Beijing In A Day

Fantastic tour that covers all the main spots in one day, perfect if you're short on time or don't want to go through the hassle of managing tickets transportation and navigation. Maggie was great, keeping the tour moving and on time - there are your usual tourist traps like the jade shop or tea store but nothing that you can't enjoy. Just be mindful that if you like to take pictures or explore at a leisurely pace then this is not for you, maximum free time in spots was ten to fifteen minutes. Which I personally preferred. Also if you really want to do the toboggan ride (given you don't want to do a lot of hiking on the actual great wall) then voice it, the usual strategy by guides is to make it seem there will be a two hour line to dissuade anyone interested but in September on a Saturday it took me forty minutes and was worth it, didn't want to do much hiking on the wall itself anyway but had enough time to first explore it a bit and take pictures before the ride down. Also recommend to get off at the closest drop off point to Wangfujing street and walk there, the pedestrian street is a vibe in itself on Saturday night and you can walk and enjoy the whole strip, grab dinner and easily call a DiDi or take the subway back to your hotel, pro tip is to sleep on the way back from the great wall so you're rested enough.

Unforgettable experience at the Great Wall!

An unforgettably wonderful experience seeing and hiking a majestic portion of the Great Wall with our amazing guide Sandy! In addition to hiking a beautiful portion of the Great Wall, we were able to experience a wonderful Tea tasting and ceremony which was great, had an authentic local lunch and do some authentic Jade shopping. Note: while theoretically possible for someone with limited mobility it would be extremely challenging. I ended up doing hotel pick up and airport drop off, while they kept my bags in the car. An extremely convenient option on my last day in China. So happy I went!

Best tour in China!

One of my favorite trips ever, Erica was amazing, we would have never experience Beijing in the same way with out her. Knowledgeable, friendly and very flexible throughout the tours made our visits incredible. The car was very comfortable, which was especially great for the long drives, driver was courteous and efficient. The food was a great taste of different items and a perfect break to the day. This was an excellent tour and much more comprehensive than expected. Sally, our excellent guide, was very knowledgable and entertaining. She guided us through the various security checks, explained the history of the places we visited, told us many stories and was an absolute delight. Another thing we liked was being on a small group tour - there were 10 of us. It felt much more personal.

Lucy is a wonderful guide. She was on top of things with communication. She gave us plenty of historical insight into Beijing and the Great Wall to give us a sense of what we’re experiencing. Bring your passport!! Security for this tour, specifically Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City were stricter than any airport I’ve ever been through. No tour changes that so be prepared and travel light. Bags are VERY thoroughly searched. Our tour guide, Mary, was knowledgeable and made it possible for us to see so many sights in one day. If you only have two days in Beijing as we did, book this tour!

A must-do trip to visit the Great Wall

A friend of mine recommended this tour as I wasn’t disappointed. The booking process was simple and the pick up was simple and on time. You’re sent clear instructions about the pick up the day before. They were also able to fulfil my request to sit at the front of the van which was great. The Great Wall is amazing and you’ve got enough time to explore the wall yourself. I booked the tour with the cable car - recommended - and there is the option of the toboggan down but I chose the cable car. Lunch is included and it was very good feed with plenty of it. The Summer Palace was crowded (to be expected at this time of year) but really interesting and it was a good tour. Keith, our guide, was friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. He made sure we were safe and had the best experience during the trip. I’d highly recommend this trip.
