Itinerary
In the morning, meet your guide and group in Dubrovnik's Old Town. Then, head to the cable car station. Board the comfortable cable car for the ride up steep Mt. Srd. Be sure to stand at the back of the car for unimpeded views of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, or Stari Grad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe.
At the top of the mountain, take some time to enjoy the views of the Adriatic Sea. Then, return to the Old Town for the next portion of the tour.
On your Old Town walking tour, see historic landmarks including the Dominican Monastery, which boasts a Gothic courtyard and one of the oldest working pharmacies in Europe. Continue walking down the limestone-clad Stradun, a popular city promenade, and take in many other highlights.
Finally, head over to an entryway up onto the City Walls. Say goodbye to your guide, grab your included tickets, and stroll along the walls at your own pace.

This was a good tour. Our guide talked about the history of the city and of the wall. Pointed out the different points of interest and their importance. She was well informed and willing to answer any questions
This is an amazing place. Our tour guide took good care of us; careful we didn’t stray! Kay was fantastic. We saw amazing sights and we were given a bit of info to better understand certain events.
It was 90 plus degrees with 90 percent humidity. I haven’t sweated that much in quite some time. Cables from the cable car got in the way of a photos regardless where you stood at the top
Our guide, who said his name was Elvis, did an excellent job of walking us through old town Dubrovnik and explaining its history. He had lived in Dubrovnik all his life and was quite familiar with what had transpired to this city. It was a very hot day but our guide tried to ensure we stayed in the shade as much as possible and had opportunities for us to drink from the free-flowing fountains. The cable car ride was enjoyable and gave us a real bird's eye view down to Dubrovnik. We have our tickets to walk the walls and we'll do that later today when it gets a little cooler out.
Great experience. Elvis my guide, offered lots of insights to the experience. Didn’t stay for snacks at the restaurant but still enjoyed the experience

We had a great experience exploring Dubrovnik with our guide, Elvis. He was incredibly knowledgeable and happy to share his insights on both the history of Dubrovnik and life in the city today. He made the walking tour interesting and engaging, and we learned so much from him.
The cable car ride was beautiful and definitely offered some amazing views of Dubrovnik, but if we were to do it again, we might skip that portion. It was extremely hot the day we visited, and once you reach the top, there isn’t a whole lot to do beyond enjoying the views. Traveling with our 14- and 17-year-olds, we found the walking tour and exploring the Old Town to be the real highlight.
Overall, Elvis was an excellent guide and made the experience memorable. Highly recommend him for anyone wanting to learn more about Dubrovnik beyond just seeing the sights.
Knowledgeable guide and interesting facts presented. Could have spent a little more time at the top of the cable car but it was still very good.
We really enjoyed our tour by Elvis. It was very informative about history of Dubrovnik, the building and rebuilding and historical aspect of what went on in the old city. Definitely recommend took us up to the cable car and left.

Great tour with a great guide. Terrific views from the cable car. The old town is fascinating. We walked part of the wall because it was very hot. Sara was a fabulous guide and gave us recommendations for lunch and what else we should see.

Inside the walls of Dubrovnik was so unbelievable. Having a guided tour of the city was great !! The cable car ride was wonderful and gave you an opportunity to see everything from such a view. The city and its history were undoubtedly indescribable and getting to walk the walls was was a must do. ( start the walls at the front west corner and get the hard work done at the beginning, bring water on the walls walk or you’ll be sorry. )

We had an excellent experience on the Dubrovnik Cable Car Ride, Old Town Walking Tour, and City Walls tour. Our guide was on time, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about Dubrovnik’s history, culture, and landmarks. He shared a wealth of information in a way that was engaging, easy to understand, and often very funny.
What really stood out was how down-to-earth and personable he was. He made the group feel welcome, answered questions thoughtfully, and kept the tour moving at a comfortable pace. The cable car views were spectacular, the walk through Old Town was fascinating, and the City Walls provided some of the best scenery of our entire trip.
If you’re visiting Dubrovnik and want a guide who is informative, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the city, this tour is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!
Great way to get history of Croatia and Dubrovnik. The Old City wall has amazing views. Cable car gives good prospective of whole area.
This is essentially a way to upsell a cable car ride with tickets to the walls with a “tour”. Small group but hard to hear the guide who was a nice guy but didn’t tell us much about the old town other than the recent war and who famous Croatians are. Didn’t take us to photo spots, just walked a bit and talked for 10-20 minutes. Would be nice if he said here are some photo spots, take some photos and this is the significance of these buildings. Essentially we walked down the Main Street, to the cable car ride. Itinerary was not in the order of what it said in the ad. Guide left us at the top of the cable car ride and took off at the end. Thought he was taking us to where you go on the wall tour. Done many a tour of historical cities/ towns/areas, this was not very good. Learned 0 about Dubrovnik other than it got the crap bombed out of it in the civil war which seemed to be the focus of the tour. Save yourself a pile of money and just buy tickets for the cable car and city walls.

