Hot in the city

We explored some coastal towns along our trip to Kotor. Our guide Anna provided amazing history along the way and provided updates on what to expect. The weather was unbelievably hot however our driver and guide did their best to make sure we had water and tired to keep the van as cool as possible. Kotor is a beautiful city with many tiny streets to explore in the old town.

Relaxing and enjoyable tour

Excellent tour. Our driver and tour guide, Miodag, was experienced, knowledgeable and polite with plenty of stories to share. Good recommendation for lunch. Early start so we did not have to wait long at the border and we were back by 4:30pm. The minivan was comfortable with good air conditioning.

Memorable Journey To Croatian Islands and Mljet National Park

Donnie, our skipper, was outstanding. He was very entertaining and helpful. We spent the entire day on the water making multiple stops at beautiful locations. The scenery was spectacular. The Mljet National Park was a unique experience with gorgeous clear water lakes and swimming in Odysseus Cave was a showstopper. Timing of all the stops was perfect. This tour made made our trip to Croatia special and memorable.

Worth the money

The guide Darko was great. I was travelling solo and he was kind enough to take some snapshots of me when we stopped to take pictures at scenic viewpoints. Along the route he gave info and history on places we were visiting, local cuisine suggestions and got us through both border crossings with a minimum of hassle. The trip was well planned and he kept us on schedule with clear instructions on drop off and meet up times and places. He posted his location when it was close to the meet up times so we could find him, as some of the places are busy and a confusing to navigate and everything was self guided. Perast, Kotor and Budva are beautiful and the boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks which costs an additional 10 EUR is well worth it. We stopped there first, so nothing on the island was open yet, but since we were the first group to arrive it was not super hot and we had the island to ourselves. It was a long, hot (35C) day with a lot of destinations crammed in, so the transportation to each place was a nice rest in the air conditioned van! Well worth spending the money for the convenience of not having to plan or drive and having a guide.

Professional and well organized

Nora and Jelan were exceptional. Nora is soft spoken but knowledgeable with the history and background of the destinations, and Jelan kept the passengers’ comfort in mind when it comes to his smooth driving. I usually have motion sickness but not on this trip. Highly recommended pair.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Mostar and the Kravica waterfalls in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The very early start from Cavtat allowed us to make the most of our day. TJ was a great guide, very informative and also extremely funny. His recommendations for food and activities in Mostar were very helpful, and he was quite efficient in organising the border crossings. The two destinations themselves were absolutely worth the journey. Mostar is an incredible city with a fascinating historic centre, and the waterfalls are impressive and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting the area.

We had a wonderful time on the 3 Islands Cruise today! The boat was impressively large, very clean, and comfortable, making the journey enjoyable from start to finish. The crew were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the trip. The lunch provided was delicious and exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to Elisa, the fantastic activity organiser, whose enthusiasm, energy, and professionalism made the day even more enjoyable. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect, we thoroughly enjoyed our day out on the sea. The beautiful scenery, excellent service, spacious and spotless boat, and great atmosphere made it a memorable experience. We travel at least twice a year to various European countries and have booked several local tours over the years. Our experiences with the local tour companies have ranged from outstanding to "just OK." The entire experience with Dubrovnik Boat Tours (DBT) from booking to getting off the boat at the end of the tour was absolutely outstanding. DBT is one of the most professional, efficient, forward-thinking, and accommodating tour companies we've encountered. The experience started not long after initially booking the tour. Our travel itinerary was very complex and we had questions regarding specific details of how we could get to the departure dock the day of the tour from where we were initially scheduled to stay in Dubrovnik. Every request for information was promptly responded to within a few hours. A few days before the tour, we hadn’t yet checked what the weather would be the day of the tour. We received a message from Srdjan Klaic, our DBT point of contact, suggesting that if possible, we take the tour a day earlier because the scheduled day of the tour was to be bad weather. The prior day would not be possible, because we would still be traveling to Dubrovnik, so we asked if we could be rescheduled for the day after the scheduled day. He immediately responded that would be OK and that was that. When we arrived in Dubrovnik, we found that we’d been moved to a different hotel. We informed DBT 24 hours out that our hotel accommodations had been changed last-minute. They immediately made changes to their pickup schedule to accommodate picking us up at the new location - - no questions asked and in a pleasant “can do – no problem” manner. The staff and crew on the boat were some of the most friendly, professional and fun people one could hope for. On top of all of this, the two lunch options prepared fresh onboard while sailing were absolutely delicious, served steaming hot, and of a quantity one would seldom find in a 4-star restaurant. Thank you DBT for a most memorable and enjoyable experience.
