We booked this tour that included the guide. Our guide was Oliver Lin and he was a great guide. He took us to the Mutianyu side and I think it was the best choice. As He drove us, he gave us history about the Great Wall and he walked us through the entrance and got us to the entrance of the wall. After that, we had all the time to explore the wall ourselves. Come prepared with questions, he will have all the answers. I definitely recommend this tour and location for your next adventure.

Amazing tour with an amazing guide

I can’t express enough how great this tour was! Lucy was amazing! The entrance to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City can be quite a long wait, but Lucy made things happen whenever she could to help us get through the queue. Once you’re in, it’s game on! She provided Bluetooth headphones so we could hear her clearly despite all the background noise, which was a huge help because the place is very busy. She was extremely knowledgeable and shared interesting information throughout each section. She also made sure no one was left behind whenever the group got separated, which happened a few times with the crowds. The lunch buffet before heading to the Great Wall was also a nice touch and really picked me up before all that walking and climbing! Lucy also made an effort to connect with everyone in the group at some point during the tour, which I thought was really cool and made the experience feel more personal. And finally, I was surprised to find out she even knew a little about American football! I told her my hometown and she knew the team. Great experience, great guide, and an amazing day overall. I’d highly recommend this tour and Lucy!

A memorable and exciting fay for me!

We were able to get checked by security fairly quickly. Our guide, Mary, kept us entertained by lots of fun stories, facts and important historical dates. She reviewed this information throughout the day to help us make the connections with what we were seeing within the walls of the Forbidden City. It was a lovely morning and at the end of the tour, Mary pointed me in the right direction to walk to the top of Jingshan Hill (opposite north exit) and also gave me recommendations for lunch. A memorable and exciting day for me! Can't wait to choose another fascinating tour!

OMG!! What can I say? I’ve waited to see this most of my life. For me it is the top of my bucket list. So being paired with my guide Serena was a blessing. She has encyclopedic knowledge about Chinese history and she taught me how the past culminated in the unification of China under the first emperor. Walking with her through the exhibits was like being transported back in time… the trip was an emotional experience for me as she brought the past to life. Please ask for her when you book. The company administrator, Cathy, went above and beyond filling all my requests quickly and generously. I highly recommend this tour. Fantastic Tour with Excellent Guides & Driver

David was an amazing tour guide and person while touring the city sites of Beijing. He led us to the different areas providing us the background. He also took us shopping to a mall before taking us to see the wonderful acrobatic show (a must). He ensured the driver was waiting for us outside the theater to take us to our hotel. We accidentally left a piece of carry-on on the plane and had to deal with various areas at the airport (eventually lost & found). David contacted the Beijing Airport Lost and Found Department and helped locate our baggage and had it shipped to our hotel. He continually monitored the situation to ensure we received it. Unbelievable service and caring! Keith was a great guide showing us the Great Wall, Summer Palace and stadium. He provided us with a concise explanation of the various sites as he led us through them. We had excellent Chinese lunches both days. A great tour led by wonderful guides gave us a memorable experience. You cannot go wrong with this tour.
