Great tour with Thierry… first half was Normandy beaches and cemetery, second half followed “easy” company to many sites which overlord has exclusive access only. T is very knowledgeable and thorough and a great guide (and driver). Incredible to see and be at places with history. He has old photos of the troops at the exact spots you visit. Timely pickup and drop off (8:20-5:20).

Wonderful tour guide Lucile who was very knowledgeable about WW2 history! She made it come alive with all the stories she told of all the countries/people involved! The tour was wonderful, very complete, and the guide also made the effort to speak to us in Spanish, which we greatly appreciated. She also took us to the German cemetery, which was not originally included in the itinerary, because we were very interested in seeing it. She was delightful at all times, especially when she kindly offered to take family photos for us. We had a wonderful day — a totally recommendable experience.

Magnificent Mont Ste Michel

We had a marvelous time. Our guide, July or rather Juliet, I believe, was absolutely spectacular. She picked us promptly at 8:00, expertly drove us thru the beautiful French countryside to Mont Ste Michel. Which is much more magnificent in person than any picture could ever capture. July expertly informed us about the history of the Abbey & village from it's inception to modern time. Explaining how this marvel was built and the history surrounding the various changes to it over time. She had the added duty of guiding me up and down the various levels, as I have a bad hip. She kindly did so with much care for me and my not so young anymore, companions. The place itself was truly great but her compassionate and very pleasant demeanor made for a most memorable experience. We’ve traveled the world and she is one of the most pleasant & best informed guides we’ve ever had.

We did half day tour as did not have much time in Normandy . Our guide (sorry can not remember his name ) was friendly and very knowledgable about the beaches . It was a great afternoon . Would def recommend . Driver/guide went above and beyond As we were the only 2 on tour . He even stopped at the commonwealth war cemetery for us . Which was a nice extra not on itinerary.

Trip to Normandy is Very Worthwhile!

We rented a car in Paris and drove to Bayeaux, where our tour group met. It was about a three hour drive, but the highway is modern, mostly flat and straight. In Bayeaux, our guide, Philippe, drove our small group to Sword Beach (British sector) and to Omaha Beach (American sector). Philippe spoke good English, but his French accent gave his presentation an air of authenticity. Philippe was very knowledgeable about the events leading up to and on June 6, 1944. But he went beyond that, and as we visited the American cemetery atop the cliffs, he shared many stories that reflected the human side of the German, American and French elements that came together during those days. As a retired History teacher, I had high expectations for this tour, and those expectations were well met. Highly recommend!

Outstanding Tour

Fantastic tour…Helene, our guide for the day was amazing! She was so knowledgeable, happy, and enthusiastic about giving us a very comprehensive account of all the happenings on 6 June 1944! Our visit to Ste Mere-Église, Ponte du Hoc, the Landing Beaches - Utah and Omaha, and to the American Cemetery were all quite moving as we relived the landings and all that our Boys (US), not to forget the Brits and Canadians who landed at Gold, Juno and Sword (we did not visit these 3 beaches on this tour) went through just trying to make it ashore and capture the beachhead for follow on troops…WOW! Highly recommend this tour and if you get Helene as your guide, well you are lucky…she is great!

Unbelievable Experience in Normandy!

Our day touring Normandy with Raphaelle was absolutely unforgettable! She was extremely pleasant, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing historical insights along with personal and unique stories that truly brought the sites to life. She went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything on our list, even staying past our scheduled time (due to traffic)so nothing was missed. We had 4 children in our group, and she was wonderful with them, speaking to them at their level, keeping them engaged, and making the experience exciting for all ages. Her passion for the region and dedication to her guests shone through in every moment. We could not have asked for a better guide and highly recommend her to anyone visiting Normandy.
