Meet your walking tour guide and other “Game of Thrones” fans at the Large Onofrio Fountain near the western entrance to Dubrovnik’s Old Town. You won’t even have to look far for your first ‘Game of Thrones’ filming location; the nearby Pile Gate is your first stop.
Follow your guide outside the City Walls to the twin locations of the Kolorina beach and Dubrovnik West Harbour, where they’ll explain the many scenes that were filmed here. Climb up to Fort Lovrijenac, the mighty fortification used to represent the Red Keep, to learn how it was used for different scenes, including the infamous Purple Wedding.
Finish with a photo opportunity on the famous staircase outside the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola where Cersei did her “Walk of Shame”.

This was a great story to get an overview of how old town in Dubrovnik was used for the filming of various scenes in the Game of Thrones episodes. I really enjoyed the tour. It was about three hours if you went on the island. He also get an opportunity to sit in the throne.

Great experience if you are a GOT fan. Be prepared to spend 15 euro to view the top of the castle it’s not included. It is about 120 steps to the top but very doable for all fitness levels. The island and ferry is another 30 Euro and bring a swimsuit with you!!

The guide did an excellent job!! So worth it if you’re a GOT fan. Highly recommend the island trip afterwards. If you book the tour early in the day you can turn the rest of the day into a beach day at the island!!

This was a great tour! Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and very informative. He did a great job explaining the different scenes and showing the counterpart in the show. We had enough time to walk around and get pictures and didn’t feel rushed. It was also great that he told us some history about Croatia as we were walking between sites.

If you are a GoT mega fan, this is totally worth the experience! Even if not, it was the best time! Our guide was in the series, Season 5 - Peasant #57 and he gave us all kinds of behind the scenes info. Lots of walking…particularly lots of steps so be ready!! Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and I have never seen an episode!😂

The GOT tour was very fun to see many of the filming sites in Dubrovnik. Our guide Edi was funny and had tons of unique pieces of information. We chose the extended Lokrum island visit, and would highly recommend going there as part of the tour. Make sure to pack a swim suit for Lokrum island, as we wish we'd have known. Overall, a great tour!

This is so much more than just a game of thrones tour. The guide was super knowledgeable about the history of Dubrovnik, plus we were lucky enough to have a guide who had worked on the set whilst filming so he had great insider stories. Definitely recommend this tour

This tour was a great way to see all of old town Dubrovnik and get a thorough background on the shooting locations over the various seasons of Game of Thrones. My wife and I also really enjoyed our guide Jelena’s sense of humour and the behind the scenes stories she shared about the cast and locals who were extras in the show!
Dubrovnik is a beautiful city and this tour gives you the opportunity to see all the Game of Thrones shooting locations while also seeing some amazing spots like Lokrum Island (which we thought was worth the extra charge).

I would not recommend this. You can see this place yourself. The guide was nice. He made us buy the dubrovonik pass and told i can see the walls within 3 days. But, forgot to mention i need to do that in the same day. I lost the opportunity.

We're glad to hear you found the guide friendly. We'd like to clarify one point regarding the Dubrovnik Pass. The pass is available in three different versions—1-day, 3-day, and 7-day—and the validity depends on the option purchased. Our guide does not know which version each guest chooses to buy, as the pass is purchased directly by the visitor, and the guide receives no personal benefit or commission from recommending it.
If you purchased the 1-day Dubrovnik Pass, admission to the City Walls is valid on the day the pass is first activated. The 3-day and 7-day passes have different validity periods. We're sorry if there was any misunderstanding about how your specific pass worked, and we understand how disappointing it must have been to miss the opportunity to visit the walls.
We'd also like to point out that the Dubrovnik Pass is an official city product, not a service we operate or manage. We do not set the rules or validity conditions of the pass; we simply inform guests about it because it is the most cost-effective way to visit the City Walls and several other attractions.

It was an ok tour. The guide had a lot of good info to share. But there was just so many people touring the area and it was extremely hot. Just a reminder that there are extra fees.

Josip was a super guide. He showed us the places where shooting of Game of Thrones took place. He shared a lot of details and showed us a lot of pictures while talking about small funny stories that happened. The tour also provided details about the history of Dubrovnik, which was nice. The visit to Lokrum Island was also really nice. It would have been nice to have more details on Lokrum, having known in advance, we would have brought our swimsuit to spend the afternoon there. But, besides that, we really appreciated the tour and would recommend to any Game of Thrones fan.

Our beautiful guide Andrea was so so good. She was detailed in explaining every site. She took us into shades while giving us the explanation during the tour. We learned a lot and remembered portions of GOT episodes. Great way to explore this ancient marvel. Good job Andrea. Love the smile!! Lokrum island is even better. The private secluded beaches and the restaurant was a great add on to our day. We loved the island and its peacocks.
