Our day was exactly as described. Day out to Perast, Kotor and Budva. Our driver Petar delivered all 3 destinations with information about the areas, recommendations on food/drink and ensured border crossing was a smooth process. Petar was patient, quiet and most importantly, a safe driver. The van was comfortable and clean. We loved how we could walk around in our free time to see what we wanted to see without having to be dragged around as a group. Thanks Petar for a wonderful Montenegro exoerience.

A private trip worth booking.

We booked a private tour, rather than a group and could not have been more pleased with our day in Montenegro. Our guide Ivan was so incredibly knowledgeable. Both my husband, and I like knowing the history of what has occurred in a region, and Ivan so exceeded any expectations of his knowledge and ability to convey what had transpired over the prior 106 years. There was no question he didn’t answer and he willingly shared what had occurred. When we got to each location, he told us where we should make points to see, and then give us time to explore. He also knew the tricks to make getting through the border crossing quicker. If it is in your budget, and you are interested in learning about the geopolitical history, as well as the history of the area sites to see, ask for Ivan and book this trip.

Amazing Nature & Culture

This adventure takes you for a scenic drive up the coast of Croatia and into Bosnia Herzegovina, where you'll spend about an hour at the waterfalls. Definitely try the local pancakes down by the water! You'll then drive through the Bosnian countryside to the city of Mostar - you'll spend about three hours there. Mostar is much more crowded than I expected, but rich in culture! Our guide, Marko, was actually from Mostar so he was able to add a lot of local information that we otherwise would not have received. This is a full day adventure so prepare accordingly!

Incredible experience!!! Do NOT miss this!!!

This was an incredible experience!!! When I first got on the boat, I was a little skeptical. When the boat got going without any safety speech, I was surprised, but you can clearly see where life jackets are available. At first, I wished he would tell us about what we were sailing past and that the boat would go faster. And then… First stop was the blue cave- early in the morning before the crowds- scary as hell to swim into a cave- but so worth it! Next stop Lockrum island. Marino had lost of suggestions and information for all types of travelers. Then we went to Shipat island for lunch. Magical Croatian lunch at one long table in the garden. The wine flows, you get to meet and talk with all your shipmates. It seems Marino knows everyone on the island- he took us to a local, Angela, who makes delicious olive oil infused with basil. The large bottle is $10. The third island is a quick stop at another beautiful island for a refreshing swim. The ride back is calm and quiet, a perfect way to end the trip, and now I was glad the boat went slow and he didn’t give us a guided tour. It gives you time to soak in the beauty around you and appreciate the magical day you just had. It is fun to watch Marino skipper the boat- pulls the anchor by hand, climbs around the outside hopping on and off to tend the lines. He knows most of the other mates along the way and they all help each other dock and tie up. The captain is a quiet fellow. I believe his wife cooks the lunch. If you are looking for an authentic Croatian family run experience- do not miss this one!!!!!

A fabulous day trip to a new country!

The day was great - plenty of time in both places (we did Mostar first - 2.5 hours, then 90 min at the waterfall). The waterfall is so pretty + the water felt great after 100° all day. I’d recommend water shoes if you have them - though I did manage on the rocks barefoot.

A pleasant way to enjoy Elafiti islands!

We booked this 8 hour tour a week before our stay at Dubrovnik. Communication through the app has been quick and clear. All the staff on board was kind, joyful and quick, they tried to make us comfortable in the best possible way. The boat was pretty big, we enjoyed the trip and even the meal (which was well cooked) without any issue at all. The stops gave us the opportunity to discover beautiful places like Kolocep and Sunj Beach, something you can't miss absolutely (don't forget mask and snorkeler)! Dea Maris is probably one of the best options to discover these little spots on Dubrovnik coastline, really recommended

Hot in the city

We explored some coastal towns along our trip to Kotor. Our guide Anna provided amazing history along the way and provided updates on what to expect. The weather was unbelievably hot however our driver and guide did their best to make sure we had water and tired to keep the van as cool as possible. Kotor is a beautiful city with many tiny streets to explore in the old town.

Great team operating the tour

It started from Iva and Tinka. Whenever I had a question, they were always answered super kindly. Then, on the day of the trip, our guide Annette was amazing. She always told us how long to the next spot, and always managing our expectations. I had a wonderful experience because of the people working there. Once you get to Kotor, you see some stray cats and dogs. Might want to carry some water bowl for them. Also the tour guide there was awesome! All in all, you will have a great time.

We travel at least twice a year to various European countries and have booked several local tours over the years. Our experiences with the local tour companies have ranged from outstanding to "just OK." The entire experience with Dubrovnik Boat Tours (DBT) from booking to getting off the boat at the end of the tour was absolutely outstanding. DBT is one of the most professional, efficient, forward-thinking, and accommodating tour companies we've encountered. The experience started not long after initially booking the tour. Our travel itinerary was very complex and we had questions regarding specific details of how we could get to the departure dock the day of the tour from where we were initially scheduled to stay in Dubrovnik. Every request for information was promptly responded to within a few hours. A few days before the tour, we hadn’t yet checked what the weather would be the day of the tour. We received a message from Srdjan Klaic, our DBT point of contact, suggesting that if possible, we take the tour a day earlier because the scheduled day of the tour was to be bad weather. The prior day would not be possible, because we would still be traveling to Dubrovnik, so we asked if we could be rescheduled for the day after the scheduled day. He immediately responded that would be OK and that was that. When we arrived in Dubrovnik, we found that we’d been moved to a different hotel. We informed DBT 24 hours out that our hotel accommodations had been changed last-minute. They immediately made changes to their pickup schedule to accommodate picking us up at the new location - - no questions asked and in a pleasant “can do – no problem” manner. The staff and crew on the boat were some of the most friendly, professional and fun people one could hope for. On top of all of this, the two lunch options prepared fresh onboard while sailing were absolutely delicious, served steaming hot, and of a quantity one would seldom find in a 4-star restaurant. Thank you DBT for a most memorable and enjoyable experience.
