What are people saying about Granada

While an amazing...
While an amazing experience, it is a lot of walking, uphill and going upstairs. I enjoyed the exercise but a couple people were pretty tired by the end of it. I can’t emphasize this enough - wear proper walking shoes. Lots of cobblestones and dirt paths. Our guide, Celia, was quite personable and knowledgeable. She knew a lot of history & anecdotal stories. Overall, I recommend the experience.

Well worth doing
Miguel was a friendly driver and ensured we made the tour on time, and provided clear instructions on where to meet him at the end once we were ready. The tour of the Caminto del Ray was a liesurely walking pace, but at times felt rushed due to the narrow pathway and need to maintain contact with the guide so that headphone signal remained connected. The experience and hike was great, but my preference in future would be an unguided walk at own pace.

Nerja (another world)!
Incredible tour to the Nerja Caves and the town which also showcased the Balcon de Europa. Pictures cannot shown how amazing it was to be underground in a huge cave full of staglamites. The town itself felt like a tropical getaway from Granada. Our guide Michael was fabulous, informative and our small group felt like friends.

Alluring Alhambra
Large property, lots of steps, very busy. Quite glad that we booked a small group tour. There were 8 of us. Guillermo was our guide. He was knowledgeable and passionate about the Alhambra, and knew all of the best spots to get the best pictures. We loved getting to visit this justifiably revered piece of history to better understand the culture of Granada.

Filled with medieval architecture and surrounded by the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Granada shines as the center of Spain’s Andalucia region. Unsurprisingly, the top Granada day trips involve adventures in the diverse landscape, whether 4WD safaris in the Sierra Nevada National Park or hiking the hanging bridges and canyons of Los Cahorros. If the weather is unpleasant, other Granada day trip options, including exploring Alhambra's history, Ronda’s spa town, and Cordoba’s mosques, are equally satisfying. Other easy Granada day trips like Playa Granada sunset walks and Flamenco shows in one of Granada’s cave restaurants won’t disappoint.
