A two-and-a-half-hour walk on a private reserve with a privileged location adjacent to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Located in the Arenal-Tempisque conservation area in the heart of Monteverde. It protects 83 hectares (205 acres) of 50% virgin forest, 45% secondary growth, and 5% open pasture. The altitude ranges from 1450 to 1615 meters with 40% Lower montane wet forest and 60% Premontane wet forest. Seven kilometers of natural trails allow visitors to explore the flora and fauna of the tropical cloud forest. This reserve is a birdwatcher’s paradise. The Resplendent Quetzal, Three-Wattled Bellbird, Blue-Crowned Motmot, Orange-bellied Trogon, and many others are frequently seen. "Right place right time" Johnny was a great guide! We saw over 30 different birds!!

Johnny was a very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and Friendly guide. He is great at what he does! We saw over 30 birds including the Bell bird and a keel billed toucan actively at the nest. We also saw a couple of Agouti, 2 pigs and a few Coati and went home with many videos and pictures that he took thru the scope!

This was an amazing experience. Esteban is very knowledgeable and was an amazing guide. We saw so much that we would not have seen without him. It felt like we were in a National Geographic show. This is one of the few...

This is one of the few tours that I could sign up as a solo traveler, and it turned out to be one of the highlight of my Costa Rican trip. Steven, our tour guide was EXTREMELY phenomenal. He went above and beyond for our group and kept us engaged. He was also very knowledgeable and we were lucky to see so many different kind of animals (though it would be nice to see some mammals 😆) . I high recommend him if he happens to be your your guide! Second, my group was amazing. Everyone was so nive and friendly and it was such a good vibe.
