Felucca on the Nile
A late afternoon cruise on a traditional felucca is definitely a must when in Egypt.
We had the company of a wonder guide called Mido who made the experience even more memorable. Very friendly and knowledgeable, made our afternoon even more special.
Food was delicious and trying the various tea samples while cruising along the Nile added to the experience.

Great tour program to the Coptic Cairo, with an extra bonus to see Citadel of Salah El-Din
We had a great tour by this vendor during our stay in Cairo!
The tour guide came to our hotel picking us up, and brought us to visit some of the key spots in Cairo: Coptic Cairo (Old Cairo), including the Hanging Church, the Coptic Museum, and the old Roman remains. The tour guide also went beyond the original program plan, taking us to visit the Citadel of Salah El-Din, seeing the fortress and the impressive Mosque of Muhammad Ali. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and we learned a great deal of the local history from her.
The only thing I'd recommend for future improvements consideration, is before taking guests to visit some shops, ask them if they would be interested, and skip those if guests are not interested. We understand that many tourist places often including store visits as a way for revenue generation, which is fine if guests are ready to do some shopping, and it's just that the sales pressure at some of the shops reduced the fun for an otherwise excellent tour program.
Overall, this vendor and the tour guide were excellent, and worth the time and money for a day trip to the key spot of the Coptic area. The visit to the Citadel of Salah El-Din is definitely an added bonus!
Highly recommended!

Best tour ever
Michael was an amazing tour guide! This tour was taken on my actual birthday and he made sure to ensure the day was amazing. The ATV ride and the Camel ride was my favorite part. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The cruise was ssoooo much fun as well and they surprised me with cake. The tour guide is very knowledgeable (as expected since he was an Egyptologist). He was such a patient guide as well for all of the questions. I WILL take this tour again in the near future.

I had an absolute blast!...
I had an absolute blast! The Fayoum White Desert was incredible—from dune bashing and sandboarding to camel rides and checking out the waterfalls. After all that adventure, I definitely worked up an appetite, and the lunch at the Bedouin village hit the spot. So good!
Taha was an excellent guide—punctual, attentive, and very knowledgeable. He even took me to an authentic Egyptian restaurant for breakfast, and the falafel was some of the best I’ve ever had. Delicious! He’s also an amazing photographer… basically a personal paparazzi. I came away with so many Instagram-worthy photos thanks to him.
If you book through Viator, just be sure to check whether your hotel is considered “long range.” Many listings say pickup is included, but some locations may have an extra fee. Thankfully, the tour company reached out ahead of time, explained everything clearly, and offered a free pickup option at a nearby hotel. I just grabbed an Uber and saved the extra cost.
Overall, an amazing experience—highly recommend!

Well-organized tour with great guide, but weak communication and food
Overall, we were satisfied with the excursion. We were picked up from the hotel at 3:30 AM and the driver was punctual. However, until the very last moment we did not know who would pick us up or what vehicle it would be, despite asking several times — including shortly before 3:30 AM. The communication definitely needs improvement.
In Luxor, the driver welcomed us with a sign from Emo Tours Egypt. We were taken to all the scheduled places, but overall there was not enough time to truly enjoy each site.
At the restaurant, we ate the food not because it was tasty, but because we were hungry. I would honestly prefer the tour to cost €615 instead of €600, but to include a genuinely good restaurant with quality food. The waiter greeted us wearing an extremely dirty shirt, stained with food and drinks, which made a very poor impression. The only thing that was actually good was the baklava.
At the alabaster souvenir shop, we were asked $25 for a small candle holder. We did not buy anything there. Later, we bought the same items at Khan el-Khalili in Cairo for $5 each.
We are truly grateful to the driver, Hossam Al-Aqsar — a very kind and professional person — and to the Egyptologist/tour guide Mohammed El Tahibe, who explained everything in great detail.
Tip for travelers: buy your own water (it is cheap, around 10 EGP) and bring it with you. The three tombs in the Valley of the Kings are more than sufficient; the Tomb of Tutankhamun is very small and not worth it, as all artifacts are now in the Grand Egyptian Museum.

The best tour I made in...
The best tour I made in Egypt (jan. 2026). My driver Eid was patient, helpful and nice. If you read something about Saqqara and Dahshur you can definitely spare your guide. Buy the all-inclusive ticket + pyramid, and you can spend all your time in saqqara. We skipped Menphis and in Dahshur just visited the red pyramid.

Great tour of Egyptian food and local life!
We had a great time with Muhamad on our food tour. He showed us some foods that typical Egyptian families would eat and gave us an amazing tour that really gave us an idea of typical life in Cairo. We particularly loved that the tour included driving through the bazaar and through the neighborhoods that most tour guides would skip; It really gave a unique perspective on Cairo that I don't think we would have otherwise experienced. The lunch restaurant had a truly amazing view of the pyramids.
Overall, for the price and the experience, this was an excellent way to spend a day in Cairo!

Great Tour
Our guide Bishoy was absolutely amazing (professional, knowledgable, informative, kind) and this tour was a wonderful way to begin our trip to Egypt! We experienced authentic Egyptian essence perfume; learned about making paper and had our names written using ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics; shopped for jewelry and t-shirts; and visited a spice shop. We ended our tour enjoying delicious Koshary, Egypt's national dish. Many thanks to Bishoy and we absolutely recommend this tour to future travelers!

Private tour to saqqara
Great half day trip to Saqqara , Memphis etc. As it was our first day in Giza , we wanted to get Cairo pass in Giza ticket office and our guide helped us to sort that out before heading south which we appreciated their flexibility. The tour was also fantastic, going inside the pyramids was my highlight

Shops+Giza+Camel+ATV TOUR
Heba was one of the greatest tour guides I have gotten. She has made my experience here at Egypt exactly what I expected. She was very kind and informed about a lot within the city. I would highly recommend her for any visitors visiting Egypt and looking for a tour guide!

A fantastic cultural learning experience.
Our tour guide Ahmed was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The driver Sayed bravely and safely piloted us through the crazy Cairo traffic. I think the highlight of the trip was the visit to the two mosques in the citadel, along with the friendly discussion with Ahmed about the cultural and religious beliefs and practices. A wonderful learning experience. As expected, the Egyptian museum was fascinating, made even better with Ahmed’s insightful explanation of what we were seeing. The Khan el-Khalili Bazaar was interesting, but pretty much full of the Chinese mass-produced trinkets you can find at any tourist spot. The highlight here was enjoying a Turkish coffee break with Ahmad and watching the crowds go by.

One of the mosques would...
One of the mosques would not let me in because my elbows to my wrists were showing. Be sure to wear long pants and bring a jacket with hood to cover your head and arms (I did have a scarf covering my head). Otherwise, it was a great experience to get inside the different mosques and learn about the culture.
