Alex was THE BEST guide you could ask for. He was very knowledgeable about the geography and history of the country. He was also very funny and personable. The experience itself was wonderfulllll. The sites we visited and the views we saw were amazing! Pictures could do no justice. The food was also very good. We were able to choose from a menu of nice local spots. Alex was so great as our tour guide!! He knew so much about the area and was able to answer so many of our questions!! He made it so personable too by stopping to see unique birds, etc after learning about us and what we were most excited to see, etc. We highly recommend this tour company and this tour!! I would definitely recommend this experience! 10/10! My friends and I had such an amazing time, our tour guide Guillermo was very knowledgeable, kind, and made us laugh a lot! Definitely bring comfortable shoes as you will be doing some walking and going up and down a lot of steps but the views are worth it :)

It was a beautiful experience please note to rest well and be ready to get exercise in because there are alot of steps to see the waterfall and the Volcano, just know if it happenes to rain which it did on our tour you are most likely not going to see the Volcano because of the fog is covering it but you still get a workout in and get the embrace the beautiful nature, our tour guide was Alex and he was amazing and very helpful and educated us on the land and some of the animals we got to come across as a bonus like the Tucan and a sloth, the food was so delicious and the hot springs ended up being perfect because it was raining when we went so we were nice and warm with a little drizzle it calmed down a bit and the trees catch some of the rain to be honest I’m happy the Sun wasn’t out for the hot springs I would have been extra hot, the place was beautiful and they have an open bar you can relax at if you want to drink or on another side they have a big pool area where you can lay on a nice tile seat and put your drinks on the center tables, please note if your not an actual guest of the resort some areas are restricted and are for guest only but what you get is still worth it and nice. I hope you choose to go and experience this amazing tour and ask for Alex.

Our tour guide, Guillermo Sosa, was punctual, incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and attentive. He shared fascinating insights about the volcano’s history, local wildlife, and the region’s ecosystem as we embarked on our hike around the national park. We were thrilled to see an unobstructed view of the volcano which was breathtaking. We then visited La Fortuna waterfall. The descent is moderately steep, but well worth it! You can take a refreshing dip beneath the falls. The perfect finale was our visit to the natural hot springs. After a day of hiking and exploring, it was nice to relax and soak in the warm waters while drinking a few cocktails.
Lunch and dinner were included in the tour price. Lunch was served at a local restaurant with authentic Costa Rican cuisine. Dinner, later in the evening, was equally impressive. Both meals were delicious!
The day was long; however, this tour was a masterclass in adventure, relaxation, and natural beauty, and well worth the money. If you’re interested in this tour, I would highly recommend requesting Guillermo Sosa. He is an awesome tour guide and made our experience memorable! PURA VIDA Guillermo!

This was an excellent day and the highlight of our trip. Because we departed from Joco, It was quite a long day but definitely worth it. La fortuna waterfall was absolutely beautiful and we did have time to swim around if we wanted. We are unfortunately a little bit out of shape so the stairs were pretty intense. My mom who joined us opted to stay at the top but still had a beautiful view of the rainforest, and even saw a sloth at the top. Steven, Our tour guide, was excellent in keeping us engaged for a very long day. He was also very considerate of each member of our group and our limitations. We enjoyed the hot springs and it was a nice end to a very physical day.
Luis, our driver, was excellent, got us everywhere on time and was also very helpful and kind.
Because of the changeable nature of the weather in the region, are and all volcano is often shrouded in cloud. But on our drive approaching the volcano, the clouds cleared up and Luis pulled over so that we could get some beautiful pictures of the volcano knowing we may not get such a clear picture later.
We stopped for a typical breakfast on our way out of Joco which was delicious of course. Lunch and dinner which are included in the tour Were also very good. Some reviewers seem a little disappointed at the quality of the meals. If you want a five-star dining experience, I would recommend staying in the resort. If you want delicious food, typical of the region you're visiting, this is excellent. Thank you again for a great day!

Our tour guide, Agustin, was great. He found us a sloth at the Arenal Volcano Park and was very informative on the different types of orchids growing there. He gave us plenty of time at the hot springs. The only complaint is that our tour guide was extremely overworked. I would estimate 20 hours of work. He drove from San Jose to Jacó, Jacó to La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano and Hot Springs, then dropped us back at Jacó. Finally, he returned back to San Jose where he started. It’s unfortunate that the tour guides are treated like this.

Our group had an amazing time with Fernando as our guide. The weather was perfect and we were able to see the volcano clearly! La Fortuna was amazing but LOTS of steps. Ended the day perfectly at the hot springs. It was a very long day but worth it!

