Amazing guide , amazing tour!
This cultural city tour with Johnny was amazing! There were 8 of us and it turns out we were all on the same cruise! Before Johnny met the 8 of us , we all said why are we going to 6 markets. After the tour , our questions were answered. His knowledge, passion and wanting to help his people were simply amazing. We all felt this was a great tour and would recommend it!

An amazing experience...
An amazing experience with a fabulous guide. Sheldon had a wealth of knowledge and was always happy to answer any questions we had to ask.we were lucky enough to have him all to ourselves on this particular trip. You could tell that he truly loved his job through the enthusiasm that he showed us. A long day , but we always knew that, so prepared ourselves for it

Exceptional experience
This was definitely one the best experiences I've had in my 2.5 months in South Africa. The views were absolutely spectacular and my guide and driver Wonder, was exceptional. It is a long drive but the company had a very well maintained, clean 4x4 and Wonder was very accommodating to multiple stops along the way for toilet and snack breaks.
Highly Recommend this trip with 1st Zulu Safaris

Exceptional Staff and hospitality!
we were running a bit late, the staff kindly contacted us and did their best to give us tickets as quick as possible to make sure the boat doesn't leave us. The ride was smooth, they kindly assisted us with taking pictures etc. I would definitely recommend it! and will 100% do it again.

We had a wonderful experience exploring Durban and learning more about Ghandi’s impact on South Africa. The botanical gardens were beautiful. Our guide/driver was very prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. This was our second tour through 1st Zulu and we highly recommend them.

The Sani Pass is a beautiful experience of nature with the scenery changing around every corner. The drive through the pass was an exciting adventure and we enjoyed the visit to the village. Lunch at the highest pub was very delicious at a great price.

A Must for Exploring the Culture and Nature of KZN.
The entire experience was exceptionally well coordinated and thoughtfully engaging from start to finish. It offered the perfect balance of cultural immersion and natural exploration, allowing us to truly appreciate the unique beauty and heritage of KwaZulu-Natal.
Every detail felt intentional — from the seamless organization of activities to the warm hospitality we received along the way.
What made this trip particularly special was the extra care the operators showed. Not only did they guide us through remarkable cultural sites and breathtaking landscapes, but they also went above and beyond by assisting with transportation arrangements. Their attention to safety and comfort gave us complete peace of mind, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the journey.
Overall, it was an unforgettable trip that left us with lasting memories and a much deeper appreciation for the people, history, and environment of KZN. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone seeking a meaningful and well-curated way to explore the region.

Historical must see
If you are into British historical events then this is a must see place. Our guide/driver was well informed and provided heaps of information including listening to a audiobook of the events pre/post the battles and the battles themselves. The trip out from Durbin took four hours there and fours back on poor sealed and unsealed roads although the scenery was quite picturesque. Bringing a packed lunch and drinks is essential.

A great way to maximize our only day in Durban
This was a wonderful tour! Our tour guide Freddy was thoughtful and really wanted to make sure we had a wonderful experience. At the Nala lion sanctuary we got up close and personal with lions, and even closer with an elephant. At the Tala reserve we got to see all kinds of animals, including giraffes, rhinos, and a variety of antelope. We were in town for only one day, so this was a perfect way to view many different animals. Highly recommend this company, and our tour guide Freddy was exceptional.