Thank you for your feedback, and we are sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations.
However, we would like to clarify that the tour description clearly states that the experience includes a walking tour of the Old Town, while the visit to the city walls is self-guided after the guided portion. On the day of the tour, due to exceptionally large crowds at the cable car, the guide adjusted the order of the itinerary in order to avoid long waiting times and ensure a smoother and more enjoyable experience for all guests.
During the tour, the group of 11 guests was introduced to the history of Dubrovnik, the Dubrovnik Republic, its fortifications, cultural and religious heritage, as well as aspects of daily life past and present. The Homeland War was also referenced at relevant official memorial and information points within the Old Town, as it is an important part of Dubrovnik’s recent history and historical context.
We would also like to emphasize that the guide adjusted the pace throughout the tour to accommodate the group and also assisted with recovering lost city walls QR codes, ensuring that guests were able to continue their visit without any issues.
We fully respect that different travelers may have different expectations. However, we do not agree with the statement that guests “learned nothing about Dubrovnik” or that the tour was simply a “cable car upsell.” Our intention is always to provide authentic local insight and historical context, which is something the vast majority of our guests greatly appreciate.
Met our guide Elvis just outside Pile Gate and was easy to find holding a sign. We first walked up to the cable car with some history about the walls and waterways. Great views from the top of the cable car! On the return Elvis gave us a walking tour of the old town with its history and points of interest. He was great, friendly and knowledgeable! The city walls part is self guided and easy to find the access points which Elvis also pointed out. My ticket also included museums which were also interesting. Oh and try the orange ice cream (recommended by Elvis!) it was delicious!
My new favorite destination - Old Town Dubrovnik! This is an entire city (restaurants, shops, theaters, churches, hotels) all housed within 1400 year old buildings, housed inside a fort. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us so much history. The cable car ride up the mountain gave us some incredible views.
We really enjoyed this walking tour. Our guide Sara was great! Really knowledgable and friendly. Would definitely recommend this as an intro to the old town and the cable car and walking the walls are well worth doing.
Sara was extremely knowledge and friendly. It was great to get a local’s perspective on everything from reading her father’s war journal to what it’s like being an extra in Game of Thrones. The actual guided part and cable car only lasted about two hours and then we were free to wander on our own.
Elvis was amazing. So personable and made sure we saw all the sites. Even got us to the top of Mount Syd before it got clouded in. If you’re in the Dubrovnik , be sure to do a tour with Elvis.!
Elvis was great. Changed things up a little so we would be sure to get on the cable car. Glad we did because it closed later due to winds. He was very informative

The ride up Mount Srd offered absolutely stunning views over the city and coastline—truly unforgettable. Our tour guide was amazing. Loved seeing and learning about old town and getting to visit the city walls.
Well worth the money. A great way to start our holiday in Dubrovnik. Our tour guide was delightful; she took the time to answer all our questions and made sure we saw all the fabulous sights of the beautiful old town. The only downside was the conflicting information as to where the meeting point was at the start of the tour. Our ticket stated that the meeting point was at Elite Travel Walking Tours, Brsalje ul. 1,20000, which is where we headed; no one was there. By this time it was 09.05, your started at 09.00. We called the organisers to be told that the meeting point was at Pile Square, as per itinerary. We had to get a taxi, costing us 15 euros to take us to the cable car in order to catch up with the group. It wasn’t the best start to the day.
Everything perfect. Great walk and views. Our guide was very nice and helpful, she has a great knowledge about the city and its history.
The DUBROVNIK CABLE CAR RIDE, OLD TOWN WALKING TOUR PLUS CITY WALLS tour is a must experience. Our local guide was very knowledgeable. After the tour, my friend and I walked the entire city wall to see all the spectacular views from different advantage points. We were lucky enough to have great weather to experience the cable car ride. It's truly a beautiful view from the top!
