Patrick is an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgeable with a deep knowledge of history from roman times to now and does a great job of showing the interesting sights in the gothic quarter while weaving in the significance of the different eras, including today. Both myself and my 14 year old loved it.

The walking tour with Patrick was great as an introduction to the city shortly after our arrival. My husband and I have never been to Barcelona. Patrick was informative and helpful. If you're interested in the history of Barcelona and how that greatly influenced and shaped current day Barcelona, then this tour is for you. And if you would like to hear the background, in other words the "rest of the story", then one would need a person to guide them that has that historical context, a grasp on the difference between folklore and fact, with the ability to express it in easy to understand English, than Patrick, our tour guide, is a must. A gifted conversationalist that encourages questions who was able to answer all of ours. One of the better tours we've ever taken and a large part of that assessment was due to Patrick's sageness and adroit presentation.

Make sure you know the duration of the tour as it is confusing in the Viator description. The guide had plenty of material for 2 1/2 hours, but we only had 1 3/4 hours of time.

Really amazing history tour of Barcelona and the gothic quarter. Our family of 7 had a great time touring Las Ramblas area with Patrick. He was very knowledgeable about the area and we learned so much during this 2-2.5 hour tour. We did take our kids 7, 9 and 11, and they definitely lost steam toward the end. He was really great with the kids, too. We enjoyed doing this at the start of our trip so we knew more about the area as we walked around during that week. He also made great recommendations of food spots we pinned along the way and returned to. He was a great tour guide.

I really enjoyed this tour. Patrick our tour guide (although long winded) was really good. Not only knowledgable - but passionate. I learned a lot on this tour, saw all the sights in the Gothic Quarter and really recived a glimpse into hour the community runs. This is a great tour for people that don't just want the main attractions, but a deep understanding of the culture of the virbrant city.
In my opinion, a good tour guide interacts with the entire group - which is something Patrick did right from the begining.
I would 100% recommend this tour and the tour guide.
