, he shared fascinating insights and history about the local area, which added so much value to our drives. Communication was excellent; they kept in touch until the moment we met up. They were also flexible enough to provide transportation around town whenever we needed to visit different areas of Guatemala. A truly reliable service!

I communicated all my logistics via WhatsApp a few days prior to the journey. The exit from Aurora is a bit chaotic as there are a lot of drivers, vendors etc, but my driver was able to find me, my flight had also landed 45min early. My driver was super friendly and we bonded quite a lot. I speak pretty good Spanish and was able to chat with him and get local recommendations for things in Atitlan. It was door to door service and I got dropped off at my hotel. Also we stopped for a bathroom break and food too, and he was very mindful in offering and being flexible. I’d highly recommend.

The tour was fantastic. It was wonderful to see the villages, learn some history and culture, and see how the Mayans preserve their traditions. The boat ride is BUMPY and the views are spectacular. The most beautiful place on earth! Add this to your travel plans!

This is a great tour to help get aquainted with the city and begin to understand the history of the land. Our tour guide was Roberto and he spent several hours walking us around and giving us lots of information not only of the places, but if the architecture, food, and local culture. I couldn't recommend this more. Wear good shoes because tou will walk a lot.

Unforgettable experience! Much more challenging than I expected. I’m glad the “taxis” (horses) were an available along the route. Riding horseback partway up Pacaya made the climb easier while still taking in stunning views. Hiking across lava fields and roasting marshmallows over heat vents was surreal. A must-do in Guatemala — magical, humbling, and unlike anywhere else.
