The transportation was private but the tour was not. The tour group was fun in the end and the guides were nice, but the whole day felt very rushed. Only a few minutes were spent at each location/activity. The second town, San Pedro, is not worth it as there is nothing to see in the short time. The rest of the towns and activities were great, with lots of new knowledge, great scenery, good food, and great people. Overall, a great day getting to know Lago Atitlan!

I highly recommend this business! Our tour guide, I believe her name was Maria did an amazing job! The tour was about 10 hours long. Please bring good walking shoes and water! Maria took us around Lake Atitlan and the mountains showing a complete understanding of not only the beautiful history of Guatemala but Panajachel! In addition to the very friendly approach and good sense of humor, Maria makes herself easily available and flexible to attend your wishes!

The beauty of the lake was incredible! San Juan was lovely, visiting co-ops (weaving, chocolate, 🐝 keeping ) was interesting and the guides were very knowledgeable. The stops on the islands were a little rushed, I would’ve liked a bit more free time on each island.

This was the best Viator experience I have ever booked. My wife and I travel all over and always use viator. This was easily the most amazing experience. The breakfast was delicious! The boat ride to 3 different Mayan towns was amazing. Each town is colorful and full of beauty. I highly recommend!!!!

Too much for too little

Looking back, the trip would have been significantly cheaper if done without the tour and much more time to explore the few places visited. About 5 hours driving to and from Antigua, sitting at breakfast nearly 1 hour, and lunch for an hour left us with barely any time in any town. While the guides were nice, definitely better if you do a self tour or if they slash the price but half.

Picked up late and very regimented

We signed up for a Private Tour thinking it would just be our family. We had private transportation from Antigua but then were in a group of 16 mostly Spanish speakers. The guide did each little talk in Spanish then English but we weren't able to bond with others due to the language barrier. The guide didn't share a ton of information and the tour was very regimented with very little free time. One of the reasons we opted for what we thought was a private tour was to move at our own pace and so the kids felt comfortable asking questions. The tour said it would pick us up at 5:30am but the driver arrived at 6:10am (the driver was great and was told to get us at 6) but sadly, we waited for 40 minutes outside 5:30-6:10am.

Dear Kristin, I'm sorry for the inconvenience with the tour. The departure times are in the tour description: The tour starts at 530am from Guatemala City and 6am from Antigua Guatemala. We also sent you a message confirming that the departure was at 6am. Regarding the inclusions, they are in the tour description as well: The tour includes: Group boat transfers, Admission fees, Private transportation, Group Guide and Breakfast. For groups over 10 people we use 2 guides, one in English and the other in Spanish. I hope I have clarified the doubts. See you on a next visit to Guatemala.

You should book this tour you will enjoy! We started up with a punctual pick up in our hotel by driver Aldo. Aldo is nice, respectful and has lots of information, we truly enjoyed are way to the lake. When we arrived our guide, Juan, was also welcoming, nice and informative. He also takes awesome pictures! Se had an awesome time no doubt.

I had the opportunity to do a tour with Francisco and Hannibal and honestly it was one of the best experiences I have had in Guatemala. From the beginning it was punctual, friendly and very professional. You know deeply the history, culture and traditions of the villages around the lake, which made the tour not only beautiful, but also very enriching. El Tour está muy bueno, las vistas de Lago Atitlan con sus volcanes son fantásticas. La compañía que nos dió el servicio de traslado fue increíble. El chofer del vehículo se portó genial y nos hizo pasar el traslado agradable. Lo que no estuvimos de acuerdo es que el tour en los pueblos y traslado en lancha no era privado. Necesitan especificar que sólo el traslado es privado pero todo el tour es colectivo. Se siente como un engaño y eso si nos molesta.
