Overview

Sunrise on Mt. Batur is a magical experience but, even from Ubud, it requires a very early start. Sleep in that little bit longer when you book a private trek, with breakfast on the mountain included and 2-way transfers from your Ubud villa or hotel. On your way back to Ubud, stop for a morning dip in your choice of Kanto Lampo Waterfall or Tibumana Waterfall.

We had an amazing day. The view was spectacular despite it being cloudy. Our driver/guide Rapa was excellent, very polite and safely got us to every stop. He even led us watch the champions league final in his phone! Agum was a very good guide who took us to the top and back. He was very patient, made a great breakfast and told us about the local language, food and customs. Thanks a lot Rapa and Agum for a great day!

We’d a really lovely day on the tour. Our guide - Rapa - communicated with us lots so we knew when he’s collect us and when we’d be dropped home and was punctual. We got to the mountain and our second guide was ready and waiting. It’s a challenging but good hike. It did rain and was foggy so visibility at the top was poor but all very good. We decided not to go to the coffee plantation due to time restrictions and went straight to the waterfall. Rapa was happy to accommodate the change.

The hike is considered moderately difficult, taking about 1-2 hours to reach the summit. The terrain can be uneven and steep, especially towards the top.

Absolutely magnificent!!! What an experience I highly recommend this tour The hike is a little challenging I took the motorcycle option from half way to the top That experience was also fantastic!!! Take some $ just incase ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bagonk was a great driver and got us safely to our locations. The mountain hike was amazing and well worth the early start. Kam was our mountain guide and did a great job at navigating us up the mountain.

Gede our guide up the mountain, was very helpful, let us rest when we needed but he was also fun and nice man. It was challenging but fun, we had a great time. And the view from the top was amazing.

What they don't tell you in the sales pitch is, you will be hiking up the mountain as jeeps and motorbikes go flying past you, almost hitting you and blowing exhaust fumes in your face continually. There was also approximately 3000 people plus their tour guides who will hike the mountain at the same time as you so it won't be a peaceful hike, and there will always be someone within 30cm's off you or falling on you for the slippery parts of the track. The breakfast included is a chocolate bar, banana sandwich and boiled egg (that is not actually boiled). And when you finally get to the top, if your wanting to sit peacefully and watch the sunrise (like you paid for) forget it. We had 2 separate tour guides tell us we were not able to just sit on the mountain and watch the sunrise. Unless we were taking selfies or instagram photos, we needed to move. By the second we got up and moved and surprise, no one went there to take photos. The tour guides ran around saying 'photo' 'photo' and trying to get people to take photos. Most declined. They were very pushy and rude. The top of the mountain is also quiet vast, there was plenty of room for everyone to sit/stand and take their own photos but the morning was ruined by the tour guides running around being rude and pushy and trying to force you to buy bracelets, chocolate bars or soft drinks. When I told our tour guide that we were told to move and didn't even get to see the sunrise because of the other tour guides, he said sorry and that was all. The waterfall tour and coffee plantation afterwards was lovely and really enjoyable. The locals were friendly and the coffee was amazing. But I would not recommend the hike if you are going to Bali. If we had of known, we would of just done the waterfall and coffee tour.

It was a well organised trip to mount Batur. My driver JRo was amazing. He arrived at my hotel early and messaged to let me know he was already here. Super safe driver. The trek up the mountain was tough but was worth it! The sunrise was beautiful and the views were stunning. Our guide was good and really helped a couple of the girls who were struggling on the tour. There are a lot of your groups doing the exercise on so it can get busy but it’s worth it! JRo then took me a coffee plantation, which wasn’t my cup of tea! It was then followed by the Kanto lampo waterfall. He was very sweet and took photos and videos for me there as I was the only person on the tour. Overall, it was a great trip and would highly recommend. JRo - thanks for driving me around. You were great!

This is an experience that you do not want to miss. We had a wonderful time. The hike isnt for the faint of heart, but itll e well worth it once you reach the top. The guides are patient and helpful, Our tour guies were Putu and Buana. We all recommend this company.
