Great tour! Friendly staff that was super polite and friendly and showed us all the best stops in Nusa Penida. Very helpful in getting pictures and showing us the around the island. Lovely Trip . Our tour guide Yanika was very helpful . We were little skeptical about the trip . But from the pick up from the hotel , till the time she dropped us back everything was perfect. Surprisingly , food in the island was good as well .

Stunning views

The tour was great and made better by our guide Robert (Made). He was kind, informative and funny. I would highly recommend him for nusa penida or any Bali tours. The tour itself is very long - 50 min ferry ride, 45 mins to keklingking beach, and 30 minutes to the other destinations. We got picked up around 630am and got back home around 6pm. The views are stunning. We went in November and it was very hot so wear sunscreen and drink lots of water. There are tourists all year round. We lucked out and did not get rained on but we’re told November is rainy season. June July august is very hot (the November heat was already too hot for us). The roads are very bumpy so be aware if you get motion sickness easily. keklingking beach has beautiful views but there can be a line to take pictures. Broken beach is stunning. Crystal beach is a nice spot to relax on and swim in the water. The other beaches you really can’t access the beaches as they are more dangerous. The water is very clear and the tides are strong. Would be a great place to snorkel.

Lackluster Trip with Horrible Communication From Trip Operator

I've done a few Viator trips in Bali and this was the worst. To start with, normally you get some communication from the trip operator pretty quickly confirming the details for pickup -- especially in this case where you need to take a car to the harbor, then a boat, then another car on Nusa Penida. I didn't hear anything and I had to try contacting the operator the evening before. Eventually I got a WhatsApp message from my driver for the next morning Gede. Gede was on time in the morning which was great, but once we started heading to the harbor I asked him how we'd find the guide on Nusa Penida and he had no idea. Maybe it was a language barrier, but it felt like he had no idea what type of tour we were going on and he was just taking us from point A to B. This would be fine... except we had gotten no other info about what to expect or how to find the next guide... Blindly we followed him to the harbor where he got us checked in for a fast boat.... still with no idea what we'd find on the other side. While we were on the boat about 15 minutes out from Nusa Penida I got a WhatsApp message from the Nusa Penida driver -- Finally! That's great, but it came way too late -- if I hadn't had cell reception I wouldn't have known who to look for. We met up with Wizz on Nusa Penida and he proceeded to drive us around the island. He took some good pictures for us but otherwise was only doing the bare minimum as a tour guide. All our other Viator tour guides were excited to tell us about the places we were going... Wizz just drove and snapped pictures. Each photo spot is about an hour apart and you're just driving slowly on a very bumpy small road. When you arrive, you have 15-30 minutes to take some pictures and admire the view... then back into the car for another hour. The views are nice, but I don't think it's worth it to drive around so much just to get some pictures. In hindsight, we would've preferred to just go to either Diamond Beach or Kelingking Beach and actually make the hike down to the beach and relax there for a few hours. That would've made for a MUCH nicer trip. After all the photo spots, Wizz dropped us off at the harbor and I texted Gede to let him know we'd be getting on the 3:45PM boat so he could know to expect us. I also updated him when we boarded the boat and when we were 5 minutes away from the Bali harbor. Typically Balinese drivers arrive early and are ready to go when you arrive -- in this case Gede was no where to be found when we got off the boat in Bali and when I texted him he kept replying with vague "I'm on the way".... "please stay there" messages.... We waited blindly for 30 minutes waiting for him to arrive... the whole time being begged by tons of taxi drivers to go with them. The lack of communication from Gede at this point and the whole lackluster trip had us dying to get back to our hotel. tl;dr The views are nice, but not worth the logistics. The operator did a horrible job communicating.

Great guide, amazing views

We had a great day touring Nusa Penida with our guide Asta. He was so knowledgeable, energetic and hilarious! He knew all the best spots for photos and helped us take some amazing pictures and videos. We went on a Saturday in September and the island was packed with visitors. It was crowded, hot, humid, and sweaty, but Asta kept our spirits up and helped us make the most of our trip. We had a great time learning about the island and visiting the incredible beaches.

