Due to the mixed reviews, we were initially a bit apprehensive about booking this tour, but it turned out to be a perfect choice. We were picked up on time and brought to the pier. The ride to Key Caulker is somewhat longish but the crew gave us life vests to sit on when they noticed we were starting to be uncomfortable. When we reached the island, we got to feed a few carpons and then placed our lunch orders. The first snorkel stop was ok. Personally, I think we would have been better off snorkeling without fins and if you have experienced snorkeling in the Carribean or the Red Sea, you will be slightly disappointed at the „coral garden“. However, the waters have an unbelievable turquoise color and it’s just amazing to be out there. Plus, the real highlight is, of course, the shark alley. I normally don’t agree with feeding wild life but shark tourism brings in a lot of revenue and therefore ensures protection of the sharks. Our group didn’t touch the animals, so I don’t have any moral qualms about going on the tour. It was simply an unbelizable experience, getting to see this many nurse sharks and especially the sting rays. I will never forget it. Overall, I think the time spent in the water was just right. We then headed back to the split for 75min of beach time… truly a stunning location. Everyone in our group seemed to be overjoyed. If I were to be nitpicky, I’d say that one slice of pineapple per person doesn’t necessarily deserve to be described as „fruits“, but it’s ok; the punch was yummy at least. The ride back was also an experience of its own…with the lowhanging clouds, it felt like we were driving straight into the heavens. I have booked hundreds of trips over the past 5 years on Viator and this was one of the best. Thanks again to the entire crew.

I had a live chat with an operator on August 31st at 6pm which confirmed availability for the snorkeling tour the next morning leaving at 9am from the Fort George Hotel.
The next morning I was at the pick up spot and nobody came, nobody contacted me, nothing. The kind staff of the Hotel called for me to find out that the tour was cancelled when it was confirmed 14 hours prior. They offered immediate refund and I immediately received the email confirming the refund process but up to today I haven't received my money back yet.
overall experience was horrible and I don't recommend it!

Hello, due to minimum numbers we had no choice but to cancel, only you for that date. Sorry the inconvenience.

Disappointed that I tried to reach the tour operator several times to find out the meeting point and I got no answer today, we had a 9 AM tour we did not leave until 10. The boat was small and was packed with 33 people and was closed. It took more than 40 minutes to get there and back. The best part was the stingrays on the sharks and the coral reefs. They took us to a restaurant where I paid US$45 for food that was cold dried and tasteless. I would never do this to her again. It was very disappointing.

Hello, we acknowledge your complaint, we had left a bit later due to the group had didn't arrive for the boat to go, everyone still reach back on time, the boat is a big boat with 3 engines and licensed for 50 passengers and we did everything that the tour explained and for the food we try to go a a restaurant that can accommodate the group because not all restaurant at caye caulker do that, and sorry for that situation but we don't normally get a negative review about that restaurant so that's the reason we use them.
And if you had book the tour with other company's it would had been a way smaller boat or a boat of the same size that would been more crowded.

We were taken out to a very nice reef-our guide went a little too fast for some of us to keep up.The description of this trip says water supplied-it was tap water in baggies-ugh!We were also supposed to get rum punch-it was never offered(they had supplies on boat-never made it)We spent more time at a retaurant on one of the islands than for the whole trip-didn't want to spend that much time sitting around. The crew was very nice-I don't know what other snorkeling trips were being offered,so this would be okay if you really want to go

Mark gave excellent instructions for the snorkeling. He took us to the reef and to see the nurse sharks and stingrays and then time on Caye Caulker. We had lunch at a nice restaurant and walked around the island. It was a great day.

I booked this tour with a pick-up service from Belize city. The reservation was confirmed weeks in advance and I contacted the company to confirm the pick-up location. There was no response and then on the day of the tour I was waiting for over an hour and they didn’t turn up and still now are yet to respond. They didn’t even let me know that the tour was cancelled. The Viator customer service team were very helpful and responsive. They also tried to contact the operator of the tour but they didn’t get a response either. Viator were also able to get me a refund which was good and luckily I found another tour that day by myself. Looking at the other reviews I see this has happened to other people so I would recommend not to book this tour!

We booked this tour and we waited at the pre-arranged meeting point. No one showed up and I never received any other email aside from the original confirmation email. We called the tour company number several times, and also sent messages but did not received a single response. We finally had no choice but to walk to the departure pier trying to find a company representative, and some pier workers were nice enough to help and were able to make contact and confirm that the company had cancelled the tour, this was well over an hour after the tour was supposed to have started. the lady over the phone nonchalantly said we could reschedule for another day, unfortunately we were leaving the next day. We understand that if there weren’t enough customers it wouldn’t go, but at least have the decency to let us know. I would not trust this company again.

We were told we would be picked up at the hotel. Nobody ever showed up so we drove to the pier ourselves. Nothing! We drove back to hotel to see if somebody had shown up yet but still nobody had come. We found out the tour was cancelled when I received an email saying our money was refunded. Nobody contacted us to tell us it was cancelled. By the time we found out it was too late to book with a different place. If I could give zero stars, however, I’m happy they refunded my money without a fight! I would. This was my first time using Viator. I WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN!

Wonderful snorkeling and crew. We had a great deal of snorkeling time as well as time to have lunch and relax. They were wonderful at accommodating my spouses wheelchair. The only drawback was the lack of transportation back to the port. However it was a short walk.

This was our best snorkeling excursion of the week. Stacy and the crew knew where to look for the coral, eels, sting rays and sharks. We also visited the tarpons. Great adventure and I highly recommend!