What a great experience! I was dreading the 4 hour ride from Jaco but there were intermittent stops to snack, eat and use the restroom. The guide Memo was knowledgeable and very helpful. Once we arrived at the sites, it showed how beautiful Costa Rica is. The 500 steps to the bottom of La Fortuna were an adventure itself. But if you don’t want to walk down, you can hang upstairs at the restaurant/bar or shops. Although it was cloudy and we couldn’t see the top of Arenal the short trip up and views were breathtaking. Last stop was the Hot Spring which were not crowded and top notch. If you aren’t a fan of the water, relax in the restaurant for drinks and food. On the way home we stopped at a local spot for dinner that was amazing. This was worth the time and money to view what Costs Rica is about

Great day trip that allowed us to explore a different part of Costa Rica. We were able to see the highlights of the La Fortuna area, including Fortuna waterfall, Arenal Volcano, and the hot springs.
Just keep in mind this is a long day. We left at about 6:15am and didn’t get back until about 10:30pm. However, the bus is comfortable enough and is air conditioned

Fernando was our guide, and he was superb with us. We have special needs, and he was very accommodating and patient with us. We really appreciate that. The tour was phenomenal and worth every penny. Our first stop was the La Fortuna waterfall, a breathtaking sight; then we had our lunch, which was delicious local food. Next, we went hiking up the Arsenal Volcano; Fernando took us up and explained the history. He is knowledgeable and answered many of our questions. The last stop was the Hot Springs and then dinner. Everything about this trip was phenomenal.

Alex was our tour guide and driver and was absolutely wonderful and informative about everything Costa Rica. He was on time picking us up the drive didn’t feel like it was 4 hours. The first stop is the waterfall, there are changing rooms, to get to the waterfall you have to go down 500 steps and then you are able to relax in the natural pools and take in all its beauty and peace. Then 500 steps back up but there are areas to stop and sit if you need a break. We got on the bus and headed to lunch which was delicious. After lunch we drove to the volcano, it’s less than a mile .30 up and .30 back down, you are hiking on all the natural lava rocks so it is rough but not terrible. Once we were back by the van he cut up fresh fruit for us then we headed down the road to the resort for the hot springs where we were given a towel and locker key. The hot springs were very relaxing and just what the body needed. There are 4 different pools with different temperatures and one has a swim up bar. Definitely would recommend!

When booking make sure you are aware of how far this is from where you are staying. This was a 4 hour drive each way from Jaco. It made for about a 16 hour trip. That said, it was a great experience and we would recommend it. We loved La Fortuna, the view of the Volcano, and our time at the hot springs. The meals provided were delicious as well. This is a very active activity so keep that in mind. Our guide worked hard to find a sloth and was able to find 2!

Regarding your observation about the bus being crowded, I apologize for any inconvenience. Each passenger had an individual seat, and the vehicle was not overloaded beyond its capacity. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide two seats per person.
Concerning the driving times, please be aware that factors beyond our control, such as traffic and weather conditions, can occasionally extend travel times. In such cases, we may need to adjust the duration of stops at some locations to ensure a balanced experience at each site.

Our guide Fernando was very knowledgeable and kind. He did a Herculean job of making a very very long bus ride stay interesting. The hot springs were the best, as the weather was not all that conducive to seeing the volcano. The ride home was very long and foggy.

The waterfall was awesome even with the rocky shore and the 500 hundred steps down and then back up. Our driver Victor was a great driver. The food was excellent and our guide Alex was very informative and we were able to stop along the way to see the wonderful wild life. The walk up the volcano was a bit treacherous but Alex made sure we had a safe trip up and down,

This is a lengthy ride from Jaco. However, it was worth every mile. On the journey you get to see small Costa Rican owns. There are over 600 stairs to get to the waterfall. They have many landing places as you go to rest if needed. The waterfall is absolutely beautiful and absolutely worth the stairs to see it. I was able to check off a bucket list item and swim in the waterfall pool. The water was very cold but I had to get in.
Summing Arenal with no clouds was amazing. The walk was a bit strenuous and is a natural path. The views at the top of the trail were magnificent.
The hot springs to end the day was lovely. They have multiple pools and with various levels of heat and a swim up bar.
Our guide was very personable and knowledgeable.
We had a great time.

What an amazing day! It was very long but full of fun and adventure! The waterfall was beautiful and the water was great for swimming. The only downside was the 500 stairs each way. Totally worth the work though! The volcano hike was great. Got to get up close and explore the rain forest. It rained some on us and clouds blocked a full view of the volcano but it was still amazing. Also, the hot springs…amazing! Differing temps for anyone’s preference. The bar had great drinks as well! Both meals we had were authentic and delicious!

Company cutting corners. Need to take care of their people . Last minute driver not a tour guide. They take advantage of their employees ge did not have to say anything for us to understand this. As well it was to be a deluxe dinner which ended up being cheap roadside take out food

It would have been helpful if you had explained how we are taking advantage of our employees. For the record, no one is forced to work for our company; it is their own choice, and they can leave if they wish. To provide some context for readers, if employees decide to leave our company, they would likely find another job the next day, as there are more job opportunities than available workers in the tourism sector in Costa Rica. This is also why we have a significant number of foreigners working in the industry.
Moreover, our employees' income, including gratuities, bonuses, and their regular salary, is among the highest in the country. They earn as much as an experienced engineer without needing to attend university for many years. They work in a beautiful natural environment, enjoying wild animals, waterfalls, and stunning landscapes every day. Based on my personal experience, this job is far more enjoyable than many poorly paid and monotonous jobs I have had in the past.
Additionally, you overlooked the fact that there are numerous stops and attractions visited when our representative is not driving, so they do not drive for 16 hours straight.
Regarding dinner, we do not promise a deluxe meal, only a regular typical Costa Rican dinner. However, we will monitor the quality of the meals, and we apologize that it did not meet your expectations.
