The view is spectacular! A fairly easy trek if you’re used to hiking. The guide was friendly and informative, and adjusted the speed and challenge to fit a quicker pace. He also was a great photographer! Wear comfortable walking shoes that can get dusty and dirty. Dress in layers that you can shed as the temperature increases throughout the morning.

We had a fantastic experience on our Mount Batur sunrise tour! A huge thank you to our guide, Yus, and our driver, Indra, for making the experience so enjoyable and memorable. Yus was a brilliant guide throughout the hike, friendly, helpful and encouraging. He made sure we were comfortable and looked after along the way, making the early morning climb a really enjoyable experience. Our driver, Indra, was equally fantastic. He was friendly, professional and made the journey smooth and stress-free. Watching the sunrise from the top of Mount Batur was an unforgettable experience and definitely one of the highlights of our time in Bali. We would highly recommend this tour, especially with Yus as your guide and Indra as your driver. Thank you both for such a wonderful experience!

We spent a pleasant day with our driver Surya. He helped us discover the Ubud region. He took great care of us and played the role of photographer to immortalize all these moments. He is a cautious driver given the traffic and the roads in the region. I highly recommend this activity and especially Surya as a driver.

Great experience, stuning views. Good communication with the tour organizer and the driver. The guide didn't talk a lot but was well prepared -- he even had crampons which made the decent in the slippery terrain much easier and faster. To improve: despite my suggestion to start later (I have extensive experience in the mountains), the organizer was not open to my feedback and insisted on starting the hike around 11pm. We ended up having multiple smaller breaks and a 2:15-long bivy at 2500m -- the actual hike time on the way up was less than 4 hours. On the positive side, the guide made a campfire which turned it into a nice experience.

We had a last day to spend in Bali between our 11am hotel check-out and our late night 11:30pm flight back to Sydney and had spent most of our time in Ubud so wanted to see a bit of the south and in particular Uluwatu temple. We hired a drive/guide for the day and Aris was our driver. He was excellent!! We didn’t really know what we wanted to do other than to see the Uluwatu temple and Aris made a few recommendations of things to see on the way and told us all kinds of interesting things about Bali and the culture which we really enjoyed and was lacking from a previous half day “tour” we had taken around Ubud. It was a great way to spend our last day and while there was a bit of traffic and took us probably 3 hrs to get from our Ubud hotel to the Uluwatu temple I didn’t seem that long because we broke it up with a couple stops that Aris recommended and had great conversation with him where he answered all our questions and pointed out interesting things along the way. I would 100% recommend Aris to anyone that wants a driver for either just transport around the island or a half or full day tour. He was wonderful to talk to and took very good care of us including accompanying us into the temple to tell us about the site and importantly “protecting” us from the monkeys that like to steal things from the tourists.

Our driver Tom (Badboy) showed us all the beautiful beaches and spots of Nusa Penida. Especially Diamond beach was our preference, what a beautiful piece of creation by mother nature. The roads are a bit bad, but our managed to avoid most of the potholes and bad parts of the road like a forest.

It crazy how I had so much fun with the guys there. My adrenaline was so high I’d gotten nauseous lol. The guys gave me a birthday shoutout and we had great time on the swings. Loui, was my fly guy and he kept my momentum going and help peddle the sky-bike with me. Such great energy here. I mean, it was so hot I damn near collapsed smh. There are many stairs throughout the courses though I realized how out-of shape I really am. Nevertheless, my experience with these guys/ girls were fantastic. I went on a Monday so it wasn’t crowded and there was no rushing. Great overall experience.

Our private tour of North Bali was a very good experience. Keep in mind that if you really want to see all attractions on the list, you will have to leave very early in the morning, return quite late in the evening and spend most of your day in the car. It is a matter of distances and to some extent traffic. I would suggest customizing the itinerary to your schedule, available time (back for dinner?) and expectations. In our case, removing a couple of stops from the list was not a problem as we had been to Bali before. Our driver and guide Dewa turned out to be very informative, pleasant and flexible. He spoke good, clear English, drove safely and maintained good communication lines with us on WhatsApp before the tour. His car was clean and comfy. Overall, I would highly recommend both the tour and Dewa specifically.
