Very good tour for the price. We had Edwin as a tour guide and he was very knowledgeable about tikal.

We did the 4:30 am trip to Tikal from Flores. It was well organised, and Jose was a very informative guide. We entered the park after buying our tickets at 6:30 am. There was a restaurant and bathroom stop at the park gate. There are other bathrooms located by the ruins within the park complex. No need to feel desperate, if that is a concern. It was a good temperature for enjoying the sights and wildlife within the park.

José was a terrible guide, didn’t have the patience to explain and never answered our questions. He was very rude, always walking very fast and not waiting for the whole group. The tour started later and ended earlier. Everything was on a rush and not well organised

An amazing tour of the Mayan ruins. Our guide was excellent and answered all of our questions. The only thing I would recommend is to not buy the museum tickets, because you won’t have enough time. Also know that this tour involves a lot of walking and climbing stairs. But an incredible experience for the entire family.

It's very nice to stay in Flores (on the island) and this tour is a nice, easy way to visit Tikal. Smooth pick-up, good guide, walked all over Tikal.

Tikal is great, the bus nice and clean and the ride ok, although I find it strange that the driver and guide seemed to stop on the drive back doing private errands leaving 25 guests to wait. The guided tour started out fine, dividing the english and spanish speaking tourists into two different groupes with each their guide. The english speaking tour was unfortunately not very informative and there was a controversy with the guide as he was very late to the first meeting point in the park. So late actually that the whole group gave up on him at went off to explore without him. After a while he showed up with no acceptable explanation and completed the rest of the tour but the ambience eas not good after that incidence. I would recommend looking for a different service as Tikal is awesome and deserves a better tour.

The guides English was very hard to understand and that made the tour not as enjoyable. The itinerary indicated there would be break for lunch at end, but we were only given 20 minutes which was not enough time to get lunch. Guides and driver did not give much direction or talk very much. Made it difficult to know what to expect

Edwin was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable and personable, he gave so much more back story and history than other guides. The food at the restaurant was also good and the wildlife is amazing.

Tikal was cool but wish the tour can be more in depth. The tour guy didn’t cover much about the culture and history, the tour just felt like we self explored and walked thru a bunch of buildings.

We selected the 8am departure. Noe was our guide. He was amazing, super helpful, provided such interesting information about the temples and Mayan history. Be prepared to walk about about 4 miles. Buy your tickets ahead of time online so you don’t have to get off the bus to buy them at the park.

This was a great experience and Tikal is incredible.
But something to know: Credit cards are accepted in the park but not when buying an entrance ticket. There is no ATM available. If you have US dollars they must be in mint condition or will not be accepted. You can buy a ticket online while there, but this is time consuming with very slow wifi and you may end up holding up the group. Buy ticket in advance or have local currency to buy them there.

Bus was fine and driver drove safely. Tour guide spoke ok English but not the best. However, he was bland and not personable whatsoever. Didn’t try to get to know anyone on the tour. Did the bare minimal.

This was an awesome tour. Our Driver Sergio drove safely following all traffic signs and respectful to other drivers. Our tour guide Luis was very patient with my 71 Y/O Mother. Luis was very knowledgeable and informative.

Jose was the perfect guide. He loves what he does and it shows through his knowledge and enthusiasm. His English is perfect which we appreciated after many tours in Central America only catering to the Spanish speakers.

We had a great time in Tikal. Our driver picked us up on time and got us to Tika on time. The tour guide was amazing. He told us all about to call and he had a lot of personal experience and knowledge in archaeology. Our guide studied biology and had great knowledge about the plants and animals of Petén.. Our driver also dropped us at the airport on the way back, which was quite helpful. Thank you. We had a wonderful time.

I took the 4:30am tour which is a good option as it is less busy and less hot. You stop at a restaurant before going to the park and you can have breakfast and drink coffee. You walk around for 3-4h and you can go up on some temples. Alberto was our guide and he knew everything about the place and the history of mayas. Really cool!

Bring lots of water and any snacks you need - it'll be hot and lunch is at the end of walking portion of the tour. But worth it!!
