Soft-spoken Marcin (our guide) was a hidden gem himself during our tour of Warsaw. Blessed with a vast knowledge of past Polish history, he was able to convey the many conflicting bits and pieces that make up this region's past. We roamed far and wide in areas of Warsaw that, on our own, we would have never found. We truly made a new friend and came away in awe of this area. This private tour was one of our best.

It was a lot of talking but we didn’t get to the old town at all. I would suggest that should be included. The break at chocolate shop was nice the the guide spoke a lot and we were ready to leave 20 minutes before him.

We booked this tour based on the very positive reviews of others on Viator.
We were very disappointed. First off, the guide was 30 minutes late, so we were standing at the meeting point for awhile. Not the biggest deal. The guide walked with us into a park, where she showed us a statue of Chopin (OK, but not really a hidden gem). We then walked into the park further where she showed us a statue that she had a personal investment with; said her grandmother sculpted it. At this point it started raining heavily - not her problem, but we could not continue; we were thoroughly soaked. We took a bus back to our downtown hotel and dried out. She offered to continue the next day which we had already booked something. We agreed to meet 2 days later to continue. She was late again, and took us to the Warsaw Cytadella, which I would not say is a hidden gem at all. We walked through the museum with almost nothing explained to us about what this actually was. We left after that, and it took 3 Ubers to find us to pick us up. Our guide didn't even stay with us to make sure we were getting back to downtown Warsaw. It was, to say the least, not exactly the most positive experience we had in Poland. And for the money paid, it was most certainly not worth it.

This tour really showed us the rich history and modern beauty of Warsaw. Our guide truly shared with us hidden gems such as the Belvedere garden, Scandinavian wooden houses, Jewish Ghetto memorials and armistice memorial. These type of tours help one to see the real city and not just places that are tourist favourites.
Lots of walking but we saw so much and now really appreciate how wonderful Warsaw is.

The wonderful guide was right on time and we began the long walking tour. This was a personalized tour and we ended up seeing many unique spots that are NOT in any guide book. He answered all my questions and pointed out many interesting things about architecture and talked about Soviet times and influences on the city, the war and reconstruction. We stopped for warm cup of coffee and a break along the way. The tour ended near the Castle and entrance to Old Town and after walking over 10 km I chose not to climb up the steps to the viewing platform, plus it was snowing at the time. Very enjoyable day with great guide.

Our tour guy, Wit, was friendly and accommodating, and pleasant to spend the morning with. He texted from the meeting point to ensure we would find him. We mostly walked around the main points of interest around Warsaw. He provided lots of interesting information about the architecture, their time periods, the building and rebuilding of Warsaw after the uprisings/war; he explained for the different time periods, the architectural styles and impacts on Warsaw’s look and, implicitly, modern life of the city. He provided useful information about dining areas, restaurants and other things to do around Warsaw. Our disappointment was the lack of depth of historical information he provided at the various sites we visited. For the cost of a private tour, and compared to those in other cities, this tour provided considerably less in that regard.

Mona was an amazing guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and amiable. Mona gave great insight into the past and present information about key sites and life in Warsaw. The Cherry liquor isn’t something I’d have at home but it was really delicious. An extremely pleasant experience and introduction to Warsaw. Highly recommend.

In 2 hours time you see more and hear more from 300 years of history of Berlin. Unbelievable the knowledge of this man about the city and its history. We had a wonderful time listening to the stories and explanations of the different building styles and restaurations. You have to drive with him. Especially if you want to see a little more than the Reichstag, Brandenburger Tor and checkpoint Charlie.

My tour guide was superb!! As we walked through Warsaw, he filled me in on the history of the city from the first king, WW II, the Soviet occupation of Poland, to contemporary times. We finished yhe tour with a great cup of coffee and a visit to a busy indoor food market. We walked all over the city!! I learned so much about Warsaw and its history- I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves to learn and experience new things!

Mona was our local guide. She was extremely informative on Polish history and the city of Warsaw’s architecture. My wife and I enjoyed a through walking tour in a lovely snowy afternoon. Mona treated us to wonderful chocolates and coffee at a cozy cafe. We highly recommend this tour for all. At the end of the tour she assisted us in getting a cab from old town back to our hotel.
