Pedro is the best guide!
Our ATV experience was top notch. I give credit to our guide, Pedro. He was very knowledgeable and made sure to follow all safety protocols to make sure we had an amazing time but in a safe manner. We got to see many sites and explore the different cities along Lake Atitlan. I highly recommend this tour, and if you get Pedro as your guide you are a lucky person!

A Nice Day on the Lake
The Lake Atitlan tour made for a long but interesting day. The three villages we visited on the trip were diverse and worth visiting. Our guide did a good job of explaining the history of the area and the people who live there now. The slight reduction in our rating of this tour is due to the traffic that we encountered on the drive from Antigua to the lake. It's not a reflection on the driver or the guide, but the travel time to and from the lake can be tedious.

Best Lake Views
This was a wonderful excursion. We had Andreas who was very knowledgeable and patient. I have some mobility issues and he was able to help me get tuk tuk for one of the destinations requiring some steps. The views of the lake were stunning and he even took pictures of us throughout the excursion. Would definitely recommend.

An empty boat floating on the Lake Atitlan (Lago de Atitlán).
  • The easiest way to explore the lakeside villages is by boat, and local ferries run from Panajachel to most destinations.

  • The only ATM is located in Panajachel, and most villages only accept local currency, so stock up before you head out.

  • The main transport options around Lake Atitlán are small boats and tuk-tuks, so pack light as there’s not much space for heavy luggage.

  • Swimming in the lake is possible at designated areas.
