Great!!! :)
The experience went and said delightful. It’s a lot of movement so be ready. Diego and Christian were amazing. Some tour people don’t take the time to really explain the history OR interact individually with their groups and that sucks. But they did. These are TWO hikes. First one is the hike to La fortuna waterfall, you have lunch, and then you’ll hike to volcano arenal. That at least your visit thermal hot spring if it’s included with your reservation. NICE TIME!!!

Our guide, Rasta, was excellent, witty and knowledgeable. He made our trip worth the money. We spotted so many animals—frogs, snakes, monkeys, birds and slothes in Mistico park. Hanging bridges were definitely an adventure. Volcano mountain hike was a good adventure as well. La Fortuna waterfall was worth the walk. Hot springs were relaxing.

Our guide Mainer (sp?) was great… informative and could spot the smallest creatures on the hanging bridges hike! The La Fortuna waterfall is amazing and such a refreshing swim after our hike! Our trip ended with a delicious 3 course lunch at Casa Luna… best food we have had so far in Costa Rica!

Beware of no refunds. But fun experience.
Originally we booked four tickets for our family. Once my daughter got to the top of the first platform, she became very scared and was unable to go through with it so we got down. Unfortunately they refused to refund our two tickets even though we did not do the courses. My husband and other daughter did say they enjoyed it very much. They also seem to take safety very seriously which I appreciated.

  • Bring a bathing suit, sun protection, bug spray, and comfortable shoes.

  • Swimming is allowed, but only in pools well away from the potentially dangerous currents produced by the falls, especially during the rainy season.
