Itinerary
Meet your walking tour guide and other “Game of Thrones” fans at the Large Onofrio Fountain near the western entrance to Dubrovnik’s Old Town. You won’t even have to look far for your first ‘Game of Thrones’ filming location; the nearby Pile Gate is your first stop.
Follow your guide outside the City Walls to the twin locations of the Kolorina beach and Dubrovnik West Harbour, where they’ll explain the many scenes that were filmed here. Climb up to Fort Lovrijenac, the mighty fortification used to represent the Red Keep, to learn how it was used for different scenes, including the infamous Purple Wedding.
Finish with a photo opportunity on the famous staircase outside the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola where Cersei did her “Walk of Shame”.

There are a lot of companies offering the Game of Thrones tour, but this is the one you want! Josip was absolutely brilliant! His insights into the show were only surpassed by his extensive knowledge of Dubrovnik’s history. He made us laugh and he made us reflect. It was an outstanding tour and the only bad thing I could say was that it had to end. I recommend this tour, 1000%!

I've never seen a single episode of The Game of Thrones, but my fiance is a big fan, so I accompanied her on this tour. Despite never having seen the show, the tour was fabulous for the views and the fascinating insights our tour guide (Yelena) gave us. She is a native of Dubrovnik and knows the city inside and out. Many of the guides from other companies leave the "Red Keep" off the tour, but she not only brought us there, but had a key to the locked gate so we could even go inside (but that did require a bit of an imagination...).

Great experience and really fun to hear and see where things were filmed as well as real Croatian history. Our guide was fantastic and I’m glad we did it early in the morning to avoid crowds.

Did the GOT tour with friends and family, some of who have not watched GOT, and everyone enjoyed it. Nice mix of GOT, historical info and amazing views. We bought the Dubrovnik pass ahead of time, which included the entrance fee to the fortress, and planned to walk the city wall on our own later (city wall not included in this tour). Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs!

Fabulous trip, well worth the money and learnt some interesting insights into the filming of GoT. Was cool to visit the many parts of the City where key scenes were filmed. Our guide Ivica was great. If you buy the Dubrovnik pass beforehand you can get free entry to Fort Lovrejenac which is part of the tour ... be warned there are a LOT of steps! You also get 20% off the lokrum island ferry/entrance fee if you have the 3 day pass so you pay 24 euros instead of 30.
All in all would highly recommend this tour if you're a GoT fan.

Such a great experience! The guide (I don't remember his name unfortunately) was not only extremely knowledgeable but also genuinely funny, which made the tour so engaging. The pace was just right...plenty of time to soak in the views and stories without feeling rushed. The smaller group size made it even better, giving it a more relaxed and personal feel (possibly helped by traveling in April). Definitely a highlight of my time in Dubrovnik!

This tour was fabulous! Josef was friendly and funny and knowledgeable. My daughter and I went on this tour and loved it. We got some incredible shots of Dubrovnik and loved all of the GOT behind the scenes details and info. I should have finished watching the series before the tour, but that is my own fault! Hahaha. Great tour. We learned a lot about behind the scenes in the filming of GOT. We climbed to the top of the castle with lots of photo stops. We learned facts about the movie and the city. We would definitely recommend!

Knowledgable friendly guide. It was great being private as we could better interact with guide. She took lots of pictures of us which was easy since it was just us. It was very helpful to understand the backstory of filming and when the original sites were slightly altered. She has pictures of the scene to compare to reality.
I did think that $120/person was high. I’d be ok with maybe $75 but for $125 I feel it wasn’t worth it.

The guide was very knowledgeable both about G.O.T and local history, facts. The places we visit we very interesting especially when he had photos of the specific scenes that were filmed there. There are some steps but they were okay , not too steep .

Our guide Jelena was awesome. She was very informative giving us not only information about the filming locations for GOT but also a lot of stories about the local involvement in the series and also the history of Dubrovnik. The hike to the top of Fort Lovrijenac was no joke; but totally worth it. The stories about the filming there and the views of Old Town were breathtaking. There is a reason this is the highest rated GOT tour in Dubrovnik. It did not disappoint.