Mission Impossible Accomplished

I had a great experience at Penida Island and all credits go to Rukun and drivers team. I picked the day of return flight to visit Penida Island. The flight time is at 5:25pm and most people will say the trip is impossible. The driver team picked me up at 5:30am to take the first fast boat ride at 7am. When we arrived to Kelingking beach, Rukun and I managed to climb down the stairs, swim, take great photos, and climb back within 90mins due to short of time. I did not ask Rukun to take this risk since climbing at high pace is extremely dangerous. Thanks Rukun for not abandoning me and still able to capture great photos of this adventure. After that we had enough time to visit Broken beach, Angel’s Billabong, and Crystal Bay before catching the fast boat at 1:30pm to get me to the airport. Kudos to the driver team to take me to those beautiful places and airport safely. I hope you all continue to maintain this level of excellent service in future. Thank you team.

One main sight. Lots of driving

We were a bit disappointed by this tour. There is about 45 minutes of driving between each stop. 3 of the 4 places were pretty unremarkable. The 1 very high up view down to a perfect beach with turquoise water was great, but it was just a quick sight/picture. If you could climb down and spend most of the day down there, I would highly recommend that but we were sick and it looks like A LOT of climbing. It was also quite hot when we did this tour (November), so that didn’t help. And speaking of hot, our drivers AC must have been broken because it was not blowing cool air. For a while we even drove with the windows down because that was better than his “ac”. Also, the fast boat broke down on the way there which wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible. Took about 30 minutes out of our trip. Could have been worse. I would recommend skipping this tour unless you think it is worth a full day to get that one great picture.

🇫🇷 Malheureusement et pour la première fois, nous avons été confronté à une incompréhension avec la plateforme Viator. Ça fait 3 ans que je passe par Viator pour réserver mes excursions sans avoir jamais rencontré de problème sauf cette fois-ci. En effet, lors de la réservation de cette excursion, nous avons choisi la formule la moins cher et lors du paiement, j’ai eu l’occasion d’écrire et sélectionner le nom de mon hôtel afin que l’on vienne nous y chercher. La veille de l’excursion vers 04:00 PM (impossible d’annuler gratuitement l’excursion), j’ai été contacté sur WhatsApp pour confirmer l’excursion et en échangeant davantage, je me rends compte qu’il y a un problème et que l’on ne viendra pas nous chercher à notre hôtel. Je propose alors des pistes de solutions (Instagram: ludwig_psk si vous souhaitez des preuves de mes dires) mais aucune de celles-ci n’est validée par mon interlocuteur. Étant donné qu’avant de partir à Bali, j’avais réservé et payé toutes mes excursions afin de partir avec le moins de cash possible, mon épouse et moi nous sommes retrouvés dans une impasse et nous n’avons pas pu réaliser, ni annuler cette excursion. ⚠️⚠️⚠️ De plus, j’ai été sur l’assistance de la plateforme de Viator le 16.07.2023 à 05:09 am pour afin des explications sur le problème de prise en charge. Nous somme le 17.07.2023 à 09h55 am (cf. Screen shoot en ma possession et pouvant m’être réclamé sur Instagram (ludwig_psk) et aucun retour de Viator ⚠️⚠️⚠️ —- 🇬🇧 Unfortunately and for the first time, we were confronted with a misunderstanding with the Viator platform. I've been going through Viator for 3 years to book my excursions without ever having encountered a problem except this time. Indeed, when booking this excursion, we chose the cheapest option and when paying, I had the opportunity to write and select the name of my hotel so that we could be picked up there. . The day before the excursion around 04:00 PM (impossible to cancel the excursion free of charge), I was contacted on WhatsApp to confirm the excursion and while discussing more, I realize that there is a problem and that we will not be picked up at our hotel. I then propose possible solutions (Instagram: ludwig_psk if you want proof of what I say) but none of these are validated by my interlocutor. Since before going to Bali, I had booked and paid for all my excursions in order to leave with as little cash as possible, my wife and I found ourselves at an impasse and we could not realize or cancel this trip. ⚠️⚠️⚠️ Also, I was on Viator platform support on 07/16/2023 at 05:09 am for explanation of the support issue. We are on 17.07.2023 at 09:55 am (cf. Screen shoot in my possession and which may have been claimed on Instagram (ludwig_psk) and no return from Viator ⚠️⚠️⚠️
