Overview
The USS Liberty Wreck, a World War II transport ship that rests on the seabed near Tulamben, is a favorite Bali dive destination. But you don’t need to spend the night in Amed or Tulamben to experience it. This convenient private package gets you there with 2-way hotel transfers from Ubud and much of south Bali (if option selected), an Indonesian lunch, and two dives with a guide.

What a breath taking experience!!
Worth the long drive to this!!
The dive team were great. We pay for a dive instructor as we were beginners and it was worth the extra. My dive instructor was very helpful and patient with me and made sure I was comfortable and ready to go further down. He showed me everything there was to see and stayed with me the whole time as he knew I was nervous. But was amazing and would book this again!

I wish I had remembered our diving instructor's name so I could recommend him but my husband and I did this dive on 05/03/26. The diver was so knowledgeable and made is feel welcome and safe at all times. We couldn't believe how he held onto us the entire time that we dove (first session was 25 minutes, the second session was 45 minutes). He was the best diver I have ever met, having an experience of 35 years. He also took incredible photos and videos. I would recommend him to anybody who wants to dive but are scared. Our driver Yudi also was amazing. He drove us for about 8 hours the entire day and was still energetic! We made sure to get his phone number so we can recommend him to any friends we have who want to go to Bali. I sincerely hope this establishment keeps Yudi the driver and the diver with the 35 years of experience who speaks English and Chinese. They were the perfect team and was the best part of our trip to Bali!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR IF YOU ARE STAYING IN: Seminyak, Canggu, Nusa Dua, Uluwatu, Ubud, or anywhere that requires more than 1 hour of travel.
Don’t get me wrong — the diving itself is excellent, but losing an entire day to travel to and from Tulamben for just 2 dives is not worth it. It takes 3.5 hours to get there and 4 hours to return due to traffic. If you’re already in Tulamben, then this tour is totally worth it!
Otherwise, just don’t. To make matters worse, the driver was impatient, and although the instructor was friendly and helped me throughout the dive, his English was poor. He did take great photos and videos, which was the highlight of the experience.
In short, the diving is great! But only if you’re planning to stay a few days in Tulamben. Hope this helps.

Diving experience was wonderful. I flew into Bali the night before late and was able to secure a spot for the next morning. The driver picked me up at my hotel in Kuta and took me to the dive site and brought me back. What a trooper! They made sure I was fed and had the dive camera available if I needed one. All equipment provided and you can’t beat the experience diving in a beautiful place. I would definitely recommend and can take you to other notable points of interest. Thank you for the experience!

Really friendly team and really enjoyed both dives despite the water apparently being a bit more cloudy than usual. Pickup was perfect and my driver Septa was lovely and nice to talk to on the drive. I paid 500k for the photos as I was there by myself and wanted a memory, but I think the price is a bit high for what you get , 400k is more reasonable I feel. Lunch was also provided and I thought it was really tasty. All in all a good full day which doesn't leave you feeling too wiped out, even when driving to and from the south

Great dive but an even better dive master. I felt comfortable the entire dive. Entering and exiting the dive site was extremely challenging, I don’t think I could have done it alone.

Pros
Instructor was amazing, patient, and held onto me the whole time as I've been Scuba diving before but my fear is losing the instructor lol. He never left, pointed out many things, and the shipwreck was breathtaking! Meal afterwards was delicious and flavorful. Instructor was thorough and did not rush us into the water until we were comfortable in the shallow end to go deeper. He constantly checked on us making sure we were OK while under water and let us adjust accordingly if we weren't. My favorite part is not having to take a boat, its literally by the shore but you still go out deep!
Cons
My complaints are I wish we were told photography and video costs more and the price listed as we didn't have that much money on us to pay for it being it was cash only and 500k! Walking to the beach, we should be able to wear regular shoes as me and my wife hurt our feet on the rocks going down. The swimwear is torn horribly and needs replacing. I only seen the top of the shipwreck, I wish we would have went deeper and really seen it more thoroughly. The driver drove so erratic it made me sick.

A bloody awesome day my guide Sakha Arri was very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable of the fish and the Liberty wreck , the other workers were very friendly and they transported all the equipment to the dive sites very easy thanks everyone i would highly recommend this great experience.

Awesome experience at sea coral and ship wreck. Food was lovely and was guided by oles/oleg. He was lovely and extremely professional and stood by myside the entire time. Was worth it

We absolutely loved our scuba trip!! We had a mix of certified and brand new divers, but the team made sure everyone had a great experience. The first dive was more practice but we saw lots of fish and even an octopus! The ship wreck was gorgeous and we saw a turtle inside! Our guides were really fun and made sure everyone had a fun, comfortable experience. Photos/videos were additional but worth it. Lunch was tasty but only given after the diving so I recommend eating a breakfast or snack before.

Our driver Septa was right on time to pick us up in Ubud. The drive to the dive site was 2 hr and 15 min. We were greeted by our Dive Instructor who refreshed us with the dive hand signals. I was a little nervous since it’s been 5 years since my last dive but our instructor reassured me. I liked that our group size was just my husband and myself with the dive instructor. The weather at the time was raining and I didn’t think the waters would be clear enough to see but it was good. Our instructor helped us slowly get to the bottom around 20 meters. The shipwreck was cool and so were the fish and critter life of turtles, octopus and trumpet fish.

Great experience. Was picked up from my hotel for a long drive with a pleasant driver. My scuba guide was great and spoke very good English. I was then made a really nice lunch of fried rice with egg which was delicious.

The scuba operator was very professional and kept a close eye on us. Shipwreck was a nice dive but let me warn you. The scuba diving is shore diving with large rocks on the beach and in the water. So not a easy dive to get in and out of the water.

We were pick up on time from our hotel. It was a relatively long drive from Sanur. However, we were able to see the countryside of Bali. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner and staff at Wayan dive center. We were fitted with our gears and walked down to the dive site. The staff carried all of the equipment for us. Our first dive was at the Coral Garden, which was an easy dive. There were many underwater statues around the area for reel building project, which was nice to see. We also found several crown fishes (Nemo) around the soft corals. After a brief break, we proceeded with our second dive at the USAT Liberty. It was a large wreck and has been underwater for many years. There were a lot of marine life surrounding the ship. We luckily saw a large turtle munching on the sea grass. Overall, Wayan has a good dive operation. The staff was friendly and professional. The lunch afterwards was cook to order, which was delicious! They also have good shower and changing facilities. I highly recommend this dive company because of their professionalism and competitive pricing.

Excellent dive master and took great care with us and it was really appreciated, only down side for me was the rocks and pebbles to get to the water - but I have problems with my feet anyway but that was my only downside, apart from that my daughter and I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it!

Warning!. Do not use this operator. After paying for the trip a confimation mail was received clearly stating that pickup service was include. Place and pickup time was stated. Yet no pickup showed up. Big disappointment.

The kids liked it and instructor said he took kids to more places than on the contract which I trust. But he pressured kids to buy pictures for 600k and 2 tshirt for 150 each which is American price. Then at night he came to my hotel room hinting for tips. I would have given tips if not for the pictures and tshirt buying
