What are people saying about Belize

For what it is, it's good
Doesn't seem like there is an overwhelming amount of activities here to do, maybe there is and I don't know about them. But for what this one does, and what you get, and I like the guide and driver, same person but entertaining. So yeah, I think it was good

Amazing Snorkeling Experience, Do Not Miss This
If you're on the fence about booking a snorkeling trip in Belize, let this be your sign. We did the all-day adventure with Black Hawk and it genuinely exceeded every expectation.
Our guides EJ and Al were the real stars of the day. They were knowledgeable, attentive, fun, and clearly passionate about what they do. At Hol Chan, they guided us through and pointed out marine life we absolutely would have missed on our own. Thanks to their patience, we even spotted a manatee! One of those moments you just can't plan for but never forget.
They didn't just take us to beautiful spots, they taught us about what we were actually seeing. We left feeling like we learned something, not just floated around and got a tan (though we got that too).
Kelvin helped us get geared up at the start and made sure everything fit properly, which made a huge difference in how comfortable we were in the water all day.
The food was delicious and the portions were generous , exactly what you need after a full day in the water.
The whole operation felt well-run from start to finish. If you want a snorkeling experience that's equal parts adventure and education, with guides who actually care about your experience, book Black Hawk.
EJ, Al, and Kelvin, you made our trip. Thank you!

This experience was...
This experience was really nice and I totally recommend.
I felt we didn’t really know the planning for the day so here is a big overview:
- you will take a bus to Xunantunich (15min drive) and visit the site for about 2h
- you will then go on another drive for 1h30 to the caves
- once there, you will have lunch (homemade lunch, really nice), be able to change into swimsuits and leave for the caves (be sure to take water shoes and a t shirt that can go into water)
- you will walk for about 25min with a tube both in forest and water and then go in the tube once in the cave
- the cave tubbing is really nice and relaxing
- then you go back to the changing rooms before jumping in the bus for the way back
I didnt really know that before doing the tour but don’t forget walking shoes for Xunantunich visit (with sun cream) and water shoes and another t shirt for the cave tubing (shoes that you are confortable walking with and that can go into water).
Enjoy !!

The tour was excellent. ...
The tour was excellent. The guide was knowledgeable, and worked to keep us ahead of the crowds going into the cave so that we weren't caught up in a bottleneck. I would highly recommend Maya Walk Tours again, and intend to use them on other excursions in the area.

Blue Hole Birthday Tour
The Blue Hole tour was amazing, and the crew took the experience to another level.
It was a bucket list birthday gift to myself, and it lived up to my expectations.
The crew was amazing, they made everyone comfortable like you are part of the family.

Most amazing day!
This was an amazing day with a mix of laid back vibes on the pontoon boat to cool adventures like climbing up a waterfall.
The guides made the day- I’m a 57 year old woman who is not adventurous. The guides never left my side as we we swim, climbed and even got me to swing off a rope into the water.
Lunch was delicious and plentiful.
I loved this day even more than I thought I would.

10/10 recommend - lots of history and wild life plus homemade food!
My partner and I had an unforgettable experience on the river and ruins tour with Ian. Ian spotted so much wildlife along the river which really got us excited and he was knowledgeable of the history of the area which made the ruins tour very interesting. There is also an enjoyable museum at the Lamanai site. The lunch was homemade from Ian's mother and it was delicious. The whole process was seamless even though we were traveling via van and boat. There were bathrooms at every location as well. Every person we encountered was kind. The car ride back to the hotel rocked us to sleep so the nap was a nice addition to the trip haha. We loved the experience and definitely recommend it to folks interested in nature, wildlife, and Mayan history.

Great Experience
Our driver was very polite, funny, and great conversation. Got us from point A to B without any issues with plenty of time to spare. Sometimes they pick you up in a van and sometimes it’s similar to an Uber/Lyft ride, but it’s safe and easy from the point of your arrival at the airport. They are always there waiting for you with a sign and a ride ready to go within minutes. Communication is also excellent and if your flight is delayed they are on top of it. I have used this service a few times now in Belize and it has always been a delightful experience.

Great tour!
We really enjoyed this tour. It is about an 11-hour tour but the guide we had was very good and made the Tikal experience amazing. He had a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm for the area. He was very attentive to the variety of people in our group and abilities.
As others have noted, make sure you bring snacks, comfortable shoes, and anything needed for heat and humidity. The lunch on the way home was AMAZING.
Just be prepared for an 11 hour day, but you will enjoy it!

Awesome experience! Maybe...
Awesome experience! Maybe an hour longer than it needs to be. Hol Chan and shark ray alley are awesome. The boat crew were amazing - very attentive. The food was good. The drinks were flowing (we didn’t drink much, but others did). The seats were a bit wet but it rained that morning so maybe that’s why. If they included towels that would be amazing, but bring your own towels!

We all really enjoyed...
We all really enjoyed cave tubing. Wasn't too sure what to expect, but so glad we did it. It's about an hour's drive from the cruise port. The walk through the rainforest and gentle trip through the caves on our tubes with helpful and knowledgeable guides was amazing and unlike anything else we experienced during our cruise. Highly recommended.

Take this tour with Percy!
Percy was an amazing guide! He took the time to explain the history of Altun Ha and the country of Belize as well. The ruins themselves are impressive and you can feel the history of the site. The Belize sign was just a great photo opportunity! And the Travelers Rum Factory was a good time, plus interesting to see the bottle production through the viewing window. We did pay extra to add ziplining to our tour, but this was amazing. The guides Manuel and Wilfredo (Fred) were fun patient with us 2 scared ladies. Again, Percy was awesome and it was a fantastic tour!
