Our favorite memory from vacation!

By far our favorite thing we did on vacation. We are a family of four, Dad, Mom and 2 boys ages 11 & 13. Pick up from our hotel in Bávaro was fine. You are in a van with the other people on the tour and they take you to the starting point and then back to your hotel afterwards.They are easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. We rode with 1 adult and 1 kid on each ATV. We have some ATV experience but there were others on the tour that didn’t have prior ATV experience and they did fine. You need to wear comfortable shoes, doesn’t need to be closed toe shoes it could be sandals just as long as they are comfortable and you’re ok with them getting sandy/dusty/muddy. You can bring your own bandana for your face or buy one there for $5 or go without which we did. You get dusty but it’s not too bad. You can bring a bag or backpack that will be tied down to the front of your ATV which will get dusty too so just heads up to bring something you don’t mind getting a little dirty. The family that runs it is very nice, the ATVs all run great and are in good shape. They take pictures and videos for you that they send you in WhatsApp through a link and you don’t have to pay extra for on top of the excursion price which is nice. You ride along the beach, then to a Dominican family home where you try fresh coconut and coffee. Then our group split up, we chose the mountain/River option so after a quick swim in the ocean off we went. We went through trails, up hills, and even through the River a few times. It was so fun. The adults and kids all enjoyed it! Our guide was good at warning us of changes in terrain and when to slow down and speed up. The whole thing lasted about 4 hours plus the time to and from the resort. We really enjoyed taking in the countryside, river, beach, etc all in one excursion. The ATVs go fast, we went around 60mph at times. I booked this excursion after reading other positive reviews and happy to say we had an amazing experience too! You won’t regret booking it!

Best tour!

I frequently travel to the Dominican Republic and this has been one of my very favorite tours. Leo our driver was so friendly and even stopped so I could buy some chicharrón. The tour guides took great care of us and the whole experience is so much fun and the waterfalls are beautiful. The food was delicious and the photographer captured so many great videos and pictures. I would do this tour every time I’m here. Great job and all are very professional and took excellent care of us.

Excellent communication from start to finish! They reached out the night before with clear pickup details, including what the vehicle would look like, so there was zero guesswork. Since it was Easter weekend, the tour had to be slightly adjusted and we couldn’t go to the beach—but it was still an absolute blast! This was my second time doing a buggy ride, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

A Must Do When In Amber Cove

This was a great excursion at a great price. One thing we weren’t aware of ahead of time was that there would be a photographer, and they primarily deal in cash. There were also a couple of stops along the way where cash was preferred or needed, so it’s a good idea to bring some with you. If possible, check with the operator beforehand to see the current price for the photographer—you’ll definitely want the pictures from this excursion. If you’re bringing a 360 camera, take some time to look at the different mounting options before you go. You can capture some really amazing video during the ride. The guides were very friendly and helpful, and the transportation from the cruise port to their location was quick and easy, about a 10-minute van ride. Overall, this was a fun and well-organized excursion that I would definitely recommend.

If you want a fun day...

If you want a fun day with excellent guides. I highly recommend this. Johnny picked us up at the cruise ship and delivered us back pointing out highlights along the way. Please felt completely safe with our ATV guides and truly had a memorable day. The only thing I was surprised at is they charge an additional $25 if you want copies of the ATV pictures that are taken along the way.

I have been all over and done tons of tours but this was one of the best. Take into consideration I’m not even an ATV person but the routes / rods were safe while still being thrilling. They took us through some mud but not too much and the stopping points for tours were great. I would highly recommend.

Off the beaten path

Excellent and professional from pick up to drop off. Loved seeing the coffee farm and the bikes are excellent. Clear instructions on how to use and felt like I was cared for with water and recovery drinks. I would do this again when returning to PUJ. Loved that I was away from the tourist area and able to see the real locals and shop local.
