Read a few reviews and most were positive, but a lot mentioned the time to get there, the walk and the time spent. While I'll admit it wasa drive, based in the country tlthat should be expected. It was a comfortable van and not over crowed. The walk was just that, a walk. I've walked further to my seats at a profootball game. The actual tubing was fun and they are small groups. The company 5 star was great and had a good process for making it all worth while. If you want to do something to just have fun and not complain, this is definitely for you.

Chris was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable, kind, generous and showed great respect to people and the wildlife/reef. Chris is a great example of a great guide and person and I highly recommended this tour because of him. His buddy Rick was also super cool and made the tour fun as well. Full day of fun and activites

We had a blast!! We are an extended family (3 generations) and everybody had a great time. We started off visiting hop Chan where we got to snorkel with a guide. It can be crowded with other groups but our guide did well explaining what he saw and keep the group together, even for swimmers that are not too strong.. we saw reef sharks, plenty of fish, sting rays. Then we headed off to shark alley where the sharks seem to wait for the boats to arrive and get their sardines. Got to swim with them, which was fantastic. Third stop was for turtles and the reef. Then we went to Caye caulker, got to visit the islan, have priced lunch and then back in the boat after a couple of hours. We then stopped by a location where we got to feed tarpons that literally fly out of the water to grab the sardines from your hand. Amazing to watch their speed and agility. Final stop was a place where we could see and be around sting rays in the shallow waters of caye caukjer. We got drinks, fruit snacks along the way. We even got to see manatees briefly I. The wild and 3 playful dolphins. All in all an unforgettable day trip that I would highly recommend. Thank you to all the crew who made it a great trip and even helped my wife who really wanted to snorkel but is not a strong swimmer. They made it happen for her and put a big smile on her face.

The crew (captain and...

The crew (captain and guide), were personable and fun. The day we went out it was pretty windy and the water very choppy, so we opted to only do one snorkel. It was disappointing, but not the crews fault. We did go to Bread and Butter Caye for lunch, which was prepared by the crew and was absolutely delicious. We hung out there for a couple of hours before heading back to the marina. Even with the inclement weather, one snorkeling trip is better than no snorkeling trip, and we couldn't have asked for better hosts!

The Hol Chan Marine...

The Hol Chan Marine Reserve snorkeling experience was absolutely unforgettable—hands down one of the most exciting and surreal adventures we’ve ever had. From the moment we got in the water, it felt like entering another world. The marine life was incredible—vibrant fish, coral, and crystal-clear water—but the true highlight was swimming with sharks. It sounds intimidating, but it was actually exhilarating and completely safe. Being that close to such powerful, graceful creatures in their natural habitat was something we’ll never forget. A huge shoutout to our guides, David and Edwin, who truly made the experience exceptional. They were knowledgeable, reassuring, and clearly passionate about the ocean. They made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident—especially during the shark swim—and did an amazing job pointing out wildlife we would have otherwise missed. If you’re even remotely considering this experience, do it. It’s thrilling, beautiful, and truly once-in-a-lifetime. We’re still talking about it!

A+. Fantastic from start to finish! Danny and Flip were our guides, there were nine of us total. The snorkeling itself is terrific but what really made the trip was the energy and attention of the guides. They split us into two groups and one of them was with us the entire time we were in the water. Flip pointed out every turtle, ray, fish, barracuda, excellent coral formation worth seeing with so much enthusiasm you’d think it was his first time ever leading the tour. It was just awesome. At stop 2 we fed and swam near (not too near!) the sharks, and then explored an excellent coral reef. All 9 of us…a mixture of adults and late teens…had an excellent time. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I booked this excursion as an anniversary gift and it did not disappoint. Before booking, I read multiple reviews saying that if we did not book this excursion we would be missing out. I’m SO glad we booked! Alex, Robert, and AJ were the best crew we could’ve asked for. From hotel pickup to drop out we were provided with so much information and were smiling from ear to ear. Highlights of our tour included deep sea fishing, swimming with nurse sharks and turtles, fresh conch ceviche, and a private picnic lunch. We have only compliments to give regarding this tour! Made me love snorkeling again

Chris and Camille were amazing guides. I had a bad snorkeling experience in the past but was willing to try it again. Chris made sure I felt comfortable and safe. They took us to the most beautiful spots. Chris made it a point to point out different kinds of sea life and would dive down to make sure we saw everything. We loved hearing how he was 4th generation in the business. He takes a lot of pride in his work and his customers are the benefactors.

We had a great time with...

We had a great time with the Xsite crew. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. The boat, captain, and crew were top notch. They guided us during the snorkeling portion and it was cool to be in the water while they fed the nurse sharks and other fish. The location had so much marine life. The stop at Caye Caulker was fun too. We got to feed tarpon! We highly recommend this business if you're in San Pedro.

The snorkelling tour was...

The snorkelling tour was amazing. Cant recommend enough. Nice helpful guides showing a lot of reef and fish. Unfortunately we didn’t see turtles. Boat ride is pretty bumpy so be ready for that. Also - bring sunscreen with you. There are three separate snorkelling events during this trip and it’s good to reapply the sunscreen.
