What are people saying about Cape Town

We booked the Cape tour...
We booked the Cape tour initially with Ian and had so much fun we booked the wine tour as well. The sights were breathtaking and definitely worth the trip. Having a private tour allowed us to stop for pictures and tailor the tour to our interests. Ian was courteous and fun. Being from Cape Town he had a lot of knowledge of the area and made great recommendations. Definitely would recommend a tour with Ian. Thanks Ian!

Best Cape Agulas Tour for solo travelers
Most tour companies for an excursion this far require double booking for solo, but not this one. I ended up being the only person scheduled as well for when I went and rather than cancelling the tour on me, they still honored it and took me along for the whole time without shortcuts. James was my tour guide and he was fantastic. We had great banter and I learned a lot about not only the history, but about different cultures and life in SA. Don't hesitate to do this one, it's a must especially if you're here by yourself.

Great drive but the key is having great weather
Mr David drove me the Cape. His explanation and the drive were great. The problem was the weather was trash. You could not see anything due to cloud cover. I definitely recommend booking the drive with them but check the weather before you depart. Best to do the drive on a partly cloudy or sunny weather day

For one of the first...
For one of the first times we used Viator for a tour, our private tour of Cape Town far exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have been happier. We had just disembarked from a disappointing cruise as we missed 4 excursions from the cruiseline due to weather. Our guide, Collen Booi, was the best guide we could have had. The weather forecast was grim but he worked around the weather to make sure we were able to see all of the itinerary plus more. He was so friendly and knowledgable and we learned so much about the country and the culture. He was flexible on our pick up time and drop off and we had no issues meeting up with him after disembarking from the ship. It was truly one of the best experiences we had and Collen helped make our first time to South Africa a trip to remember.

Luhambo Tours. A Superb Day with a Custom Itinerary and Delightful Guide
A beautifully curated tour that accommodated our preferences with style and insight. We chose to tailor the day to just 2 wineries with time left for visiting both Franschhoeck and Stellenbosch. We suggested the tour company select two of their favourite wineries with a lunch at one of them and the result was a lovely blend of tasting and dining coupled with an extraordinary tour through the magnificent countryside. Oh, and great shopping to boot!
Marlene, our driver and guide, was extremely knowledgeable and polished in presenting the region to us with an insight only locals truly know.
We wished we had known that this company also offered different itineraries that included the southern cape region and the wineries that can be found there, but I was too focussed on this region to think to ask of other trip offerings that would further complement our five days in Capetown. Definitely worth doing with such a terrific offering and attention to detail.
Cedric, the owner, was extremely prompt in acknowledging our requests, and he clearly has cultivated a superb team of professionals in a boutique approach to service and knowledge.

There is hope
The history of South will be incomplete without the mention of Robben Island. From the explorer's Station to the Prison of both civil crimes and later on to Political opponents. The Island was once considered a place of no escape, but now we can talk of professional swimmers crossing over for the Good Course (charity). History can help us to be more human. The scars can be very massive and be seen from thousand miles away, but it should not be paining. And that what we call healed healers. Mandela had a big heart.

Great Tour and Not Just Because of the Food
We were very fortunate to have Justin as our host on this 4 hour history and food tour. This tour is great for a first time visitor to Cape Town and, honestly, a great tour for locals. Justin is not only passionate about food, but has an excellent way of weaving Cape Town history into the various bars and restaurants we visited. Justin is smart, friendly, engaging, and familiar with “Bush Culture” which is interesting on its own. Surprisingly, he is familiar with multiple indigenous languages, speaking names and places with authentic, nuanced “click” pronunciation.
Our tour began in the Bo Kaap neighborhood where we tasted local beer and some African must-try foods. We learned about how they came here and have morphed over time. The multiple locations each had history and great food.
This was a fantastic tour to taste and learn about Cape Town food and history. It was a good value and I highly recommend it.

Best tour and Guide
This was by far one of the BEST tours I have been on. I’ve traveled the world, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Bali, and more. Please request FAYICAL (fi-zel) he was THE BEST tour guide. Very informative and knowledgeable BUT he was so kind. It only to us but everyone around he helped out an elderly lady, he assisted someone trying to park that was having trouble and so friend to everyone. He was hands down amazing and made this tour that much better. It was a pleasure spending the day with you.

Great insightful, personnal and walkable tour !
Amazing tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide !
It is a must when visiting Cape town, so much history happened here that it is impossible to get all the information about the city and country unless you do this type of guided tour.
2 hours walk in different areas, you get to see a lot and ask questions and take pictures along the way.
Definitely recommend !

Train to Elgin Market
We joined the train in Cape Town and were allocated to our seats for the day.
It was all aboard at 8 am and we commenced on our way towards Elgin.
We had a friendly coach manager giving hints and tips as well as a chance to learn about him.
We also had a waiter who brought a variety of food and drinks for the passengers.
The market is a must see place particularly for wine and foodies.
Great way to spend a day.

Clint was an excellent...
Clint was an excellent first impression of Cape Town. He greeted me with a smile and warmness that was welcoming. I enjoyed our conversation from the airport to the hotel. He gave me tips on places to eat as well as keeping safe while navigating the city. I’d recommend Clint specifically and hope to see him again on my travels to the Mother City.
