like all drives in bali, long; but worth the effort! tnx to the efforts/explanations of gede, our guide, all went well! the jatiluwih rice terraces are amazingly extensive...they give an amazingly organized view to the landscape! the ulandanu, luhur batakaru and tanah lot temples each have their unique setting/beauty. a great experience!

We had a last day to spend in Bali between our 11am hotel check-out and our late night 11:30pm flight back to Sydney and had spent most of our time in Ubud so wanted to see a bit of the south and in particular Uluwatu temple. We hired a drive/guide for the day and Aris was our driver. He was excellent!! We didn’t really know what we wanted to do other than to see the Uluwatu temple and Aris made a few recommendations of things to see on the way and told us all kinds of interesting things about Bali and the culture which we really enjoyed and was lacking from a previous half day “tour” we had taken around Ubud. It was a great way to spend our last day and while there was a bit of traffic and took us probably 3 hrs to get from our Ubud hotel to the Uluwatu temple I didn’t seem that long because we broke it up with a couple stops that Aris recommended and had great conversation with him where he answered all our questions and pointed out interesting things along the way. I would 100% recommend Aris to anyone that wants a driver for either just transport around the island or a half or full day tour. He was wonderful to talk to and took very good care of us including accompanying us into the temple to tell us about the site and importantly “protecting” us from the monkeys that like to steal things from the tourists.

Our Mount Batur sunrise trek with Bagas Bali Sunrise Trek was genuinely one of the most memorable experiences of our lives, and so much of that was because of our incredible private guide, Dul. From the moment we started hiking in complete darkness at 3:30 AM, Dul made us feel completely comfortable and safe. He gave us lights, guided us carefully through the volcanic terrain and ash, and somehow knew exactly when to let us keep going and when we needed a little break. There was absolutely no pressure to move faster. He was patient, encouraging, and happy to let us experience the mountain entirely at our own pace. Reaching the summit before sunrise was already surreal, but Dul made it even more special. He prepared breakfast and coffee for us while we watched the sky change over Bali, and then gave us all the time in the world to just enjoy it. We flew our drone, used our GoPro, took what felt like a million photos and videos, and never once felt rushed. But what I’ll remember most isn’t just the sunrise or the incredible views — it’s how genuinely kind Dul was. He is such a sweet, warm person and you can tell that he truly cares about the people he guides. He wasn’t simply taking us up and down a mountain; he was helping us have an experience we would remember forever. And we absolutely will. This hike became a core memory for us — one of those experiences we know we’ll still be talking about years from now. Watching the sunrise from the top of Mount Batur after climbing there together in the dark was truly magical, and having Dul there made it even better. If you’re coming to Bali and considering the Mount Batur sunrise trek, DO IT. And if you book with Bagas Bali Sunrise Trek, ask for Dul. We cannot recommend him enough. My wife and I went on this tour and got to see so many different areas and highlights of the Ubud area. Our private driver and guide, Sakha, picked us up right on time. He gave us excellent information about all of the places we visited and took so many incredible photos of us throughout the day. The tour never seemed rushed and even though we started at 9am, none of the stops were too busy. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see the Ubud highlights at your own pace. Ask for Sakha. He was an excellent driver and guide!

My partner and I had three days in Sidemen, and we're glad we spent our first morning doing this tour. Aside from the pretty views, it also gave us a bit of context about the region, which was good to have as we explored the area more in the following days. This walk is different from the 'rice terrace walk' nearby, as the guide takes you through the rice paddies and different areas. We would recommend this tour for other visitors.

as a solo traveler, you never know what type of experience you’ll get. I had an amazing time with Kadek as my driver. He took care of me and made sure I got as many pics and videos as I wanted. The ride was comfortable besides bumpy roads, having AC was amazing, and I got stay at each spot for as long as I wanted. I would definitely book again and highly recommend. Communication was great from the day before about meeting points and the plan for the day.

Maanwiss absolutely made our trip. From the moment we arrived, he made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging throughout the entire hike. My father is 62 years old, and we honestly weren’t sure he was going to make it to the top. But Maanwiss was determined to do whatever it took to help him experience the sunrise. He motivated both of us the whole way up and, for the last 15% of the climb, literally helped me push and carry my dad to the summit. That level of care and dedication is something you rarely come across. Thanks to him, I got to experience one of the most beautiful sunrises of my life with my dad. We’ll never forget it.

Our private tour of North Bali was a very good experience. Keep in mind that if you really want to see all attractions on the list, you will have to leave very early in the morning, return quite late in the evening and spend most of your day in the car. It is a matter of distances and to some extent traffic. I would suggest customizing the itinerary to your schedule, available time (back for dinner?) and expectations. In our case, removing a couple of stops from the list was not a problem as we had been to Bali before. Our driver and guide Dewa turned out to be very informative, pleasant and flexible. He spoke good, clear English, drove safely and maintained good communication lines with us on WhatsApp before the tour. His car was clean and comfy. Overall, I would highly recommend both the tour and Dewa specifically.
